Self Healing
Episode 41 Life of a Doctor

The day changed, the children and I were used to life on the 7th floor and their father's work schedule, which sometimes had to leave them at night until in the morning.

But sometimes Tyo returns in the middle of the night to rest, which is when he gets a room guard schedule, where he serves in the treatment rooms.

"At the end, Mas?" my many.

"Aman, it's been checking all the floors, it's also been ordered if there is an emergency call to the room. Take a nap, 2 hours. It'll be 2 o'clock again."

But sometimes emergency things happen, like when I was tidying up the room, suddenly there was the sound of a firearm eruption from the highway. I saw it immediately from the window. I saw a couple of police cars in front of the hospital and a couple of cops running around arresting someone.

Tyo who was on duty in the ER also had to be overtime, because he should have returned before 4 pm, but today he has not returned while the time has shown at 6 pm. His phone hasn't been picked up since a few hours ago.

Until finally at around 9 pm, Tyo returned with a shabby face.

"Lho, what's the surgery suit?" my many.

"Yes, the shirt was stained with blood, but it was already used with alcohol, so the stain was not sticky," Tyo replied while showing the plastic containing his shirt.

Tyo then leaned his body on the sofa, his body language implying his physical and mental exhaustion.

I also gave him a glass of his favorite warm cappucino, while asking about the incident this afternoon.

"That was the police ...."

"Oh honey see ya?"

I also nodded.

"Yes, there was a recidivist, after being shot in the leg finally caught, and then immediately taken to the ER, yes this is the case," explained Tyo.

"Kok lama, isn't that what happened this afternoon?"

"Yeah, right after the suspect had to write a report for the police, then there is a media as well, so you have to give information first," explained Tyo.

"Oo, but I'm not papa, right?"

"Yes, I'm not a papa, just tired."

"I'm ready to eat, huh?"

Tyo answered with a nod of his head.

Back then, I had put Icha and Ara to bed faster because I knew, surely Tyo was very tired and wanted to rest immediately.

"Isa the same Ara sleeping?" ask Tyo.

"Yes, after dinner, the two of them went to bed. Who did you know, what father, how not to go home? I said, if you have another patient in the ER," I replied.

It was one of those hospital cases I knew from Tyo. Once upon a time, Tyo also had to overtime in the ER because the patient boomed.

"Record!"

"What record, Mom?"

"Today's ER patients total from morning until 7pm tonight, there are 24 people!"

"Much very?!"

"I don't know, from the morning it doesn't stop, there are accidents on the highway, there are work accidents, all sorts of things, really tired!" he said while leaning his body on the sofa.

"Yowes, Mas immediately take a shower, after that eat, pray trus can rest," I said while bringing a glass of warm cappucino.

In addition, the location of this island is very close to the island of Singapore, making the hospital where Tyo worked several times have to send or evacuate patients to the land of the lion's head. It was there that Tyo knew a business owner of medical emergency and evacuation, named Christopher or more often called Capt, because he was a retired captain of the Philippine Navy, which after his time of service ended, after his service ended, he decided to build his business in Singapore.

"Yang, in the afternoon ba'da dzuhur, there is an evacuation to Singapore. In Shayah Allah the sore went straight home," said Tyo one afternoon who suddenly returned to his room while he was on duty in the ER.

"I'm ready for what?"

"No need, no need. Just grab a backpack with a small towel and a head rug. Oiya, what will you buy?"

"Hmm what, don't you know? Buy it for the kids."

"Yowes ntar mas look around there what is there, yes. Do'ain let the trip go smoothly, yeah."

"Fii be safe."

In 3-4 months, Tyo will have a turn to evacuate and not every evacuation he can go home immediately, he said, sometimes he had to spend the night in Singapore and that was when he explored the city of Singapore with 2 nurses who were with him.

"Mom, Singapore is far?" ask Icha one time.

"Hmm not far, just 1 hour by ferry" I replied.

"Oiya Cha, look here yuk," asked me to look at the view from the window.

"Cha, you can see like there's a shadow of a building there, that far away."

Icha answered him by nodding her head.

"Well, it's Singapore...."

"Ooo daddy's going there. Bu pingin went there, right deket," pinta Icha half whining.

"Well, Allah, if there is sustenance, we go there" I replied.

"Why don't we go with Dad now?"

"You can't and can't, because you work" I replied.

But Tyo has prepared for the possibility that we can visit the Lion's head country, by making passports for us and our families when we return to Jakarta. Believe me, making a passport with two toddlers is not easy.

Icha cried in fear when she had to take her picture.

"The child is on my lap, sir. You can, but later the position of the body of the Father is somewhat kept away, so as not to enter the frame," said immigration officials.

Finally, the photo was successful, although the results of the photo Icha, still looks exhausted crying, because at that time Icha was less than 3 years old and Ara was only 7 months old.

Until after working for almost 2 years, Tyo got a scholarship offer from the director.

"Yang, I want to go to school S2, told to take the occupation."

"What is that inspection?" my many.

"Occupation is work medicine, hmm so the doctor for the company or employment is that," explained Tyo.

"The plan is to take in UI, if possible next year," added Tyo.

"Next year, means with the same schedule Icha enter TK dong?"

"Yes, this is the schedule, registration, tests and announcements" Tyo replied while showing the S2 program brochure in question.
