"Blackout?" Haikal and Heru's forehead shriveled upon hearing the familiar black Blazer organization's name in their ears.
As a Blazer candidate who has often investigated various things related to the world per-Blazeran, the name Blackout is no stranger to both.
The blackout mentioned here is a black Blazer organization that is quite often confused in various parts of the world per-Blazeran, an organization that can be said******** for all countries.
No one knows where their center is, but Blackout chronicles many ominous events across the country's various histories, one of its victims being Wulodhasia.
There was once a great tragedy that caused so many casualties and losses in Wulodhasia a few years ago. This disaster is not just an ordinary disaster, but is known to be a Blackout plan.
"You don't seem to be strangers to this organization." Dahi Veindal shriveled in wonder how Haikal and Heru could have been so calm when he offended one of the black Blazer organizations like Blackout, when it should have been teenagers their age at least surprised or a little panicked when they heard it.
"Well, whatever it is, look at this." Veindal fiddled with his phone for a moment then showed a video clip that caught the attention of the two young men.
In the video, a pair of young Skymaze academy uniformed men are walking on a fairly quiet road at night. There was nothing strange about the two, before a shadow could be seen stabbing the young man from behind.
Haikal and Heru widened their eyes as they watched the scene of the attack feeling shocked, "School head, what happened to him? Is he safe?"
"Yes, he is currently being treated in the same hospital as you. His life wasn't threatened anyway," Veindal explained to Haikal's reaction, which seemed so alarmed, "It happened last night, so maybe you were sleeping when he was taken to the emergency room."
Haikal gulped his saliva thinking back to last night he heard a crowd from his room, but he went back to sleep thinking it was just an ordinary accident. He never expected that the crowd came from students of one school.
"Chief, why are you showing us this video?" Ignoring his seemingly disturbed best friend, Heru asks wondering why Veindal showed them this video, but the two have nothing to do with this incident.
Veindal did not answer but simply played back the video on his phone, slowing down the speed of the video and pausing it right on one scene. He then pointed at the stabbing's arm, "You know what this is?"
Heru's eyes were slightly widened while his tongue was locked, he knew clearly what was on the piercer's arm, "Blackout Coat...." Spontaneously Heru's mouth moved without realizing it.
Veindal nodded slowly confirming Heru's analysis, he then showed several similar videos to the two youths in front of him. The place and the victims are different, but the time and the events remain the same. All of the victims were students of the Skymaze academy and the culprits were members of Blackout.
"Their victims were not random, but almost all of the first-class students who participated in the Welcome Tournament" Veindal said, surprising Haikal and Heru, who have since identified some of the victims, but they really did not think their guesses were real.
Veindal also said Jack received several similar attacks, but he could overcome them even though he did not succeed in paralyzing the perpetrator.
"I also got a warning from Verna who had also been attacked, but I didn't think the target was the participants." Heru began to tremble feeling clueless as to what reason Blackout was doing all this. No, actually he had a guess, but he did not dare to speak.
True, Verna also got an attack, but she kept it a secret from many people to avoid things. Perhaps only Heru, Jack, and Cecil knew it as a form of warning.
"You might guess, but I'll make it clear. Their goal can be ascertained are Blazer candidates who are considered talented and have potential, which means you are also included in their goals." Veindal gave a sharp look giving a big warning to both of them not to do the no-no.
Haikal and Heru themselves knew an organization as big as Blackout was not something that could be handled alone, either, even if the two combined forces it was unlikely that they would win a fight against Blackout members whose average was an Intermidate to Advance level Blazer.
Although Haikal is a Blazer candidate who is able to defeat Edward who is not an Expert level and managed to get Awakening at a young age, it does not mean he can face official Blazers who have real fighting experience.
After explaining what he wanted to explain, Veindal turned his gaze to Haikal before taking out and giving his card to the young man in front of him, "Haikal, if you experience a similar incident please contact me immediately." Veindal also gave her business card to Heru.
"Okay, thanks for the attention." Haikal took the business card and read it a glance before it was stored into the pocket of the clothes, "By the way the principal, I want to ask you something."
"Hmm? What do you want to ask?" Veindal's eyebrows slightly raised to find Haikal's curiosity.
The young man was silent for a moment hesitating to ask something that stuck his mind, "As a Cardinal-level Blazer and one of the people who knew him, do you know how my father, Raditya Aldra, disappeared?"
The question surprised Veindal as well as Heru who was beside him, creating a silence for a while making the atmosphere around them awkward, but the silence was broken by Veindal who immediately raised his voice, "Are you sure you want to hear it?"
Haikal nodded quickly without needing to think twice. He had been curious for a long time about how his father disappeared during the mission of the Lost Crescent, this kind of rare opportunity certainly did not want to be wasted by him.
Veindal took and exhaled a series of breaths for a moment before beginning to explain what he knew slowly to Haikal, it took some time for Veindal to explain and Haikal digested everything.
Upon hearing everything Veindal said, Haikal spontaneously hit the table in front of him until it broke, "I expected it. But I wish I was wrong." Haikal clenched his hands tightly until the blood of the time was so angry and sad.
"Room...." Heru felt pain in his chest seeing the reaction of his only friend, feeling that he could not do much for Haikal.
The truth revealed by Veindal is actually not something that can be told freely, even to a Blazer candidate like Haikal and Heru though, he said, but at least Veindal feels this can be said one way to express his gratitude other than with words alone.
