They all made an emergency discussion after all the pirates left, but their rooms were destroyed, so they discussed outside.

Outside the submarine, on the beach where the temporary camp was built, Luffy had woken up, but his mental condition was unstable. He started to destroy things and shouted, he kept calling for Ace. Jinbe, and the few Amazon Lily girls who saw him were worried. Then Luffy runs off into the forest and Jinbe decides to follow him.

In the forest, Luffy cried while punching whatever was there. He kept telling himself that Ace wasn't dead and it was just a dream. He tried to convince himself, but it didn't work. Jinbe comes and tells Luffy that Ace is really dead, making Luffy cry even louder.

For a while, he was still crying and grieving. She still couldn't accept her brother's death, it was normal, but Luffy hurt himself by punching anything in there. It would not solve anything and would only make him suffer more than he had already experienced.

Jinbe told him to stop, and said his heart was weak. Jinbe also said that he doubted Luffy could become the Pirate King with a weak heart. Jinbe said that Luffy could do nothing about what happened and about Ace's actions to protect him.

Luffy refuses to listen and he tries to hit Jinbe. However his attacks were weak due to his unhealed body and unstable mental state. Jinbe easily dodged him and threw Luffy over his shoulder and slammed him to the ground. Luffy is stopped and Jinbe sits down, but then Luffy bites Jinbe's hand so he gets angry. Jinbe throws Luffy into a boulder and clamps him.

"You never doubted your strength, and believed you could do anything. But now when you lose your brother, you lose your confidence. It may be difficult now ... But you must silence that thought! Stop counting only the things you've lost! What is missing, lost! So ask yourself this: What is there .... that is still left for you?" - Jinbe
