CHAPTER 121: The New Sword

Time passed, and Jon still continued to destroy the bridge. He already had supplies for 3 weeks, so there was no problem with that. There were several WG agents who came in the first week. They seem to be checking the bridge and Jon catches them.

They arrive after a few hours and Jon goes to Kozaburo's house. Jon saw the old man sitting in front of his house drinking tea. There was also a box covered in black cloth beside it. It seems like he's been waiting for Jon to arrive today.

"Just in time, bad boy. I almost thought you wouldn't come today." - Kozaburo

Jon calls Kurama in his small form and Kozaburo is surprised. Jon gives Kozaburo the same explanation as how he explained it to RA. Kozaburo just nodded his head and seemed to think of something.

"All right, I've decided. You have a nine-tailed fox spirit, so there is a suitable name for that sword. I named it 'INARI'," - Kozaburo

Kozaburo opened the box and pointed his sword at Jon. Jon took it and pulled it from the sheath. This is based solely on the design of Ichigo's bankai, Tensa Zangetsu. The difference is shorter, straight instead of curved katana, the blade is silvery white instead of black, the handle is full black without red, and the tsuba is thinner with red tomoe at each end. Kozaburo picked up the sarong with the same design as Inari's. Jon grabbed and sheath Kusanagi with his new holster. The reason Jon has just replaced Kusanagi now is because he wants to have the exact same size, shape & weight as his new sword.

Jon then tied his two swords on his back like a deadpool. Kusanagi on the right, while Inari on the left. He tried to draw it and make a move. They were longer than normal ninjato, but felt very comfortable to use for Jon.

Jon talks a little with Kozaburo before he leaves. Jon also left a box of gifts for his grandfather, it was 3 different bottles of liquor that he and his friends collected on his journey. All the supplies are in Jon's inventory, so he can take anything. He would buy a new one to make up for it, but he gave Kozaburo the best 3 as a thank you for his sword.

Jon got back on the boat and they were gone. Jon is eager to try out his new sword at full power, and how it is paired with Kusanagi. They arrive at Tequila Wolf and Jon also gets a new supply for a month now. Then he ran to the bridge after they finished making preparations.

It's almost dark now, but darkness isn't a problem for Jon with his sharing. He stood on top of the sea, carrying Inari with both hands and draining the wind chakra on it. Then he swung it horizontally at full force towards the pillar of the bridge. He could cut a pair of pillars, and even reach the pillar behind and scratch it.

Jon then tries to cut the body of the bridge with the same attack, but he can only cut in half with wind chakra. He cut off the rest and saw his new sword.He was very sharp and supported his attack better than Kusanagi. It was indeed made for him, but his mastery of swordsmanship was still too low for his Great Grade Sword.

"Well, it's okay, actually I'm not focused on swordsmanship. I'm just practicing more now because I need the main weapon. But I will remain focused on ninjutsu, even my sword is a tool to support my ninjutsu." - Jon

Jon then tries out his twin swords with all the things he can do with the sword. Using a good sword that supports chakra flow greatly makes his work faster. After a few hours, Jon stopped and he slept to save energy. The next day, Jon resumed his work and used the wooden sword again. He continued to do so and in the 5th week of the mission, Jon increased his mastery of fire & lightning chakra to 90%.

They were the first affinity Jon got, so he wasn't surprised. He was more surprised why they did not reach 90% before the mastery of water. But when he thought of his focus on water & earth training, it was no surprise anymore.

By the 6th week, his land tenure reached 90%, but he still wanted to increase his wind mastery which was still at 87% before receiving the release of wood. His wind chakra would become his main force when using the sword. He eventually achieved wind mastery of up to 90% in the 7th week.

"Finally, Phew was hard work to do, I even shortened my sleep to train longer. I've already destroyed 3/4 of this bridge, and I want to destroy the rest with a wooden jutsu. System, receive the prize!" - Jon
