CHAPTER 29: What a 'Normal' Journey'

The crew kept sailing for a week and they still had not found the island. So they just do what they want and sometimes practice. Even Jon also became bored and only made his clones train while occasionally playing with others. There was no way he would practice and not play around when he had a useful jutsu called a shadow clone.

The next day they found a small island, but this was an uninhabited island. They found many fruits and Sanji said that these fruits could be their food supply for a few days. So Nami told the crew to collect the fruits and someone would guard the ship. They will decide to use a stick, and this makes Zoro protest because he rules them. Nami had a check mark and pointed towards Luffy who took the 4 sticks by himself.

"Normally the Captain will tell us what we have to do, but do you want him to tell you what to do?" - Nami

"" Nonono, it can't be "" - All

After a while they decided that Chopper would guard the ship while the others would look for supplies. Only Nami did not look for supplies because she wanted to draw a map of the island. They began to move around in search of supplies, and they decided to search with 2 teams. Just when they were about to be searched by 2 men's teams, Jon reminded them to bring their mushi denden and call if they needed anything, especially Zoro.

"Usopp, go with Zoro. We don't want to leave anyone here anyway. Zoro, if you are separated from Usopp, call him immediately and do not leave your place. Usopp, if you can't find him in 15 minutes call me and Nami as soon as possible." - Jon

"Roger" - Usopp saluted

"Huh? What do you mean Jon? I can go by myself just so you know" - Zoro

The others were flat-faced and ignored Zoro's statement, making him have a check mark. Then they go their own way, though, Jon made some clones first because they rarely landed on an island so he told the clones to train some C-rank earth jutsu because they were easier and faster to train. Jon stays with Luffy because he knows Luffy most likely won't

looking for food properly because he just wanted to explore. And he was right, Luffy just went through a lot of groceries because he just looked around to find something interesting.

Jon finds a lot of ingredients until his basket is full and he even fills Luffy's basket to the brim but Luffy doesn't realize it because he's still looking around. Jon still found a lot of materials and did not want to waste them so he used his inventory. Even if he filled the supplies to the brim, he knew that the food would run out in a few days because the crew's appetite was so high, including him.

If someone from the earth saw him eating that much, they would be dumbfounded and speechless since it was impossible for the stomach to be able to store that much food. But in this world, the logic of the volume of the stomach seemed to be dysfunctional and only the energy within the food was calculated. That's why he can replenish energy and chakra faster by eating.

After a few hours of 'finding food' on the island, they returned to the ship. Nothing important happened on the island. The island looks like a tropical island but all the plants are very new to Jon and also the crew do not know a part of it. Jon actually took a lot of pictures of plants and animals he had never seen that were basically all because this was a different world from earth. He also regretted not being able to photograph the dinosaurs in Little Garden. How cool it is to have pictures with real dinosaurs.

When they get to the ship, Jon is shocked to see Chopper getting closer to Robin. He was always cautious and a little scared before when he was near Robin.

"Maybe they chat and have fun together. Well, better now they don't look too far.' - Jon

It was late at night so they decided to make camp on the beach. Also they do not want to spend their time at sea every day, they miss the land so at least they will stay for one day. When everyone returns, Sanji starts cooking their meals. Nami is shocked to hear that Zoro is actually collecting food in his group with Usopp, but Jon is not surprised. Usopp must have been too afraid to forage, which is why he asked him to follow Zoro. The situation was similar to his team with Luffy.

They had a camping party that night, and luckily Jon found plenty of food supplies to provide for him. When it was time to sleep, Jon as usual called Vivi first and then he made camp using his old camping tool. He wanted to sleep on solid ground that would not sway like a ship. A truly peaceful day.

The next day they set sail again and it was the same as usual. They train a little, humiliating and scolded by Nami, a typical day for the crew. A few days later, Luffy, Usopp, Chopper, and Jon decide to race fishing. Usopp went first and he seemed to get a big fish, but he didn't. Luffy left next and after a while he actually got something big. It landed on the deck and made a loud sound alerting everyone

They saw it and it wasn't actually a fish. It's like a huge mushi denden that has tentacles. But a few moments later someone came out of his shell. He introduced himself and he was actually a salesman.

'What a strange company, selling in denden mushi' - Jon

His seller, Rice-Rice, began offering his products like a bad seller. All of his products were strange and seemed useless. But then Nami asked if she sold large, high-quality paper and she said she would pay whatever the price. To the surprise of the crew, who wouldn't?

"WHAT ELSE!?" - Luffy

"NAMI CHOSE TO SPEND MONEY?" - Usopp

"ARE WE IN A DREAM NOW?" - Jon

"FUND COLLECTOR'S NAME .." - Zoro

"READY TO PAY NO MATTER THE PRICE" - Luffy, Usopp, Jon and Zoro

"You're exaggerating" - Sanji

The seller then took out a large pack of paper and said it cost 48 million berries. Of course Nami would ask for a lower price even though she said she would pay whatever the price. So they start their bidding war, but it seems strange because the sellers easily lower the price a lot, so Jon has an idea.

"Oi Nami, do you really need to pay?" - Jon

"Hmm? What do you mean Jon?" Nami

"Yare-yare dazed, we pirates know. Why should we pay?" - Jon

Jon grinned while pointing at their flag. Zoro and Sanji also grinned as Luffy was confused. When the salesman saw the flag, he suddenly became afraid and ran away by riding his mushi denden, leaving behind all the items he had brought earlier. The crew was of course stunned to see this, even Jon. He only wanted to tease the man but his reaction was too overwhelming.

Robin said it was because Luffy became famous after Alabasta and it frightened the man. They didn't think much and started doing what they did before. They got some free items though useless, but free, who will release the free items?

the crew's noise. Sanji and Zoro get into a fight as usual while Luffy and Jon encourage them. So Nami came out and hit them as usual too.

Nami went back inside and the others started cleaning up the ship. They play around while cleaning up and of course bother Nami again. Nami is angry and says that the one who bothers her again will pay 100k of berri so they just keep quiet. They decide to sleep in order to be quiet but Chopper chooses to stay awake.

A few hours later Chopper saw a typhoon on the way of the ship, so he woke the others up but only Jon woke up. He is shocked to see the typhoon and goes to call Nami, but Chopper stops him because he has to pay 100k of berries. Jon just laughed and calmed him down. Jon calls Nami and he comes out, he is surprised to see a big typhoon and wakes the others up. They did what Nami said to avoid the typhoon and they were saved. So of course, they're having another party.

"What's Chopper?" - Jon

"I thought Nami would charge you 100k of berries" - Chopper

"Hahaha, of course not, he just said that so we won't bother him when he draws his map. If an emergency occurs and we need our navigator, how can he shut up and let it happen. Remember Chopper, true friendship is much higher than money. Even if Nami gets angry she won't hate us, so don't worry." - Jon

"Yes, but I was still angry with your interuption" - Nami smirked at Jon

"A-so?" - Jon was just a sweat droplet

"Hehehe" - Chopper

They continued the party until morning because they had gone to bed early. The next day, they entered into a very thick fog. The crew looked around to find a way out or danger, and moments later a ship appeared right in front of them. They avoided it but that

actually a Navy ship. They moved quietly but then they saw a child on the side of the Navy ship staring at the sky quietly.

The boy saw their ship and was surprised, then he fell off the ship so the crew helped him. The boy fainted so the crew took him in. After he wakes up Sanji gives him soup and he refuses because they are pirates. But moments later he ends up eating it, and asks Sanji to join the Marines instead of the ugly pirates with this bad ship.

"Who sucks, goddamn it?!" - Luffy

"What do you mean bad ship, hear this ship .." - Usopp

Usopp began to explain about the history of the ship and its village that was ignored by others. The boy's name is Tajio, he's an apprentice cook and he made a mistake earlier and spilled the curry they made for the Captain's conference in the area. So the chef told him to make curry again because he was the one who spilled it. But she is not confident, so Sanji lectures her and tells her own story, and she is disappointed in the boy who just gives up.

As Sanji was about to leave, the boy told him his dream of the same All Blue as Sanji. Eventually the crew decides to help her and Sanji will help her make curry. They left with Luffy extending his hand to fly to the Navy ship. When they left, Jon had an idea and left too. He asks Nami to call him if they are going to leave, he wants to gather intel on a Navy ship.

Jon ran on the water and slipped into the boat quietly. He sneaked past many marines and found space. He went inside the room one by one but found nothing that could give him any information. Then he finally found a room full of documents, but there were a few Marines there.

He goes out and kidnaps a Marine who seems to have quite a high rank and takes him down. Then, he turned into that Marine and entered the room. He starts reading and no one suspects him because he has a Marine identity card. He copied some important documents, but of course, there was no high-ranking information. It was unlikely that high ranking information would be stored on the ship. But he found many officers' names and some of their information.

He wanted to rob the ship but decided not to, or Tajio would be in trouble. He did not find any important info here so he decided to leave. When she wanted to leave, she saw a photo of Luffy and wanted to see it. But as he moved, his mushi denden ring was his. So he just left and answered the call, Nami told him that it was time to leave.

'Hmm, maybe it's just an old Luffy's gift poster.' - Jon

They left immediately after and nothing extraordinary happened until a few days later when it rained. They can't do anything when it rains. Luffy who had nothing to do at all became bored. He asks Usopp for something interesting so Usopp pulls out fireworks but Nami forbids him from being able to attract enemies.

Luffy became sad and asked Robin about the book he read and picked it up, he wanted to read it so the crew became very surprised. The sea is a mysterious place. But when Zoro came in and said he saw an island, Luffy immediately left his book.

They landed on the island and the island is actually going to hold a festival tonight. Usopp decided to ask for gunpowder from the fireworks crafters so he left. Others do their own business and enjoy the city after days at sea. Jon was as usual gathering information. But after a few hours he did not find anything useful as this was just an ordinary city.

But then he heard about the incident that killed the pair of fireworks craftsmen. So now only her parents and grandchildren are making fireworks. Jon decides to check on Usopp who went to the workshop. He hopes they don't launch dangerous fireworks, or Usopp will be killed.

When Jon got there, Usopp was talking to the old man. He actually had the idea to launch a big ass firework safely. Jon thought it was possible and safe, so he decided to stay hidden because this was Usopp's moment to shine. Maybe he'll get more motivation to keep Jon from ruining it. But he'll stay and help them if anything goes wrong.

A few days later the fireworks festival began. Fireworks look very beautiful and they are very numerous. According to Jon, it's like a new year's festival in the world. He only saw the scale of these fireworks on TV but now he saw it for himself.

'If Vivi were here, this would be perfect.' - Jon

After a while the fireworks ended, but then Usopp launched his own fireworks that looked sad compared to the previous fireworks. But it caught everyone's attention. Then the old man threw sparks into the big tower. Then huge fireworks are launched very high in the sky and,

* BBOOOOMMMMM *

* KACHAKACHAKACHA *

The huge butt fireworks exploded and covered the sky with an enormous spark for a moment. Everyone supported this and Jon was relieved there had been no incident. The crew lived in the city for almost half a year because it was a festival and they had money so of course they needed to enjoy it. It was a nice and normal trip for Jon.
