CHAPTER 72: The Shadow that is Stolen

Jon, Franky and Robin return to the ship and find Luffy, Zoro and Sanji lying unconscious there. They meet Chopper, and Usopp on the way and even Brook. Then they realized that the three boys had no shadow.
"It looks like their shadow was stolen by Moria." - Jon
"Is that why they are unconscious?" - Usopp
"Perhaps, where is Nami too?" - Jon
"He's separated from us, but I think he's fine. The man who pursues him does not want to hurt him." - Usopp
"Huh? Why are you so sure?" - Jon
"Looks like he wants to make Nami his bride." - Usopp
"HUUHHH'S? Can he fulfill his need for money?" - Jon
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!" - Franky hit Jon's head
"I'm just kidding, you don't have to hit me. By the way, Nami's smart, she'll find a way out, but we'll have to hurry, and wake them up too." - Jon
Franky tries to bang their heads in order for them to wake up, but to no avail. Usopp had an idea but Jon stopped him. The others are confused but Jon just takes a few markers and shares them with them. They all understood it and smiled wickedly while giggling. After that, Usopp tried his idea to resuscitate them.
"A beautiful woman who has just arrived with tons of meat." - Usopp
"Swordman?" - Zoro
"Beautiful woman?" - Sanji
"Meats?" - Luffy
The three of them instantly woke up to hear their favorite words. This left the crew dumbfounded, but then they laughed out loud. The three looked confused and they looked at each other to ask. But then they also laugh when they see the face of their partner. Then they realized that they all had that funny picture.
"Alright, stop! We need to be serious now, the situation is a bit bad because the three of you lost your shadow. We can't get out of this place without getting your shadow back first. But first, I have to, .. pfftt, hahaha." - Jon
"JON, YOU, STOP LAUGHING AND FINISH YOUR SENTENCE!" - SANJI
Jon tried to talk seriously, but seeing their faces was really funny. Finally after he calmed down, he told them the information he had obtained.
"Alright, so right now, Moria has 3 subordinates who are still alive, not zombies, or we can call them generals. They are Dr. Hogback who made zombies from corpses, Absalom as an invisible human, and Perona who controls the ghost. He also had over 1000 zombies. It seems like he also has a very large zombie made from a paddle body." - Jon

Jon then tells them about the strength of the three generals and Sanji appears to be angry at hearing Absalom's power and hears him peeking at Nami while taking a bath. He was 'burned' out of jealousy, and he was literally on fire, literally. He wants to leave immediately, but Jon stops him to hear another explanation first or he will leave aimlessly.
Jon then tells them that the zombie's weakness is salt. He took all the salt he got from the castle and told them to split it. Brook looked surprised because he also knew about this weakness and was just about to tell them.
As they divide the salt, Brook also begins to tell them that he is actually a pirate from 50 years ago. He had a friend he had to meet in order to fulfill his promise, that was why he needed to take back his shadow. Then they all finished dividing their salt and even used their own salt supplies, just in case. They want to leave but Jon, Franky, and Usopp stop them.
"WAIT!" - Franky
"Now what?" - Zoro
"Hehehe, Franky, Usopp and I have made this special for all of you." - Jon
Jon then took out their new sea stone coated equipment. He gives Sanji shoes, and Zoro gloves, all of which have seastone lining. For devil fruit users, they have made special sea stone gloves. It has a thick and pliable material and uses only small sea stone ornaments in some places, not on all surfaces like Zoro. That's to avoid them touching it themselves.
Franky had also coated his hidden right fist with some sea stones. Usopp had made a layered grip of sea rock for his slingshot. Jon had made a long stick of sword from pure sea stone.
"Salt is effective for zombies, but it may also be seastone, so try it. But seastone is definitely effective for users of that ability. Be careful with them, they are very rare and valuable. I'll kill you if you lose them." - Jon
Jon says the last part with a threatening voice and a scary face. They all agree because they know Nami will support Jon in this case. So they would definitely be beaten if Nami knew they were losing.
They all moved to the castle and then decided to split up. Zoro and Franky will help Brook while the others will find Moria and her subordinates. Zoro and his partner take the bridge down while Jon & colleagues take the bridge over.
But then suddenly the oar fell from the sky and the upper bridge collapsed. Sanji and Usopp fall, Jon tries to save them but he also falls. Jon asks Luffy to leave first, and they will follow later.
Jon catches Usopp with a rope and lands safely, Sanji can land on his own. They meet with Zoro & co on the lower bridge, but they are worried about how to cross the bridge. The oars also stood up again and they panicked because of their large size, but they did not notice it at all. He even took the roof and used it like a hat and said it would be the king of pirates.
"O-oy, the creature says it wants to be the pirate king. Sounds familiar, right?" - Jon
"Yes, that's Luffy's word." - Zoro
They were worried and needed to defeat Moria quickly. But then they see Franky building a new one, surprising them. The quality is even better than the original. Now they can leave but Jon decides not to go with them.
"I'll follow Oars, Moria must have a way to control it well. Maybe it was because of Luffy's shadow a while ago, so it wasn't in complete control. I have to find his weakness first." - Jon
They all wanted to resist because it was very risky to fight him alone. But they knew Jon was right, leaving the paddle alone would be riskier. Before leaving, Jon remembers something and calls Usopp.
"Hmm?" - Usopp
"Give the man a mask, and he will show his true self." - Jon
Jon just left and everyone was confused, including Usopp himself. Jon then leaves them and follows the paddle. He sees her acting like Luffy but in a more stupid way.
'It seems to have Luffy's strong will, but not his mind and memory. I need to figure out how to cast his shadow. I'll try to throw salt in his mouth first.' - Jon
Jon tried to figure out a way to throw salt into the paddle mouth. He climbed up the castle and reached the height of the mouth, but the oars left instead.
"F* ck, why did he leave. I've climbed this high, damn it." - Jon
Jon then decides to follow Oars, but he doesn't need to run while Oars just walks. The paddle climbed up a tall building with very large wheels attached to it, and a large long chain.
'Is this a ship's steering wheel or something in that lane. What's this thing gonna do? Shit, who cares, I need to put salt in his body and cast his shadow.' - Jon
Jon followed the rowing climb but the oars rose quite quickly as they were very tall. This thing is taller than a giant, so the big steering wheel is not too high for that.
"Damn it, it's already up top, while I'm just about to get to the middle." - Jon
Suddenly the paddles pulled the chains that connected to the wheels. It caused the ship to change direction so suddenly and almost everyone there lost their balance. Luckily Jon managed to stick on the wheel support pole. But the oars fell.
"Motherf* cker, now he's down while I'm here. I'll kill the creature myself." - Jon is angry
Jon got off, of course ran, not jumped, he could die if he jumped this high. Then he chased the oar that was heading into the forest and stopped there. Jon doesn't know what's going on but it's his chance, but Jon's still unlucky. The paddles suddenly turned around and ran to the castle, passing Jon.
"Gosh, this thing runs wherever it wants like Luffy." - Jon
The oars crashed into the castle and went on a rampage in many places. Jon looks at the castle, destroying many places from afar and wishes his friends well. When he got there, all of his friends outside faced the paddle, except for Luffy.
"Oh Jon, what's going on? You look tired." - Zoro
"This thing just runs everywhere and can't stay in one place, like Luffy. I chased him to put salt in his body but I couldn't even get close. It makes me tired mentally, not physically." - Jon
"Well, that's Luffy, what do you expect." - Usopp
"It looks like Moria has controlled this and made him attack us." - Jon
"Then we must defeat this creature quickly." - Zoro
Zoro attacked the oar and now he already had three swords. Jon doesn't know where he got it from but it doesn't matter now. This thing needs to be defeated because it is very strong, and has a shadow of Luffy.
Zoro attacked the paddle and the paddle seemed to notice him, so he focused on Zoro. Jon moved to the other side silently and went back up the paddle. He climbed up quite quickly and reached the paddle hairs. Now he needed a good time to put salt in the paddle mouth.
'Wait, it doesn't have to be from the mouth right?' - Jon
Jon saw an open hole in Oars' upper right chest. He immediately ran there and entered the body of the paddle. His friends seemed to notice this but the paddles did not, as it was too focused against the crew.
Jon came in and it was very dark. He could not even see the hole where he had come from before. Usually he should be able to see the light coming out of the hole. But he also could not hear anything here, despite having to be outside noisy.
'Maybe shadows cover all the parts inside his body, so, light and sound can't go inside like isolation.' - Jon
Jon then activated his sharing and looked around. But he was surprised there was a wall underneath. He looked at her and saw Moria in an unhealthy state and the belly of the paddle opened like a curtain.
"What the hell, does he want to make it look like a robot? Well, who cares, I'll take his shadow and it won't be of any use. It seems Moria is also unaware of my presence here." - Jon
Just when Jon said that, he was suddenly attacked by something. He saw it and it was a shadow with the shape of Moria. Although it was dark, he could see its outer lines quite well. Then he heard Moria's voice.
"Shashashasha, do you think I can't feel anything in the shadows under my control? I don't know how you got in, but don't think about getting out." - Moria
"Heeh, and how will you do it?" - Jon
Suddenly Moria's real body appears behind her shadow and carries scissors.
"Teleportation? Can you move to your shadow place?" - Jon
"The shadow is me, and I am the shadow." - Moria
"So this is not teleportation, you become a shadow and move in the shadows." - Jon
"Good observation, but still useless, you will not win." - Moria
Suddenly Moria draws Jon's shadow, and Jon has a bad feeling about this. So he tried to attack Moria but Moria cut his shadow. Jon starts to faint but he does his last fight. He ordered the system to take all the salt out of the inventory without a bag, and then he fainted.
