The Legend of the Devil

The Legend of the Devil
Ch. 17 - Kang Jian's Residence

When it had almost reached the halfway house the sight of Xue Zhan's eyes glazed over, Jiazhen Yan who had been waiting caught that expression with a serious face.

"I just wanted to ask you about His Majesty's decision."

He seemed to be getting even more worried as Xue Zhan lowered his head.

"Oi, oi, explain. You cry because of what? What did Your Majesty say, what is your punishment?"

"I ..."

Xue Zhan was flooded with tears.

Jiazhen Yan started guessing, making her look slumped.

"You ..."

Kang Jian had seen it, Jiazhen Yan's eyes were also teary. The young man looked away for a moment. As seen in Kang Jian's eyes right now, the two gibbons were being dramatic themselves. He almost laughed. But because the atmosphere was supporting him he did not want to ruin it.

"When?" Jiazhen Yan said small. Kang Jian replied.

"Tomorrow. Xue Zhan will return to the palace and finish everything. Unfortunately ..." Slowly the man's face was very sad. He shook his head.

Jiazhen Yan was in disbelief, looking at Xue Zhan. "really? Isn't that too fast? Hey, that's right! Though ..."

His voice was stifled, Jiazhen Yan who usually looked nosy and ferocious was now filled with despair.

Xue Zhan nodded, his eyes still watering.

"What the teacher said was right. You better not come tomorrow."

Jiazhen Yan's eyes were wide open. In the dark of the night on the street, illuminated by the moonlight, the light of fire came out from both of his eyes. When Jiazhen Yan was angry the fire power within him would spiral out of control. Like this moment, his entire body was filled with the burning power of fire.

He pulled the collar of Xue Zhan's shirt, swooping a tight eyebrow. "You're telling me not to come?! I just wanted to burn down that one palace, only this time I had a friend and they wanted to kill him! I won't forgive anyone!"

Xue Zhan was stunned.

"Huh?" confused response.

Kang Jian looked away while keeping his mouth shut, still his voice sounded.

"Gd ... Haha, ah, release."

"What does this mean, explain!"

Some were injured but not the hands. Except for Jiazhen Yan's self-esteem. The young man swallowed his emotions, it seemed like there was a misunderstanding. Kang Jian meant that they would have to go see Emperor Ziran tomorrow to take care of some things. However Jiazhen Yan caught another.

"The good news is that Xue Zhan was acquitted of the sentence and passed in the Beginner Swordsman Exam." Kang Jian started counting in his heart. "Bad news ... There's one demon who's going berserk soon."

He pulled his student and ran away.

"Save yourself, Zhan'er! Haha!"

*

Two days later, it was Kang Jian who began to be irritated.

Since Xue Zhan did not have a permanent residence then he decided to have her stay at his house. Kang Jian himself did have a house that was quite spacious to use alone.

Each part of the room is filled with plants and some antiques, swords of various shapes are displayed on the walls. Pool with a stork statue in the front yard. There are various places to sit and relax. Sometimes maids come to clean the house, especially Kang Jian rarely lives there because of his duties and missions.

However, the big and quiet house is now like a chicken coop. There were only three people there. He, Xue Zhan, and Jiazhen Yan-who were happy to follow wherever they went. The servants were left waiting at the gate of Kang Jian's house. The young man with his waist, he would certainly not lose the debate.

"You are so primitive. Heh. Why are you on a mission if you don't get rewarded? Do you work willingly to help others? It's bullshit!" He issued a final ultimatum. "The purpose of working on a mission is to raise money, fool!"

"Money isn't everything!" suhut Xue Zhan did not accept.

"But everything needs money!"

"If you don't have money, it's like dying!"

Xue Zhan and Jiazhen Yan squinted at each other, Kang Jian to the point of imagining the rays in the eyes of the two noisy creatures. They were very noisy, even though Kang Jian intended to sleep because this week he only slept 3 hours per day.

Xue Zhan is a demon. Jiazhen Yan. They both fit perfectly. Suitable for pitted.

"Already, already. Don't be noisy!" For the first time Kang Jian raised his voice, Xue Zhan was startled. He just got too noisy. Xue Zhan apologized immediately.

"I'm sorry Master, it's disturbing your sleep."

Jiazhen Yan turned his body about to leave from the front room. But suddenly a cockroach ran to his feet, making the young man jump and shudder in horror. He jumped on the table, scattering all the glasses at once until the glass objects broke.

Hoopla happens. Xue Zhan was intending to get out of there, the cockroach followed him and he was instantly attacked by the fire that belonged to Jiazhen Yan.

"Get rid of that damn thing! Die there!"

Xue Zhan repressed emotions.

"What did you miss? The cockroach's in there, not me you're burning!"

Jiazhen Yan would not listen. Because again the cockroach came and began to flap its wings. Spontaneous flames on both of his hands smouldered heavily. Started burning the cloth, curtains and Kang Jian's house.

"Xue Zhan, catch it!" Jiazhen Yan threw something, Xue Zhan ran away. It's a charred cockroach carcass. He fended. Until the cockroach fell under Kang Jian's feet.

Kang Jian looked at the convulsing cockroach grimly. Inner says.

'I'm sure you're tired, right? Same with me too.'

After a few hours until the hot sun began to change the cold moon, only the three can return to rest after the incident this morning. One front room was burned and had to be repaired. The three gathered in the backyard, Kang Jian invited the two of them to celebrate the graduation of Xue Zhan and Jiazhen Yan by burning fish.

And it seemed, the Jiazhen clan's esteemed son was getting used to enjoying their food.

"What about your teacher? I heard that you were in trouble with him," asked Kang Jian to open the conversation. Jiazhen Yan rolled his eyes puffed.

"No matter. Want to die is also up to. There was nothing else he could teach me. No more use, like shit."

Xue Zhan patted him on the shoulder, "Hey, don't say that. Not okay. If he's trash, you're more trash."

Of course Xue Zhan instantly obtained a tell. It was dangerous to look for the young man, even though he intended to reverse Jiazhen Yan's words last time.

"I understand." Kang Jian pointed out, "I originally wanted to say this in privacy, but since Jiazhen Yan should know this then I will tell him now."

The man sighed.

"Xue Zhan, you are currently the target of Red Taring. One of the most dangerous groups. Not only in our Empire, but also in other Empires. For that, I want you to understand your position is not safe."

"I know very little about Dad's Red Fangs" Jiazhen Yan said. "They are from the Fire Nation. Wearing a red cross mask, the cross in the mask is a symbol that they have strayed from the path of truth. There are six higher-ups who are referred to as the Light Para. The six people were terrible. Even our Holy Swords are not necessarily capable of facing them all."

"But why me?"

Kang Jian replied.

"I hear these people have their own experimental places. And you must know your body is being targeted by a lot of people for bad things. If they manage to create something by utilizing your body part, it will definitely become a very serious problem."

Xue Zhan understood it. Without needing Kang Jian to explain. His grandfather also said the same thing before he died.

"I can't protect you forever, not even the Sacred Sword knows when they will attack us. There's only one way to handle this."

Kang Jian emphasized every word that came out of his mouth.

"Keep practicing and get stronger. Until the enemy can't touch you. In another year and a half, the Intermediate Swordsman Exam will begin. If you want to realize your desire to remove the bad notion of the devil, then this is your chance, you should pass the test."

Xue Zhan nodded steadily.

"I won't miss this exam, this time I will seriously train. Please guide him, Master."
