The Legend of the Devil

The Legend of the Devil
Ch. 211 - A Name Behind Terror

A dozen years ago, the Diqiu Empire was embroiled in a devastating war that shook the entire region.

The war became a historic moment that destroyed nearly half the center of the Empire, tearing apart the foundations that had been built over the centuries. Thousands of brave and valiant warriors lost their lives in battle, leaving an atmosphere of deep sorrow throughout the empire.

The war was sparked by their ambition and greed to gain power and control over the abundant natural resources that had triggered the inevitable conflict.

Fierce battles break out on the battlefield, and remote villages crumble into ruins as a wave of violence spreads across the country.

In the war that engulfed Diqiu Empire, warriors became heroes and their sacrifices were rewarded by the entire Empire. But also, behind those victories and sacrifices, there were countless sorrows. People who have lost their families, grieving friends, and broken hearts by being separated from their loved ones.

Grief crept throughout the empire, reminding people of the price to be paid by heroes and innocent victims. Monuments and memorials were erected to honor those who fought and sacrificed themselves in the bloody war.

The Diqiu Empire never forgot the tragedy, and the hope of peace continued to live in the hearts of the remaining people.

In the shadow of the war that had ensued, the Diqiu Empire sought to rebuild, re-establish severed ties, and restore confidence in unity and peace. The process may be long and winding and it is difficult to heal wounds and continue to burn after such an unforgettable tragedy.

Countless how many hundred souls were drifting, harming damage and other destruction. It took years to recover from the incident.

The usurpation of heirlooms has been going on for thousands of years, at a time when everyone wanted a power that could make them incomparable and even rival gods. They did not hesitate to kill each other. The tremors of destruction blew across the region.

Then in those crisis years stood the group of black streams that surprisingly shook the entire Empire.

No one had ever known the identity of the secret group. The name of the leader is never known. They were like ghosts lurking in the darkness and waiting for the right time to start destruction.

Many assumed the war that crippled Diqiu Empire a dozen years ago was the interference of the group. But on the other hand again 'Red Fangs' involved in the attack so that no one can be sure who is the real mastermind behind the puzzle.

In the middle of the battlefield that was burned by the flames of war, the silhouette of a swordsman seemed to stand firmly. Red flames lit up around him, enveloping the battlefield with a burning heat. In that state, the warrior remained standing upright, not trembling in the least.

The wind blew violently, messing up his long hair that was fluttering in the air.

His sword glittered in the sunlight that entered through the gaps of the clouds, ready to face the challenging enemies.

In that atmosphere, there was no sign of fear or hesitation in his movements.

The same man drew a smile as he shook his head and said, "That was many years ago. But I can still feel the heat of war and the thick scent of bloodshed." The once young face was now wrinkled. His burly body like a fighter had now bowed slightly. He was no longer friends with the sword but with a fishing hook.

Inside the flames of war, Qi Zhang saw a figure in a white robe. Quietly alone in the middle of the traffic of the humans who fled from the disaster.

The face he saw back then was the most terrifying face Qi Zhang had ever met.

Back with their slightly silent talk, Qi Zhang let out a heavy sigh.

"The war has passed. I changed my job to an information seller and was determined to uncover who the male figure I saw standing in the middle of the blaze a dozen years ago ..." Qi Zhang held back his sentence with a sliced look.

"However, although I was able to find fragments of mystery from all corners of the world, I was never able to uncover who the man I saw that day was."

Xue Zhan was stunned.

Qi Zhang had already seen what he saw for a longer time and still did not even find the answer.

The war trigger has been again seen and the day of that destruction will again cripple Diqiu Empire and even the other three Empires.

"But you said you had the answer to my question?" reload Xue Zhan made sure.

"I didn't say I could answer all your questions. But I said I know who you are."

"Why?" The question was asked with a confused face. Qi Zhang poured Xue Zhan's cup of cr drinks while laughing briefly.

"You're just like the old me, young man."

The young man further furrowed his brows, "You mean?"

"When I became a swordsman, I was only 17 years old. I lost my family in that war and saw the figure I was telling you about before. I was determined to find him and avenge me. Change jobs and live undercover for life."

He gulped down his drink before returning to speak, "it was all in vain."

He went back on. "I know a lot about you because I think your strength is the target of their men. I guarantee one hundred percent you'll join those people. But my guess was wrong. I thought you'd join them immediately on the grounds of revenge or greed that's in your heart."

He looked at Xue Zhan. "You choose another path, meet many people and have a close relationship with them. You've come a long way to find all the answers you need."

Xue Zhan looked at Qi Zhang who was slightly lowered still with his eyes straight. "What if I say that man is the cause of the destruction of the demons on earth? They were also the cause of your father's and mother's deaths?"

"I don't mind what happened before my birth. I just want to find the end of the matter and find my teacher and my friend."

"Think what questions you want to know."

"Is my teacher alive?" xue Zhan asked directly. Those red eyes looked so hopeful. Qi Zhang paused for a few seconds before issuing a reply.

"There has been much speculation and rumors about his death. The last time anyone said they found Kang Jian's body at the mouth of the river ..."

Xue Zhan should not have expected more, his eyes dropped staring at the table in an inexplicable disappointment.

The man went into more detail about what he's been investigating over the years

The wolf was the most cunning man ever. He assembled his evil plan with infinite ingenuity, using deceit and falsification of information as his main weapon.

In the shadows of the darkness, he plotted the path to power by inciting conflict and destroying existing trust.

He is adept at falsifying information, using his skills in manipulation to change facts and create false stories that will influence the views of others. He does not hesitate to take advantage of the weaknesses and ignorance of others to achieve his evil goals.

The enemy became the mastermind behind the death of Master Xue Zhan and the seizure of the heavenly heirloom. He spread false rumors, created intrigue, and pitted the warriors against each other for conflict and self-defeating. In a world filled with fight and competition, he moves agilely and invisibly, controlling information networks with terrifying skill sets.

The tactic is to blur the line between truth and lies, making it difficult for anyone to distinguish fact from falsehood. He tricked many people by making himself a trusted source of information, when in fact he was just creating a storyline that fit his plan.

This cunning wolf planned each step carefully, keeping his identity secret and making sure that no one could reveal his true identity. He moves behind the curtain, controlling the invisible threads of power and making everyone like pawns in his deadly game.

The atrocities and distrust resulting from the falsification of this information gave rise to the chaos and conflict that engulfed the martial world. People become suspicious and suspicious of each other, friendships are destroyed, and the forces that should have been united are divided. The wolf takes advantage of this situation to achieve his evil ambitions, controlling the game with his cunning brain.

He is the most cunning and dangerous enemy, able to shake and distort the martial world with the power of his deceit. Everything related to his plan will be faked, confusing the warriors who are trying to uncover the truth.

Only with the same thought and intelligence could Xue Zhan uncover who the real mastermind behind all of this was.

Qi Zhang looked confident as he spoke his next sentence.

"But I can guarantee ninety-nine percent of your master is still alive. The mastermind behind all this is the most cunning wolf that ever lived. He'll falsify the information on everything related to his plan."

Xue Zhan raised his face suddenly, his expression slightly brighter when he heard that his premonition was correct.

"Teacher's still alive? This is really good news, thank you. Thank you for telling me." Xue Zhan was so grateful.

"You know where Teacher Kang is?"

"Don't know. If he was still alive I'm sure he wouldn't stay for long in one place for having become a fugitive" Qi Zhang replied clearly.

Xue Zhan nodded. "next statement ... About Jiazhen Yan. You know about him?"

"I told you, I have all the information from the end of the Bing Empire to the end of Diqiu Empire."

Xue Zhan nodded. "Where is he now? Is he still alive? And if he was still alive, what did he do that should disappear from Diqiu Empire?"

Qi Zhang replied. "He's still alive. And the answer this time will probably be bad news for you."

After previously hearing the good news, Xue Zhan had to get some bad news about his friend.

A few seconds of digesting Xue Zhan finally nodded. "Tell me."

"Jiazhen Yan joined the group of villains from Mount Qin and became the direct subordinate of their chairman, during these five years having slaughtered at least tens of thousands of people. He was already a cold-blooded assassin targeted across the continent, his head rewarded with a very high price. And they called your friend by the name of 'Substitute of the Laws of the Heavens'."

Xue Zhan's heart stopped beating for a moment.

Qi Zhang had indeed said this was bad news, but Xue Zhan had never expected it to be this bad. More than he expected and instantly made his entire bones limp.

How could she explain to Jiazhen Wu what happened to her son now?

Xue Zhan made sure not to believe it. "How do you know this?"

"Isn't it clear? He was the sole successor of the pure fire power of the Jiazhen clan. If you look in more detail at the slaughterhouse, you'll find that pure fire."

Xue Zhan was speechless as he seemed to feel that Qi Zhang's speech was correct. Cold hands.

Jiazhen Yan allied with the enemy for no apparent reason. This explained why Xue Zhan saw the young man looking sinister inside his dream. He had turned into a terrifying assassin to terrorize the entire Empire.

Xue Zhan had too often heard the news of the massacre that the Sky Law Substitute had committed. And never thought of the name of his own friend who was behind the name.

How would they meet someday and Xue Zhan have to kill his own friend?
