Self Healing
Episode 39 Welcome to Batam

Batam Island is an island located in the Riau Islands Province, which is adjacent to Singapore, which makes it one of the outermost islands in Indonesia. So close to Batam Island with Singapore, we can see the skyscrapers of Singapore from the window of our residence located on the 7th floor of Awassuka Brothers Hospital.

We occupied a room measuring 4x7.5 m, the same size and facilities as the VIP treatment room, except for a refrigerator that was not available. While the king-size bed, television and wardrobe, all of that has been available. This is where we live in the next few years.

"Mas, what if we pretend to be costing? So every month, we divert funds 500-750 thousand, pretending to spend, but the money goes into my account, well in Mas's account, make monthly operations," I proposed to Tyo at some time.

"This is Allah" replied Tyo.

But in my first months in Batam, our needs were big enough to meet the contents of the kitchen. We had to buy electric stoves, as we were prohibited from using gas in the room for safety reasons. We also bought a refrigerator, an object that must be owned in order to store food. As well as containers for storing children's clothing. Then the refrigerator and magic com, became the most important equipment that must be owned in addition to the stove.

2 months after my arrival in Batam, my parents came to visit because the father and members of his office were on vacation by playing golf on the field on this island. Besides, it's also because I'm approaching the time of my son's delivery.

"How many golf days, sir ?" my many.

"Two days, tomorrow golf at Southlink continues the day after tomorrow at Sekupang. Oiya, meet the fathers here, if you need shopping, mending all of you. Below is a car and a driver you can use" replied the father.

"Mother Temenin, mother is unemployed, here there are no mothers," added the mother.

"No mothers ?" my many.

"It's just a subsidiary branch office, it's all project people, its main branch office is in Pekanbaru" replied the father.

"Ooo, the office pantesan is so small!" sahutku.

"You know where the office is" asked Dad.

"The front is Magoya Hill, right ?" my answer.

"Know you too!"

"You know, it's true that going to Magoya must be skudatin" I replied.

Be that day, my mom and I shopped for my needs, while dad practiced hitting at the driving range and Tyo worked as usual.

Mom invited me to buy a kitchen cabinet in a shop that sells various household supplies, namely a portable kitchen set, which I can later use to put the stove and store dry food ingredients and other kitchen equipment. Then, I also bought a clothesline and a container to store the clothes of my future baby.

In the afternoon, the kitchen set was perfectly installed in our room. I placed it as a barrier between the entrance and the bed, so we had a private area, which was not visible when the door opened.

After a day of shopping for household supplies, I also felt a great contraction during the night break. While holding my hand and counting my pulse, Tyo helped me by giving instructions for me to regulate my breathing.

"Which, set the breath, pull it. hold it. release it."

"Please send a wheelchair to room 758, my wife is giving birth!" pinta Tyo who immediately contacted the ER.

Shortly after, I was immediately rushed to the delivery room located on the 2nd floor.

"Please contact dr. Neseya!" exclaim Tyo to the nurse on duty.

Meanwhile, midwives and nurses conduct a thorough examination to find out the condition of the fetus that I will soon give birth to. Before long, the Shahuhu Adhan was heard from the hospital musholla.

"How many cm?" ask Tyo to the midwife who examined me.

"5 cm, Doc."

Tyo looked at his watch, thinking of something visible from his serious facial expression.

"Yang, the prayer of the Jama'ah used to be in the mushola, yes. After the prayer, Mas went straight here again," said Tyo.

The pain of contractions made me only able to answer with a nod of my head. Moments later, a nurse came to bring me a breakfast package.

"Mom, breakfast first, let it be strong to spell it," said the midwife while helping me to sit.

"Thank you, ma'am," I said.

The pain of the contractions getting stronger and closer, made it difficult for me to enjoy this breakfast, but I slowly tried to finish off a bowl of chicken porridge and a boiled egg.

As time goes on, Tyo has returned from musholla and dr. Nesya had also arrived to help my labor, while the contractions I felt were getting stronger and more intense.

"We start, yes" said Dr. Nesya.

Tyo whispered a do'a in my ear while tightly grasping my hand.

A few moments later, at exactly 07:06 WIB, a tiny baby was crying loudly.

"Alhamdulillah, women," said dr. Nesya.

Unlike the first birth process, this time I can immediately see my baby and kiss him.

My daughter and I were placed in a VIP room, which was a facility for the doctor and his family.
