Ch. 137 - Passing Four Seasons II
He turned around, Fenghuang looked surprised to hear that. He did not know completely the ins and outs of Xue Zhan. Yet Xiang Yi Bai knew, even things that Xue Zhan did not know about himself.
"I know I asked for too much ... But I want Master to get out of here. Get out of the regret that has plagued you for decades. The world above is terrible, but sometimes not so bad.. Just like when I first saw Master Xiang. I believe that good men still exist and I believe in that."
Fenghuang turned to look at Xiang Yi Bai. It turned out that during these few days Xue Zhan had always thought about it and made him often lose focus while training.

Although they always ended up arguing, Xiang Yi Bai refused and said he would stay there until the end of his life. Despite having to die protecting the Stone Ground, Xiang Yi Bai did not mind.
Because from the beginning, he was in the Gorge of Regret because of the stone.

"Fenghuang, I really love you!" Xue Zhan hugged the Phoenix all of a sudden, it was great that his friend defended. Fenghuang returned. "I also don't want to see you stay here, it's very sad. Come out and face your enemy like a true fighter."
Although it had only been a year of knowing Xiang Yi Bai and Fenghuang were very familiar, they often hunted and gathered cooking necessities together.
"It's not just me, my color-chicken can get a fever for not hearing a sound. Teacher, you're so charming that Fenghuang can't lose you."
Xiang Yi Bai pinned his student's head to the point of almost toppling over. "Stupid murid!" He again scolded Xue Zhan.
"I'm not going anywhere, it's my decision. Understood?" Xiang Yi Bai got up and left Fenghuang with Xue Zhan. The night slowly came down even though in that place it was like there was no difference, it was just that the air became cooler when night came.
Out of nowhere Xiang Yi Bai had gone, Xue Zhan had always been unsuccessful in persuading the man to come out of the Gorge of Regret. It was no wonder why the man could stay here for 20 years, it seemed that he already hated the world and its contents so much that it again felt painful.
Fenghuang sneered at him silently, "Talking to me you're brave. With your teacher not struggling. Ckck."
"Silence Fenghuang. Look at this face of mine, being sad," Xue Zhan's voice ragged.
"Face like a pinned rat as soon as you say sad. It's so ugly on your face. Disturbing the scenery alone, "push Fenghuang without a heart. Xue Zhan looked at him for a moment, rather than replying to his ridicule he was more interested in the one thing that had been bothering him since.
"Fenghuang," he called for a moment.

For quite a while Fenghuang only stayed silent without making a sound, only the sound of the wind enveloping the two. Xue Zhan tightened himself into the campfire and stuck his hand near the fire.

After a few minutes of Fenghuang speaking, the eyes of the two met for five seconds.

Fenghuang spread her wings and left from there just like that. Tonight Xue Zhan had already shattered their mood. Neither Xiang Yi Bai nor Fenghuang, nor even herself, they both had a difficult past to tell.
Xue Zhan could easily tell his past to them because he believed Xiang Yi Bai and Fenghuang were good.

Xue Zhan slowly turned to the little hut and found Xiang Yi Bai inside, just a little, but he could see that face. So calm when sleeping. He would definitely miss Xiang Yi Bai. The man did a lot for her. Save his life, treat him, make food, train and even take care of him while he is asleep.
Unknowingly tears were dripping down next to her cheeks.
Because no matter how parting will always be a painful thing no matter what form it takes.
