The Legend of the Devil

The Legend of the Devil
Ch. 01 - War in the Early Dawn

Horseshoe-steel moving horseshoe swamped the settlement. The warlocks were roaring, the hot wind blowing along with the destruction of the Phoenix Empire due to a midnight attack that killed thousands of people and its soldiers.

The Emperor did not immediately leave the throne even though hundreds of demons entered the palace and were ready to cut off his neck at any time, he stood up from the chair with great charisma, he pulled out the golden-eyed sword and unsheathed the sword towards the Demon King who had come with his dozens of troops.

"We will not forgive your race that has killed thousands of people with its cruelty. To avenge their deaths, I will end the entire demon race on this earth. I swear to it, even though one day the Phoenix Empire will be destroyed."

The Demon King's face turned furious.

"Didn't the one who started this feud be you? So afraid when the position of the humans was removed by the power we had and tried to get rid of the demons." The vengeful burning Demon King that had long since burned his heart to his mind, the lust to kill the man before him was turbulent.

"Return Reines to us. I know your wife is part of the demon race! Marriages between humans and demons are not allowed under any rules! You have incised a stain in the blood of our race, the child is a sin and must be killed at all costs!"

The Phoenix Emperor did not believe there was a traitor in his Empire, now the truth had been revealed bringing about a great war between the Phoenix Empire and the Demon Kingdom. He tightened his grip on the sword while shaking his head.

His wife had conceived their first child, he would not let anyone take his wife's child back to the Demon Kingdom. The place where his wife came from and was imprisoned. She loves Reines so much, though thousands of humans and demons oppose the marriage relationship between the two.

"I'm not going to give it to you. Although my kingdom and my life are at stake"

Suddenly the Demon King was before him, the Emperor widened his eyes as blood stained his robe and slowly dripped on the sword blade of the Demon King, he looked at the man with the red horn. The differences between them create hatred for each other. It is not strange anymore if a feud always arises between humans and demons. And now the time has come, the war is burning because of that hatred.

"Love has blinded you, Emperor Phoenix. I'll find your wife and child and kill them. They are the stains that tarnish our race. They are the real form of a sin."

The Phoenix Emperor fell all bloodstained on the floor of his palace, staring at the Demon King leaving with his great sword eyes scraping the floor. As the voice grew further away, the Phoenix Emperor raised his hand and said softly, "Run Reines ... Save our son."

The greatest war raged along with the thunder that constantly fell to smash whatever it struck. A drizzle soaks the ground that has been drained by a pool of blood. Thousands of houses were burned by the attacks of demon warriors. Their numbers are not much, but with the power they have to kill hundreds of thousands of people in one night is not impossible.

"Find Reines and her son until he can! Kill them and bring the bodies to me!" shouted the Demon King who made his troops increasingly intensively finish off the humans.

The Phoenix Empire was like a sea of flames filled with dying cries and flames rising, it was now on the verge of its destruction. The Emperor had been killed along with his council, officials, and advisors.

Even their soldiers had been killed first by the demon army. There was nothing left of them nor could anyone save them from the attack. In addition, his people are also still being massacred.

In a very hidden house, a red-haired woman with two horns on the middle head gave birth to her first son. She was the wife of the Phoenix Emperor. The foggy and gripping morning had faded the moonlight, cloudy clouds as if running in pursuit, spilling rain that instantly silenced the screams of slaughter on the ground.

The fire in the Phoenix Empire did not go out immediately. Blood fish strong smell. In front of the house, dozens of corpses were drenched in blood by the actions of one demon with a whip. The female demon with horns visible on both heads walked towards the door. Where a woman's voice is heard in the baby's cry after her.

But he didn't find a baby there.

The demonic woman entered the house and soon after the screams of death were heard echoing. Blood splashed down the walls and floor, some heads severed and then rolling in front of the door.

His Devil Tail had just pierced the heart of a female healer. He circulated a glance, his face furrowed in annoyance. With a rude gesture the demonic woman smashed the back door of the house and from afar saw a woman wearing a beautiful dress with the golden symbol of the Phoenix Empire running limping away carrying her son.

"My son, hang in. You'll live, wherever you are..."

He had fallen because his consciousness was thinning, blood was still pouring on his legs. But the woman immediately got up as fast as she could.

"... Be a good and strong boy. Mom and Dad love you more than anything. But only up to here did I keep you company." He stroked his son's cheeks gently. Put it on a basket that floats over the stream. Leaving some belongings with her son and making sure the thick cloth protected her son from the cold.

A small horn was seen on the child's head, the woman took out a dagger and cut off half the horn until the child cried. Blood flowed on her son's head, and the mother cried. She hugged him tightly for the last time, her eyes shedding tears. His body could no longer stand.

"Go, take good care of yourself ..."

"We love you, always." He let go of the basket floating along the stream, hoping that his son would survive.

When her son had disappeared under the river she knew someone had been behind her back, the woman was ready with death and just gazed deep into the direction where her son had last been seen.

"You're a traitor, Reines."

The demon lady was his cousin. The Phoenix Queen's real name was Reines, no one but her husband knew this truth except the Emperor's right hand. Reines turned back, about to attack the woman.

A red whip wrapped around her neck, the female demon raised a hand that instantly turned into a sword. Stabbing Reines' heart while pulling her hair up until Reines looked up forcibly.

The Phoenix Queen fell to the ground, her heart being crushed from within. He was just slashed on the ground, while the demonic woman was staring at the rushing stream.

"Currently, let's just say he drowned in the river. I must tell His Majesty the King and bring this traitor to him."
