After almost 3 hours, we finally landed safely at Polonia Airport, Medan, after a 2.5-hour flight.
After the baggage collection was completed, we both headed to the terrace of the arrival terminal which was crowded with prospective passengers or also newly arrived passengers, such as me and some who picked up. I saw a man and a woman waving their hands at both of us, I thought they were Mr. Ali and his wife.
"Haline? I'm Mr. Ali."
"Yes, Sir. I'm Halina."
"Welcome back to the field. When was the last time you went to the field?" ask Mr. Ali.
"Wow, the last time you moved to Jakarta was, at the age of 5 years, meaning 19 years ago," I replied.
"Well, this is the same as the first time to Medan. Welcome to the city of Medan, where Opung met Bones," joked Pak Ali.
"Oiya, congratulations on your marriage" continued Mr. Ali.
"Thank you, sir," answered both of us.
"Then we walk now," continued Mr. Ali as he walked to the edge of the terrace and called his car to get closer.
"Come, please get on, please" said Mr. Ali after his car approached.
"Lin, you just go up, let Mr. Ali and Tyo who enter his belongings into the trunk," said Bu Ali.
I also boarded the vehicle with Bu Ali.
"Lin, mumpung still in Medan, if you want to shop for the needs in the garden at all, mumpung in the city, because there must be a lot you have to buy," continued Bu Ali.
"So nerepotin," I said.
"No, I'm glad I could help. The train's gonna be noon, right? We're shopping for lunch before we go to the station" said Bu Ali.
Sure enough, Mr. Ali drove us to the largest shopping center in Medan.
"Please shop, I'm both just waiting here" said Mr. Ali in front of the coffee shop from Uncle Sam.
"Thank you, sir," answered both of us.
We soon entered the French hypermarket shopping area.
I pushed the shopping trolley towards the glassware area to buy dishes and glasses, as well as various other kitchen utensils.
"Pending not much, bother carrying it on the train. Later also can still shop in Rantau Prapat or Pinang City," said Tyo.
I also obey him. I only buy equipment that is needed immediately.
The time continued to run until 1 hour later, we finally began to queue up payments at the cashier.
Mr. Ali's wife approached us while we were doing transactions at the cashier.
"Wear this, Ma'am," Pak Ali's wife told the cashier, handing over a payment card from one of the national banks.
"Eh Ma'am, no. I'm ready for the money" I refused.
"No papa, consider this a gift for the newlyweds" replied Bu Ali.
"But the reception time is over" I said.
"Hmm yes it has been, no papa, I treat as long as you are here. The new household needs are many, so don't mind this," Bu Ali replied as he signed the payment slip.
"Here you go, we continue to have lunch," asked Bu Ali.
Me and Tyo complied, even though I felt sorry for the kindness of Mr. Ali and his wife.
We also walked down the shops inside the Mall which is no less magnificent than the one in Jakarta.
"The stuff I put first in the car, Lina went with Bu Ali to find a place to eat. Tyo came with me" said Mr. Ali.
We then split up. Then, Bu Ali took me to a typical Malay restaurant.
"We eat here, yes. Let's try what kind of Malay food, will you?" ask Bu Ali.
"May, ma'am," I answered.
While waiting for our food to come, we also talked after Tyo and Pak Ali came, after putting groceries in the car.
"Know where?" ask Mr. Ali.
"We're friends in High School, we were classmates in 1st grade" Tyo replied.
"So you've been dating from High School?" mama Ali asked, which made us both laugh.
"No dating, Mom. Immediately put to marriage with mother," I replied.
"Live the application, Trus can call here, so early in February I'm already in the garden" added Tyo.
"So yesterday came home for a wedding?" ask Mr. Ali.
"Not really, but yes together with the office business, let it go, the event was accelerated in May," replied Tyo.
"Initially at the end of the year, then it becomes the middle of the year" I added.
"All fast paced yes, hopefully the age of the marriage is not fast, but durable until death separates," said Mr. Ali who we both amenkan.
After lunch, we headed back to Masjid Al Mashun, which is not far from the train station, to pray dzuhur before we went to the station. Me and Tyo prayed, because we counted travelers who were still on the way.
Soon we headed to the train station, passing through Merdeka Walk. The field is crowded around the pujasera, some famous food and drink stalls are seen among the local stall-stalls.
"Alhamdulillah, it has arrived. This is the title of meeting to separate, meeting for a moment, not long we separated," said poet Bu Ali.
"Ah Mother made melow. Thank you, Mom," I replied.
"Later to hear, if it has arrived," he added again.
"Yes ma'am, in shea Allah will be spoken soon" I replied.
"Oiya, this is for snacks on the train or later after arriving home," said Bu Ali while handing over a bag containing ambon bika and Meranti sponge typical of Medan, also 2 bottles of drinks.
"Eh, ma'am, how's it gonna be this way?"
"Not bothered, just buy it anyway, not make it. Make snacking on the train, yes," replied Bu Ali as he patted my shoulder.
"Thank you, Mom. Thank you very much" I said, hugging him.
Then we both immediately boarded the Sribilah train that was waiting to be dispatched to Rantau Prapat.
"Now at 1:15, it will arrive at Rantau Prapat around 7 pm. After arriving, we have dinner first, continue to pray, then continue to the Garden," said Tyo.
"Hmm, means later until his house really dong night?" my many.
"Yaaa around 10-11 pm, let's not be surprised to see the entrance to the housing, if the day must be shocked," replied Tyo.
"Why?" my many.
"It's like a forest, so later we will explore palm oil forests, after that we just met the factory, office trus, new housing complex," explained Tyo.
"Away from the highway?" my many.
"Hmmm about 45-50 minutes," Tyo replied which made me widen my eyes.
"There's still 1 hour to get to her house?!!" I just can't believe it.
"Yes, honey, it's still 1 hour away. The total is about 9 hours drive, because the location is closer to the border of Riau, if from Langga Payung to Pekanbaru, about 8 hours by car," replied Tyo.
"Seriously still in the same province? 9 Hours it has reached Purwokerto if you take a car from Jakarta. Gede very yes this is North Sumatra," said I.
"Yaa, because Langga Payung is south of North Sumatra, so the name of the district is South Tapanuli, because it is located in the south of North Sumatra," explained Tyo.
"Alright, so and thank you for the explanation of geography, sir. Ish, I'm the IPS, are we switching positions?" candaku.
Tyo laughed, then he replied, "Mas knows because it's been here for 3 months, so it's been a little bit understanding of the areas here, the minimum that is often passed."
I also looked at the window, the natural scenery was very much different from Java Island. If in Java along the way will be a lot of cross rice fields, rubber forests and rivers, but in North Sumatra, only oil palm plantations are visible as far as the eye can see.
