The Legend of the Devil

The Legend of the Devil
Ch. 93 - Memory Pieces

Xue Zhan stood in the doorway looking at a man inside the room meditating.

"What happened to that goddamn demon? Why is he so gloomy and his killer's air is getting stronger? Even when encountering an enemy of the level of the Ghost Jade Tower he never gave off such a hateful aura," Xue Zhan murmured.

What he had seen since made his head continue to spin, was Lin Yu Mei and her family. Then his friends, this time ... Someone who is very much respected.

Xue Zhan looked at the back of the man and his heart was like it was being pierced by a dagger. Rumor has it that the man was seriously injured and ended up killing himself in the Cursed River of the Eternal Valley. It felt like the news was simply not true, his master was not such a person.

He really missed his teacher like he had been separated for ten years. The one who first greeted him with a smile and gave him a good life, who else if not his teacher, Kang Jian. Now the man's face was as pale as a human statue.

There were several reasons why Kang Jian did not train him too often. The man always said he had a busy life, but in fact every night his teacher had enough free time.

But his time was up for deep breathing and recovery, and he could meditate for up to five days. Xue Zhan never dared to tease what the man was trying to hide.

If Kang Jian hid it it meant that he was not prepared for Xue Zhan to know about it, for two years Xue Zhan kept his mouth shut without ever discussing the illness. Instead Xue Zhan visited the library, studying the inner power scriptures and wind steps to accompany the development of his martial arts.

Sometimes Jiazhen Yan trained with her and helped her understand the techniques and moves that were passed down in the Eternal Valley college. Only in that way did Xue Zhan cover up his empty practice time.

In the past Xue Zhan would definitely not dare to enter his master's room and ask. He had been there for too long until he did not realize the figure of Kang Jian in his dream turned around and realized his presence.

"Zhan'er," call the man. "What are you doing there?"

"Teacher," Xue Zhan's voice turned back, looking at the man's face guiltily. He then walked to the place where Kang Jian sat and watched that face for a long time.

"I ..."

Xue Zhan was eager to ask about the illness, the incident and the fact that in the future he would die and his Master killed himself in the river. But the sentence was stuck at the end of his mouth and the young man asked another question.

"Am I a good student?"

Kang Jian was shocked and laughed. "You are the best student."

"Isn't it because I'm the only student the teacher has?" Seeing the laughter on Kang Jian's face slightly treated his sadness.

"Because you're the best, that's why I chose you."

Xue Zhan looked down, happy and also sad. "But I always let you down, get in trouble and even make you sacrifice your life for me. I'm a lousy student, keeping your good name just can't afford. I ... Even though I knew you had a disease I ignored it and didn't try to help you."

While Xue Zhan was lamenting his regret Kang Jian actually patted the young man's head gently, "I don't care what happens in the future and even how people think of you. To me you are the only great student, that will never change. Live well, with that my regrets pay off" said Kang Jian. Xue Zhan raised his face.

"Related? Mean Teacher? Master never said he ever had regrets, so what does that have to do with me? Guru-!"

Kang Jian faded into a grain of light, just as he was about to attract the man he was capable of capturing was just empty air. Xue Zhan shouted.

"Teacher!"

Hundreds of pieces of memory fell on top of a wooden box, completing each empty piece, flying in front of the now dumbfounded young man still clenching both hands.

Everything he saw was never in his mind. Starting from the death of Father and Mother Lin Yu Mei. Xue Zhan never asked further about how the two husbands and wives died, his grandfather only told him that before he died too.

Then her friends, Jiazhen Yan, have the same necklace she has. Xue Zhan had never seen more detail about the necklace her mother gave her. He ignored the little things and now that is precisely the most important thing he missed.

When Lin Yu Shan gave her mother's last relic box that she found when Xue Zhan was a baby, Xue Zhan had not been able to figure out all the truth. About the devil in him and something people say is sin. He was afraid that he was a monster and had no life expectancy with humans.

Own teacher ...

Xue Zhan stared at a single piece of memory with the reflection of Kang Jian's face floating above the air, he tried to grab the piece but it just went away from him.

"Teacher!"

As Xue Zhan chased after the piece his steps were restrained just like that. The piece flew up and carried it to a place that had an aura of power so fierce. His body was almost blown away by the strong wind, Xue Zhan was protecting the eyes with his arms trying to see what was in front of him.

He retreated for the sake of seeing something within that darkness and slowly began to capture a gigantic silhouette that reached nearly a hundred meters in height, had horns, and had horns, twelve spell papers were taped all over the body and bound by chains that locked onto the monstrous figure.

There were two spell seals that came apart along with the chains. When that figure opened his new eyes Xue Zhan could confirm that there was indeed something that had this size of a body and perched within his body. Knowing that both of his hands were cold instantly.

"You-" her mouth twitched, "Who are you?"

When he saw that pair of red eyes Xue Zhan was like looking at his own eyes, he tried to shake off all thoughts. The monster in front of him resembled a demon that if in the original world had a height that could match the clouds.

"Who else," said the demon deliberately detained.

Xue Zhan's eyes seemed to be in disbelief, how could he possibly believe that something as big and as powerful as this had been residing within his body since he was born? He felt his legs limp instantly and fell to his knees, unable to move a single finger item and it felt almost fainting due to the magnitude of the dominance of the force where it should be his vacuum. The space within his body that could only be seen by himself.

Is this what humans have been afraid of? He was always hated and feared. It used to be that Xue Zhan did not understand what made him different from the other children so much that people treated him so badly.

But now Xue Zhan understood what they had been afraid of. He was in disbelief, even though Ziran Zhao knew everything he was still merciful to let her live. Xue Zhan should have thanked Emperor Ziran a hundred times, but it was too late, the demon let out a voice that echoed throughout.

"I Am the Sin."
