CHAPTER 135: Leaving Fish-Man Island

The Fish-Man panicked after hearing Big Mom's men coming to pick up the candy. They had no candy left after their factory was destroyed and they used good candy in the banquet. Now they have no offerings and worry that Bog Mom will destroy their island.

They went out and the Straw Hats followed them because they were the ones eating the candy. They meet Baron Tamago, a long-legged tribe member in a half-egg suit, and Pekoms, a mink lion. They were somewhat famous among all of Big Mom's subordinates.

"Baron Tamago, we're very sorry, but we can't provide candy this month now." - Minister of The Left

"What are you saying-bon?"- Tamago

"There were some problems that happened yesterday." - Left Minister

The Left Minister tried to persuade Tamago & Pekoms about the candy. He said the plant had been destroyed and they would need 2 weeks to rebuild it. Tamago says they need him now, or Big Mom will destroy the island.

"You should know what would happen if Mama got angry-jour." - Tamago

"I-it.." - Left Minister.

"Ah sorry, I ate the candy. Very good." - Luffy smile

Luffy suddenly said that he was the one who ate the candy, surprising the Fishmen and Big Mom's men. Tamago later explained about Big Mom's protection deal for 10 tons of candy. Pekoms also apparently called someone and informed about the candy shortage.

Tamago tells them the consequences of not giving candy. The consequence was that Big Mom would unleash her Beast' to tear down this island. The Straw Hats became angry hearing this, they had just saved this place and Big Mom wanted to destroy it.

Suddenly the mushi denden rang, making Tamago & Pekom panic. Luffy picked up the phone and said who he was to the caller. It turns out Big Mom, and she demands candy. Luffy told her that he ate all the candy and she would get nothing, which made him very angry.

"I'll give you treasure in exchange for candy." - Luffy

"!! WHAT-" - Jon & Nami

Suddenly Tamago picks up the microphone and says to Big Mom that they should accept it. They have lost 2 ships after Kid destroyed them. But Jon did not take it well and swiped the microphone.

"Oi old grandma, this is Van D. Jono is talking. Hear that! You won't get anything from Fish-Man Island, nor will you get anything from us. You couldn't even protect this island yesterday, and we were the ones protecting it. Even so, you demand protection fees?

Don't make me laugh, old grandma! You need to work if you want to be appreciated. If you have any problems, then I'll gladly accept you. Your candy, your title, and your strength, mean nothing to me." - Jon

Jon threw the mic at Luffy with a serious expression.

"Sure, I'll come to the New World and kick your ass. I will defeat you and take Fish-Man Island as my territory. Just wait!" - Luffy

"You're a bratty brat. Tamago, Pekoms, come back! Your job is done." - Big Mom

"Yes, Mama" - Tamago & Pekoms

They hang up, and see Tamago & Pekoms off.

"Sorry old man Neptune, this is too rushed, but the old granny won't let it slide. He will definitely destroy this island if we don't." - Jon

"It's okay-jamon. But will you be fine after challenging the Emperor like that?" - Neptune

"We will fight it sooner or later, there is no need to fear." - Luffy

"He is right, if we are afraid of Yonkou, we will not be able to achieve our goals." - Zoro

Jon apologizes to Jinbe, as he knows that the Sun Pirates are under Big Mom now. Jinbe did not mind, as they could also cut ties with Big Mom's pirates. He had just joined Big Mom to protect Fish-Man Island after Whitebeard's death.

After the problem was solved, the Straw Hats agreed to go explore the island themselves. They were bullied earlier because of Hody's attack. Jon didn't walk around at all because he was at the palace the whole time.

Jon walked around Fish-Man Island and the citizens greeted him happily. Some children even asked him how they could become strong, so he had them train slowly, they also had to be open-minded. Jon knows that children are more open to new things than adults, so he teaches them some important things.

"Listen to children, do not judge people based on the words of others! Search for it yourself and find the truth behind it. Even when someone does something bad, there can be a reason behind it, and vice versa. Not everything you do see or hear is the truth." - Jon

"What do you mean?" - Boy A

"What do you think of me and my crew before?" - Jon

Jon gave some advice to the children, and some adults listened to him as well. Jon thought that at least he could make them less anxious and open-minded. It is not good if hatred and fear cover their hearts and views towards others.

Jon returns to Fish-Man Island and meets his friends. They will soon leave this place after preparing their supplies. The ship has also been lined up by Franky's acquaintance, Den who is Tom's brother. He was also a shipbuilder like Tom.

Then the Right Minister gave Nami a new log pose. It has 3 magnets instead of one like they have. This will allow them to choose a safe route in the New World as it leads to 3 different islands.

One of the magnets is moving unstable and that's a sign the island is dangerous. Nami, Usopp and Chopper were instantly frightened. They wanted to throw a log pose, but suddenly Luffy stuck out his neck and looked at the pose.

"Hmm? Let me see it!"- Luffy

"HII.." - Nami was afraid

"Oh no, he saw it!" - Usopp also felt horror in his heart

"The jiggling fragrance seems very attractive." - Luffy smiled excitedly

Luffy likes an unstable magnet and wants to follow it. Nami is angry and wants to choose a route. Luffy won't accept it because he's the captain. Usopp & Chopper pleaded with him to follow the navigator. What a funny sight to see.

"They should just give up." - Jon

"He won't change anything he decides." - Zoro

"Hehehe, it will be interesting." - Robin

The three give up on persuading Luffy and accept their fate. They even said that they were very excited to go on a dangerous journey and go to hell. They are desperate to show that they are not afraid.

Then they say goodbye, and Jinbe also says he will see them soon. They all also promised Shirahoshi that they would come and visit her again, so she should not cry anymore.

"OPEN SCREEN!" - Luffy

"AYE, AYE!" - All

"LET'S SAIL!" - Luffy

The Straw Hats finally sailed and left the Isle of Man.
