CHAPTER 32: Rainbow Mist

A few days after the Strawhats left the goat island, they were chased again by the Marines. They escaped quickly because the Marines were very persistent and many ships. But a few moments later something strange happened. The Marines actually shot at their own ship, possibly in an accident so they stopped and helped their comrades first. So Strawhats can escape easily.

After a few hours, they found an island and anchored on a rocky beach. They're pirates so if they can't dock at the port normally. They were all except Zoro who was sleeping out but then there was someone who seemed to be an officer of this island coming and telling them to pay taxes to docked their ship.

"Why do we have to pay taxes while we're anchored in this place? This is not a port." - Nami

"But you're still anchored on the island." - Officer A

"How much?" - Jon

"10,000 berri per person." - Officer A

Jon then paid taxes because it was cheap for them now. Although difficult, actually not cheap but now it's millions, so cheap. He chose to pay some money instead of creating unnecessary trouble. He knew the crew would eventually create trouble, so at least he wanted a peaceful start.

The officer left and the crew went their own way. Nami brings Sanji and Chopper to help her shop, Luffy runs off in search of a restaurant. Jon was about to leave for the usual investigation but suddenly there was an old man calling them and inquiring about the Rainbow Mist.

They went to a restaurant and met Luffy there. The old man ordered the food and told the shopkeeper that Usopp was the one who paid.

They were just silent, but then there was a sound of drums from outside and the whole community immediately spent their food and drinks. As the sound of the drums ended, a horde of officers led by a reddish-haired middle-aged man walked in. He began to levy taxes from whatever the citizens did, even someone who had only a little leftover of his drink needed to pay taxes.

Then he saw Luffy eating a large portion of spaghetti and asked him to pay taxes as well. Luffy just said that Usopp paid so his wallet was empty.

Then Henzo, Luffy, Usopp and Robin

Then Luffy, Jon, Usopp and Robin bring the Going Merry and approach the galeon while Zoro is still sleeping on the deck. They went inside and found nothing. They finally went to Henzo and asked about the ship.

Then Henzo's engine makes a strange noise and he comes out, followed by the crew. They see the Rainbow Fog in a distant place and Henzo wants to go there, but the galeon steering controller is damaged. So he took the Going Merry and used it without the crew's permission.

"WHAATTT" - Luffy and Usopp

Jon has a tick, he blinks and appears behind Henzo.

"Damn you ungrateful old man, how dare you steal our ship." - Jon

He hit Henzo's head and made him fall cute with a bump. Then Luffy, Usopp and Robin arrive so Henzo explains that the galeon controller is broken, so he uses Merry. Luffy let it go because he wanted to get into the Mist as well.

They went into the fog and saw many broken ships. Luffy became very excited about the adventure, while Usopp was very afraid of ghosts. Luffy and Usopp then went inside a ship and they found a box full of jewels. Jon was so happy to see this, he wanted to find all the treasures here. Money is never enough, he has started to be money-oriented like Nami.

Jon made a shadow clone to its limit now, 20 clones, because his chakra had not grown that much. 20 clones was his maximum number that could still be used for fighting, but the number was not that strong. He and his clones spread out to get every treasure on every ship, be it floating or sinking.

"Hehe, maybe I can use this jewelry and money when I propose to Vivi. After all she was a Princess, so it would require more money than a normal person. We also need money for our children later, hehehe." - Jon has a perverted expression.

Jon goes around with his clones, they get into every ship they find. Some of the clones even dived underwater and they found more treasures. This was a big result, he felt like winning the lottery, no, winning a lot of lotteries at once. Jon and his clone keep moving around, they also find a lot of documents, diaries, or charts but mostly if they're broken.

Jon finds Rokushiki's manual, it's a secret Marine technique. He opened the book but suddenly the book shattered and fell apart.

Jon blinked and appeared behind the man. He took the knife from him, then he pointed it back down the man's throat. He even pressed it so that the man could feel his sword.

"FA! Put that kid down, you pedophile! Then raise your hand! Don't try anything funny!" - Jon

The man was shocked and scared to feel a knife in his throat. He lowered the child obediently and then raised both his hands up. Jon then tied the man up tightly and got rid of him.

"What do you see?" - Jon

Jon raised his eyebrows towards his crew, Henzo and the children who had been staring at him ever since he arrived.

"Where are you going Jon? And do not appear so suddenly and shout like that!" - Nami

"Sigh, when you were a hostage with this pedophile here Nami, I was on a treasure hunt." - Jon

"Harta?!" - Nami

"What did you get?" - Zoro

Jon grinned then took the scroll and opened it. He made some signatures and took the stored items. A few boxes came out and Jon opened them. Each box is filled with jewelry to the brim and there are several different sizes. They all widened their eyes and Nami actually turned into Berri and melted in the treasure box.

"If that leaves you speechless then look at this!" - Jon

Jon took out another 6 scrolls and Nami instantly fainted while smiling while her eyes marked Berri. The others were also speechless, this man was busy searching for treasures as they tried to find a way out. And now when they know how to get out, this guy comes back at the right time. It seems like he has a sixth sense.

"By the way, where's Luffy?" - Jon

"Ah, that-" - Usopp

Suddenly, something big appeared and Wetton soldiers came out from there. Then there were two men wearing strange suits coming out from there as well.

"WETTON"
