Ch. 50 - Preliminary Round II: Team Cooperation III
The Second Preliminary Round will be held for half a day exactly until the night comes therefore every team must remain cautious.
On the road Xue Zhan met some corpses that were torn apart by wolf stealth and they themselves had been chased by a flock of animals. Xiao Rong managed to accumulate 100 points and Xue Zhan himself 150 after seizing an egg secretly in the enemy headquarters with weak guard.
Afternoon soon after changing the gripping night in the forest, the sounds of crickets heard echoing repeatedly added to the terrible impression in the dark of the night.
Xue Zhan was lurking behind a large tree trunk after he had previously agreed to come towards a nearby light source where a headquarters tent stood alone by the river. The two men looked on guard alternately outside and inside.
"We just destroy it?" xue Zhan asked, Xiao Rong looked doubtful as the two enemies looked quite strong even one of them might already be twenty years old. There is a difference in ability between them.
"We should be safe, we have a total of 700 points at the moment. Don't let us both die and even cut points."
Xue Zhan turned his wrist and opened his eyes wide, surprised instead of playing. The information seal shows the number - 300 points. Then the number 700 changed to 400 points.
Not yet there the figure on Xue Zhan's wrist moved back. His writing showed a number - 100 and quickly 700 points were reduced to 300 points only.
It was a nightmare that made Xue Zhan's feet cold instantly, not knowing what happened at the headquarters but Xue Zhan started to guess two eggs were snatched and their nerkea headquarters were destroyed by the enemy. The guess that one of the strongest participants came to their headquarters was enough to answer the chaos.
Both Xue Zhan and Xiao Rong had gone so far away from the headquarters, returning there probably would not have had time since the duration was only an hour away. The two started to get frustrated, had already come this far running to collect points and everything just crumbled away.
Xiao Rong grumbled his teeth.
"Between Jiazhen Yan, Yun Mei or any other powerful swordsman who came, maybe a fight has happened there and then that fool Lun Ning accidentally destroyed the headquarters. Fuckin."
He kicked the leaves in annoyance. Xue Zhan tried to calm down in the situation, his eyes looking at the enemy headquarters they had intai.
"We stay focused on collecting points. This base is our next target."
Xiao Rong said it was impossible." Collecting points in an hour is not that easy. It took us six hours to collect 250 points. Returning 150 within an hour is impossible."

Xue Zhan's rising voice made the enemy almost aware of their presence. They both hide behind a dark tree.

"If they put two great men there then that means their eggs are also kept in that base ..."
Xiao Rong looked at Xue Zhan who was muttering very little.
"Thinking, thinking, thinking. What can I do for the 150 points I lost ..." He looked at the left quickly.
Xue Zhan concentrated on sharpening his hearing. Although only a little he could hear the sound from inside the headquarters tent. Two minutes confirmed that Xue Zhan heard such a faint breath.

He looked back and saw three bodies behind them.
"Getting ideas?" Xiao Rong asked curiously as he himself was dead-end.

Two participants over the age of 18 looked to the left right, their position is safe because they have collected 600 points for free after killing participants who desperately attacked the headquarters seen from some dead bodies in the forest.
In the darkness of the night a man appeared behind the bushes, not one but four at once.

Just at the same time the girl inside the tent moved, quietly crawling and away from the place carrying three eggs to a cave hideout near the headquarters, wait until two of his comrades manage to kill the enemy.
Xiao Rong played his finger, a black thread stuck to the bodies of the three corpses. He channeled power into the body of the corpse so that the enemy thought the three corpses were living humans. At least the first plan worked, they had scared off the opponent by tricking him into using a corpse and forcing the 'girl in the tent' out.
"Oh, it's just being alone, huh?"
The two participants realized it, looking annoyed at Xiao Rong who was smiling meaningfully while getting ready. He did not need to fight seriously and only needed to dodge while the enemy did not know their true plan. Giving time for Xue Zhan to perform the most important role.
The girl in the pink dress ran over the puddle and into the cave behind the waterfall. His breathing was in disarray, he leaned against the stone wall. Just as he gasped at the sight of someone standing in front of the cave, his entire body was covered in shadows so all that was visible was a black silhouette. The swiftness of the waterfall made the girl unable to hear her voice clearly.
"The enemy is gone. Go back to base."
Between hesitation and hesitation, the girl immediately complied because she was also afraid of being in a dark place.
His eyes widened and when the girl was intending to retreat the figure immediately moved quickly and left her alone.
"W-what was that? Am I hallucinating?" His breathing stopped for three seconds, he searched for three things hidden in a small bag and they had disappeared from him.
"No!" her screams were hysterical, fast enough that two of her team members realized and immediately chased to where the girl was running, just like the other, Xiao Rong breathed a sigh of relief from not needing to engage in a fight any further since Xue Zhan managed to do it in time
He turned to the information seal, a thin smile visible on both corners of his lips.
"Our plan worked."
Each egg wins 150 points. The seal paper in his hand showed a sizable number, 750. There's ten minutes left. Xiao Rong immediately searched for Xue Zhan to make sure the enemy did not chase him and keep the eggs safe until the end of the preliminary round was completed.
