The Legend of the Devil

The Legend of the Devil
Ch. 88 - News Spreading II

Li Jia Xing sat on the throne with an arrogant attitude that was already attached to him, it was also the reason why the woman was so respected by everyone in the Feng Empire. The situation in the Feng Empire had started to improve lately, after the recent attack of the Red Taring that made hundreds of lives in the Ning River drift, he held a strict supervision accompanied by 24-hour guard to ensure the safety of its inhabitants.

As a result his actions received a lot of praise especially from important officials, as usual the woman always paid attention to the slightest thing. He is an exemplary Emperor. To him all of his society was his family although Li Jia Xing had never been reluctant to be cruel if he felt his rules had been broken.

As long as all goes according to her will, she will act like a winged angel. But once someone defies him, he will turn into an angel of death. Yet now the shock from Diqiu Empire was felt all the way to Feng Empire. It has drawn a lot of support, polemics and criticism.

The woman began to dizzy to face one by one the problems that came along plus the guests continued to arrive and she had to take care of one by one the endless affairs in the Feng Empire.

It was unexpected that they had an uninvited guest. It was not Li Jia Xing, precisely Xiao Rong who had currently been part of the Emperor bodyguard that Li Jia Xing had personally appointed. Apart from the defection he had committed last time, Li Jia Xing had given him the appropriate punishment and released him.

A rhinoceros-powered little girl whined endlessly, apparently the news had already been heard all the way to the Guang Empire. Xiao Rong flicked his robe and passed by without responding to the girl, for an hour he tried to open Xiao Rong's mouth but it was useless.

Li Jia Xing descended from the throne heading to where Lun Ning was left behind by Xiao Rong.

Lun Ning turned around to find Emperor Li was already behind him.

"Freely inviting him to talk, yesterday he was just a little bit indifferent. Now it has lost the ability to speak."

Lun Ning did not understand what the woman was saying, immediately perhaps she said, "I heard about the news of my rival's death from the Guang Empire's spies. When I got here on a fortuitous mission I got to know one of his close acquaintances. But he won't talk to me at all."

His head flexed in showing his concern, Li Jia Xing patted the girl's shoulder slowly.

"So, you're a close friend too?"

Lun Ning's eyes glazed over. "Truly Your Majesty, even I consider him my rival. The news of his death shocked me. I don't believe the rumors that are circulating and came here to confirm it directly" he said.

Li Jia Xing exhaled, "Huh ... I don't think about anything that happened there either. Not only him, his teacher was also rumored to have committed suicide. There are many strange things that have no common ground."

After that Li Jia Xing told Lun Ning to meet him shortly after finishing some of his work.

Li Jia Xing explained everything he knew to Lun Ning and it made Lun Ning just shut up. That fiery face looked gloomy unlike usual. Emperor Li was very familiar with the jolly girl because Lun Ning often visited for the sake of missions. Arguably the girl was the most reliable to handle missions outside of the Empire.

"I don't think it's her doing" Li Jia Xing's voice, he put his hands together on the table, seemed to be thinking out loud.

Lun Ning also assented inwardly, then Li Jia Xing elaborated.

"Then what are you going to do, Your Majesty?"

"This could possibly be a danger to the other three Empires. If Xue Zhan is just bait, I can guarantee this group of villains has foul intentions."

Emperor Li knew many things that other leaders did not know. Even when he was asleep he still had time to think about the problems around him.

Red Fangs would have been impossible to kill Xue Zhan, if it was the Ghost Jade Tower then this action had gone too far. Even too neat for middle-class criminals like them.

Several members of the Ghost Jade Tower who were found dead near the Emperor's Palace halfway house have been investigated and in fact the men are not from the Ghost Jade Tower itself. That shocking fact was followed by many other possibilities, Li Jia Xing thought there was a group of villains that might be as dangerous as the Red Fangs.

But his guess is still gray.

On the other hand the Thousand Flower Poison found in Yin Jiao's body came from the Guang Empire, it was already explained that the perpetrators of this crime most likely came from the Red Taring group which did originate from the Fire Nation, Guang Empire. The Ghost Jade Tower was a group of villains from the Feng Empire who had fallen after their chief chief was beheaded alive by the Six Lights of the Red Taring.

Lun Ning's head was smoky from thinking too hard, Li Jia Xing still did not stop talking and continued to explain all the possibilities from end to end. The head is larger than the shape of the head. After this Lun Ning would not dare to ask the woman again, she had a myriad of answers that if heard could be a day all night.

"But Your Majesty," interrupted Lun Ning to mess with Li Jia Xing's concentration. The woman raised her less happy face her speech was cut.

"I've heard of a small needle that can kill like a sting, just like the Thousand Flower Poison, that secret weapon came from the same place, the Guang Empire."

The expression on the woman's face changed. "Say more details."

Lun Ning was born in an Empire where they had a myriad of information and had a different way of life from the other three Empires. If one looked up at the sky and at first glance saw the shadow of a bird, they would call it a bird.

But they are different, they will explain where the bird came from, its reasons for migrating and its type down to the roots. Unable to be lied to, the people of the Guang Empire had astute wits and good martial skills.

"There was one spy of Emperor An who tried to find out about the identity of the owner of this Thousand Flower Poison, then His Majesty knew what happened?."

Li Jia Xing turned serious.

"The man died stripped naked and hung on a pillar of the Imperial Palace's courtyard. His face was shapeless, smashed. And on his forehead was scratched an incision with a message, 'DEAD'."
