Self Healing

Self Healing
Episode 38 Return to Jakarta

My parents and Mbak Hana stayed for 2 nights, before they left for Medan on Monday morning. The farewell this time no longer feels heavy, because I already have a friend who can accompany me when Tyo goes to work.

Thank God for the presence of a tiny baby in this marriage, making my days more cheerful. Watching its development from day to day, is a very precious moment to miss.

In addition to the presence of Icha coloring our married life, Tyo offered me a new ART, which was much younger than before.

His name is Ninik, he is only 16 years old and he is like my brother. Ninik was very diligent, his work was quick and deft. I exchanged many stories with him, also sharing various snacks and recipes. One of the most important things is that I can share a little of the religious knowledge I have.

"Sir, you want to wear a hijab, don't you?" my many.

"You, Mom. But, I do not have the hijab, the clothes are also still short all kek gini," she replied.

Everyday, Ninik still uses short-sleeved shirts and jeans are quite tight, this is enough to make me uncomfortable.

Therefore, I offered her a headscarf and some clothes that she could use to cover her aura.

"Thank you, Mom! Thanks!" ninik said with sparkling eyes.

I also diligently gave Tausyiah to Ninik, about adab dress and socialize, in addition to teaching him various types of food and snacks that I know.

Entering the third month of the age of Icha, his skin slowly whitened, not as black and red as when he was born. Growth and development from day to day is at the upper threshold on the baby's health card.

Then at the end of the year, this company's annual holiday event excited me, because we will be on vacation to Lake Toba and Medan. The last time I went on vacation to Lake Toba was when I was still not in school, maybe around the age of 4, when my father was stationed in Sidikalang.

Our driver advised us to leave early, which is after Ashar time, so that we could stay overnight in Parapat so that Icha was not exhausted. While the group of staff left at midnight and they reached Parapat shortly before dawn.

Our schedule that day was to circle part of Lake Toba, then cross to Tomok, Samosir Island. The rain that fell from the dawn did not dampen my spirit to follow this journey.

We boarded a ferry that was designed without walls and windows, resulting in rainwater getting carried away by the wind and began to wet us. It didn't lose my mind to protect Icha, who I had worn warm clothes and a headscarf with, by opening the little umbrella I had placed in front of me.

"Mas, please hold her umbrella in front, let us not get wet, pity Icha," I asked Tyo.

Tyo immediately held his umbrella during the trip and sure enough, we remained dry until we reached Tomok.

Our trip for 3 days was quite pleasant, especially Icha was very obedient and calm during the trip.

In addition to year-end picnics, during our stay in Langga Payung, we also had time to take a walk to Padang Sidemuan to meet our High School friends who live there. I also had a chance to meet with my colleague at Junior High School, namely Cici who since graduating High School has settled in Medan.

Without notice, 2 years of Tyo's employment contract ended in early 2007. Tyo was proud of his achievements during his time as a doctor at Perkenunan Langga Umbrella PT. Golden Light.

"Alhamdulillah, Mas completed his service by leaving a new clinic building," that is what he said and who is not proud of the results of these achievements.

We returned to Jakarta and returned to live in my parents' house in Kelapa Gading. Before long, Tyo got a job as a doctor at Tanah Abang Puskesmas. But he only lasted for 3 months, because the stake is bigger than the pole. Then Tyo got a job back at Unda Margonda Hospital.

Finally Tyo relented after feeling tired driving in the middle of traffic density and began to ride public transportation. Until one time, I got a call from him while he was at work.

"Well, can you pick up Mas, can't you ?"

"What's up, to get picked up?" my many.

"It's not good, now it's a break in the ER" replied Tyo.

"Well, is the doctor even sick ?" candaku and finally I have to go to pick her up.

After that, I started to pay more attention to Tyo's physical condition, which was not as strong as I thought. He is easily tired and often exposed to the flu, due to dust allergies.

"Mas, this is a vitamin and supplement, taken every day, so as not to drop the condition," I said while giving a few bottles of supplements and vitamins.

Tyo accepted it with a smile, "Love, Yang," he said, peeping at my forehead.

Finally after a few months, he got a job offer elsewhere in Batam's largest private hospital. At that time, Bang Farhan, Tyo's senior on campus had worked 2 years at Awassuka Brothers Hospital, before finally offering Tyo a general doctor position.

Tyo also left first, because he had to prepare a place to stay for us later. At that time, I was pregnant with our second child and my concern about the cost of labor later was answered with a new job Tyo.

In the evening before departure, Jakarta was hit by heavy rain until the next day, which caused waterlogging in several areas of the capital. Including on the toll road from and to the airport, which began to be inundated with water levels reaching half a meter more.

"Can not continue anymore Mas, the water is high, if forced the car can go down the engine," said the driver who delivered us.

Some vehicles also choose to stop and turn around, then a truck passes in front of us and stops to transport prospective passengers to the airport.

"Airport, airport!" the truck driver shouted while waving his hand.

Seeing that, Tyo immediately took his bag and suitcase.

"Yes, I'm down here. Mas, get on that truck. Honey goes straight home, yes," said Tyo half in a hurry.

"Mas, be careful" I said anxiously.

"This is Allah, doain Mas, yes. Assalamu'alaikum," said Tyo shortly after kissing our daughter.

Seeing Tyo get out of the car, Icha was crying hysterically while yelling at her father, "Dad! Dad!...."

Somehow, her crying was contagious to me. I felt my eyes water, then I tightly hugged Icha's tiny body, to calm her down.
