"Do you believe in prophecy?" I asked HansH as I served our first meal as a married couple, while HansH sat back at the table enjoying his hot coffee.
She shook her head. "Come," he said. "Why really? How did the topic of prophecy suddenly come up?"
"It's okay. Just ask."
But HansH looked at me suspiciously. "O yeah? I can't believe it. There's gotta be a reason, right?"
"You're this. He asked, asking, "my snail who was fighting with the frying pan.
HansH even grinned wide as I turned towards him. "You remember, don't you, what I said before we went to bed? I'm your husband," he said, directly touching on status. "Don't hide anything from me."
"Why is our discussion so long?"
"Why is it?"
"What?"
"Why are you asking about the prophecy? Don't tell me you went to fortune-telling?"
"No. Where is it possible." I turned back, shaking strongly. "Really, I won't let you down. I respect your faith completely."
HansH looked at me suspiciously. "So?"
"Someone told me without asking."
"And you believe?"
"Not knowing."
I refocused on my fried fish, grabbed the spatula and felt its maturity was enough then served it to a porcelain plate.
HansH cleared his throat slowly. "Actually, maybe in this world there are indeed people who have the ability to see the future. It could be, right? And maybe, it could be that what he saw was something that would really happen in the future. But the important point is, what a fortune-teller foretells, we must not set as a benchmark that it must happen. In a sense, we cannot trust the astrologer completely. Let's just say. emm. For the only thing we can trust is something that the Owner of Life has established and determined. Like our belief in the apocalypse. We believe that one day it will really happen. Because God said. But when it comes to human prediction, don't trust it completely, let alone trust it with faith. No, huh? You understand what I mean?"
I nodded, though I was a little lazy to listen to his long speech. Like being lectured. "I don't mean to trust a fortune teller like I believe in God, who you said was a monk. It's not like that."
"But...?"
"But...."
"What did the astrologer say?"
I smiled knot. I put my fried fish in front of HansH at the dinner table. Then put the rice on his plate. "The fortune teller said that I'm going to have a child soon."
HansH was bearded, his expression flat as if he could already guess what the prophecy was. Which makes me wonder he's not smiling. Flat expression.
"You believe in his prophecy?"
"Yes, maybe, who knows."
"Music, sweetie."
"Yes, anyway. It can be considered a prayer, right? Aren't you happy to hear that, or at least say aamiin?"
This time he nodded slowly. "Aamiin," he said, with a rather loud volume, then took out a piece of fried fish, adding a squeeze of orange onto it.
He nodded again. "Aamiin," he repeated. "But still, just as a good hope. Don't be used as a belief because believing in the soothsayer is the same as the deed of the priest, okay?"
I nodded back. "I know," I said.
"And one more thing" he said carefully. He's cleared his throat. "If you make the prophecy a wish, but fate is not as beautiful as your hope, then do not blame anyone, including blaming yourself, blaming others, the fortune teller, let alone blaming God. Because you have to have broad patience, which is unlimited. Don't let disappointment make you lose faith. You understand that?"
I thrust a spoonful of macaroni and cheese in front of her face and she ate it. And my smile was the answer. "The menu's good, right?"
"of course. You can always satisfy me."
Eh? I glared while HansH smiled sillyly.
"i'm serious. I'm satisfied."
"My HansH.., "my protest.
"Really, Honey. But...."
"But what?"
"Nothing is as pleasant and wise as you are. You're the only one, the wisest I've ever felt."
Hmm. I took a deep breath and lowered my dress zipper. "There's still time. You want?"
"of course. But later, after we're done eating."
Oh, I guess he and I were both joking, but they weren't. After the dishes were removed, HansH actually grabbed me.
"Forgot your dishwasher first" he whispered in his ear, then pulled me away from the sink. He hugged me, kissed my lips, cheeks, and neck, and then started all over again. "We need to go to the room and take a shower right after."
Well, why don't you. We continued to kiss and tease each other while walking until we entered the master bedroom. With clothes strewn on the floor and bodies sweating, we made love on that damp morning.
In the room, HansH immediately pulled me to the bed, squishing and squeezing my body under his burly body. And look at me deeply. "I love you so much" he said, wholeheartedly, so deeply as if it were not the love speech he used to say and the one he used to hear. "Be my heavenly angel in every life."
I'm nodding. "As you once said to me, I also promise you forever. With you in every life."
With one stylish move, HansH caught my hand and raised it to his lips. "And not only that, I want the warmth of your love at all times, and your warmth at every time I need you" she replied dramatically, staring at my knuckle and into my eyes.
I pulled my hand back, pressed it against HansH's chest and seemed to feel the fear he felt, which I faintly saw from both eyes. But what's up, and why? I don't know why.
Unable to hold back, HansH rubbed my cheek again with his hand. "So there is still time before dawn. Mari, feel the thrill of chasing time."
Ah, silly. Now he's trying to get me to play around in this bed. I chuckle.
Suddenly, he slid down on my body and buried his face in a pink indentation between my legs. Strong and heavy, can* deeply overreaching. Inevitably, he made me wonder*strong with his hips curved on the bed.
"I'm so happy to joke with you like this" HansH said after returning to ride and aligning himself with me. Overlapping me back with the whole weight. "And you know," he said softly, barely whispering in front of my face, "it would not have been the same if it weren't for you. You will never be replaced. In all my life, I've always wanted to be this warm with you. It's warm..this." HansH lifted up his body slightly, turned himself in, and entered me slowly. Unite. and perfect. "This is so warm" he whispered back. "Memory this moment for the rest of our lives, Alisah. I love you so much."
The deg!
It's too deep, and I can't really interpret it.
What exactly does HansH want me to understand? I really don't understand....
