Self Healing
Episode 27 In The Middle of No Where

It was getting darker and we were still on our way to PT oil palm plantation. Golden Light's.

"Where are we now?" my many.

"We just passed Kotapinang, the garden mothers usually shop in the market here," replied Tyo.

"The shopping schedule is every Tuesday in even week," added Wak Gepeng.

"Later we sat in the Garden Padang Halaban, on the right side of the road," continued Tyo.

All that information had no effect on me at all because it was getting dark, not much was seen without street lighting, only a few houses and trees were visible.

"Well, that's Padang Halaban's garden," point Tyo at a bend leading to PT's oil palm plantation area. Golden Light.

We continued walking again, for almost 1 hour. Then the car turned to the right, where it was filled with palm trees high on the right and left. This unpaved road made the vehicle we were riding in sway.

"Here we go to the middle of the forest?" my many.

"Yes, his housing and office are in the middle of the garden. Later we also mengelewatin CPOnya factory," replied Tyo.

I guess from the corner to the plantation is not far away to get to housing, it still takes about 1 hour to arrive at the staff housing complex PT. Golden Light.

After almost 1 hour on the uneven road, we finally arrived at a factory area with a chimney that still emits smoke. At the very least, I can see the scenery around, because after entering the factory area, the road is clearly visible with street lighting.

"Well, that's his house" Tyo pointed to an '80s-style house that was quite large, compared to other staff houses.

Wak Gepeng also parked the car next to the house, after which we began to lower our luggage.

"Assalamu'alaikum," said the two of us when entering the official house which I think is quite extensive.

The house, which is already filled with standard furniture, looks better than I imagined before. I didn't even expect to occupy this spacious enough house.

I also followed Tyo who walked first to the main room, where the room was located next to the wall of the living room.

"Home sweet home" Tyo said, hugging and kissing my forehead.

"The big house too, yes," I said with a smile.

"Yes, this is the standard house of the manager, so it's big" Tyo said.

I looked around the room, where there were 1 wardrobe, 1 dresser and 1 queen size bed, plus a fan that exhaled a breeze, which I found quite comfortable.

"Darling, take a shower first. Let Mas, settle the room," continued Tyo while opening my suitcase.

I cleaned my body and prepared for a night of rest.

That night, we both slept without much conversation before, as we were both quite tired with the long journey that day.

The next morning, I opened the curtains of my room. I saw a house surrounded by green scenery of tall and neatly lined palm trees.

"That's a guest message, so if there are guests they will be hosted there," said Tyo who seemed to read my mind.

"Newly want it's whose house, uh it's been answered," I said.

"Today, clean up the house or want to shop? Last night with a fan, wasn't it hot?" ask Tyo.

"Alhamdulillah is not hot, but the body is quite pegel. Today we go first, shopping the next weekend. Uh but, how do you cook?" my many.

"There are stalls in the cottage, if you want us to go there later, then there are vegetable makers who like to pass too, but do not know what time," replied Tyo.

"The lodge? What lodge?" I ask who does not understand, because as far as I know the cottage is a place to live or hut.

"Oiya, the cottage is called employee housing. If we're here at the staff housing," Tyo explained.

"Oo that, tho. Yowes we finish the room first. But anyway, the mattress is nothing thinner yak," I recounted last night when I lay my body on the mattress hoping it was soft and comfortable, but what I got was like sleeping on a wooden board covered in bedcovers.

"I'm sorry, I asked for a new mattress yesterday, but nothing. He said, his new bed next week came, hopefully true," Tyo replied with a small laugh.

"Honey clean the room, Cook the rice first, then help here," continued Tyo.

I answered him by nodding my head. Then I looked around the room, "Where did you start?" muttered.

I finally decided to clean the suitcase first. I took out one by one the contents of the suitcase and reassembled it in the wardrobe. Shortly after, Tyo came back and helped me tidy up all our luggage.

"Such an aside" said I who had not heard a voice.

"Seumuran, means the age of dong?" my many.

"Yes, our age. Uh he's a graduate of UnDip, Arga's classmate on campus. Know Arga?" ask Tyo.

"Know, that curly item, right?" my answer. Arga was our high school friend, even though I never had a classmate with him.

"Yes, later we invite him to eat, all of us invite him if you want to shop to Pinang City or Rantau Prapat," continued Tyo.

It took us about 2 hours to empty the contents of the suitcase and other luggage.

"Eventually everything is in its place!" relieved say.

"Nih, eat first," said Tyo while giving a piece of bika ambon.

"Mas, what's there to cook?" my many.

"There are eggs in the refrigerator, just like instant noodles," replied Tyo.

"Yowes I fried eggs first, oiya yesterday brought abon, eggs plus abon aja, yes," I said as I walked to the kitchen.

I opened the curtains attached to the kitchen window and let the sunlight in to illuminate this tiny kitchen.

Preparing a minimalist breakfast like this, only takes a moment and ready to be served at the dining table.

"Mas, breakfast first yuk," I asked.

"Yang, later we go to the cottage for grocery shopping or if we want to go a little far, buy food at Mas subscription restaurant here," said Tyo.

"Hmmm, just buy it, I want to see the garden sighting during the day" I replied.

Towards noon, we both went to look for lunch and shop for some kitchen necessities.

"Ready, we start off-roadnya," said Tyo as he drove slowly.

I looked at the window, saw towering palm trees circling the housing complex we occupied.

The housing complex looked deserted, there were only a few people who looked outside.

Tyo drove his vehicle slowly, because the road was uneven ground.

"Mas, the road is given what the hell, kayak there are hard items that," I asked.

"Ooo it's a palm shell that is spread on the street, a substitute for gravel," he replied.

"Ooo saves costs yes, great too" I said.

Then we passed through the main office complex, before re-entering the road full of palm trees on the right and left. After a 1-hour drive, we arrived at the main inter-provincial road. Inter-provincial passenger buses and palm-carrying trucks were a sight during our trip.

"Not many other vehicles?" my many.

"Yes, just a little bit, most likely a palm oil truck or bus. But if the motor is too much. Well, we have to be careful because they often walk at high speeds, not infrequently accidents also," replied Tyo.

Not far away from driving, Tyo stopped his car at a typical Malay restaurant to buy various side dishes.

"Siang Dok" said one of the waiters of the restaurant.

"Piang. Wrap it up, Bang. It was just as usual, as usual," said Tyo.

"Well, are you two, doctor's sister?" ask the waiter again.

We both laughed, then Tyo answered, "Adek met big, aka wife," replied Tyo.

"Eeeeh Brother Doctor is married apparently. Congratulations Doc! When did Doc, why didn't you invite me?"

"Just last week, in Jakarta. It was last night just arrived," replied Tyo.

"Ooo, then, welcome to the Doctor, hopefully at home" said the waiter.

"Thank you, but don't call me Doctor Ma'am, I'm not a doctor, my husband's doctor," I replied.

"That's funny this time Doctor Ma'am, did not want to be called Doctor Ma'am," he said again with a laugh.
