CHAPTER 74: Bartholomew Kuma

Jon widened his eyes as he looked at the man sitting on top of a huge rubble while talking to someone in the mushi denden.

"Kuma Bartholomew." - Jon

"Who is he?" - Sanji

"Other people, Bartholomew Kuma." - Jon

"SICHIBUKAI" - Crew

Suddenly Kuma appeared in front of Moria who was already unconscious. He slapped Moria's body and it suddenly disappeared. Everyone was very surprised by this, but then Kuma disappeared again, and he appeared in front of Luffy.

'I cannot see his movements at all even with my sharingan.' - Jon

Kuma cocked his arm and wanted to slap Luffy with his palm. The crew is worried by this, Jon blinks immediately and takes Luffy away. Zoro & Sanji directly attacked Kuma, but their attack was not successful at all. Kuma repelled their attacks with his palm.

Now they were all looking at his palm and it looked like an animal claw. Kuma said he had the devil fruit Nikyu nikyu no Mi, or Paw Paw fruit. His claws could deflect attacks.

"Fruit demon? Then how did he fend off Sanji's sea stone shoes?" - Usopp

"No, he hasn't touched his palm before. He pushes the air and drives Sanji away." - Jon

"The devil's eyes see Jon, your eyes can really see things." - Kuma

"Well, thank you, why are you at Moria Kuma's place?" - Jon

"That's a secret, but I have orders to kill all witnesses to Moria's defeat." - Kuma

"" SHIT! "" - Crew

Franky tries to attack Kuma but Kuma fends him off again. Suddenly Kuma swung his hand towards Franky and in an instant Franky was thrown and the rocks and people behind him were all attacked and destroyed as well. There are footprints in the path of destruction.

"DAD, HE USED THE AIR AT FAST SPEED TO ATTACK!" - Jon

Zoro tried to attack again but to no avail, Sanji also got the same result. Jon tries to use a clone of his father to tie Kuma up, but Kuma disappears before his shadow reaches him. Kuma appeared on Jon's right side and directly attacked with his claws. Jon immediately moved away and the ground he had been standing on before was instantly destroyed.

"He's a fighting type, different from Moria." - Jon

"ALL OF YOU, TAKE LUFFY & FRANKY AWAY FROM HERE! WE'LL REJECT HIM." - Zoro

Others understand the importance of Zoro's orders. They'll only be charging Zoro, Jon & Sanji here. So they took the injured away, but it seems like Kuma disagrees with their plan.

Kuma then raised his hand and opened it. His claws trembled slightly and they all heard a kind of sound that bounced. Jon looked at Kuma's hand and widened his eyes.

"EVERYONE GET TOGETHER!" - Jon

"NOW!" - Jon

They listen to Jon and gather in one place, including Sanji & Zoro. Jon immediately activated his Yin Seal again and made a hand seal. His friends ask Jon what happened and he just tells them to look over Kuma's hand.

"I-it .." - Nami

"He compressed so much air into a small size and if it was to be released." - Robin

"That would be a big bomb." - Jon

They were all shocked and panicked, but they did not understand why Jon asked them to gather, instead of running away.

"He knew we were going to try to run, so the bomb must have the power to reach us. Besides, did you forget he was able to move so fast earlier? If he suddenly moves in the middle of the crowd when we run, it will run out." - Jon

"I understand that, but why are you gathering us here?" - Nami

"To protect you guys of course." - Jon smiled

Jon had finished collecting enough chakra for his jutsu, and Kuma was also about to finish compressing the air.

"Give me Luffy the Straw Hat, and I'll spare you the rest of your life!" - Kuma

Suddenly Kuma spoke up and asked them to betray Luffy, for their answer to be clear.

Even the non-crew people resisted, this surprised Jon, but he liked it and smiled.

"It's a shame, now it's dead!" - Kuma

"Heeh, try it if you can! Doton: Earth Prison Dome." - Jon

Jon made a dome of earth big enough to protect everyone. When Jon finished making the earth dome, Kuma released his air bomb. He released it right in front of the dome. Jon poured a lot of his chakra into the dome to make it more durable.

The explosive force of the bomb is very high and Jon needs to repair the wall at high speed. Fortunately, the bomb was in front of him, where all the chakra was concentrated. So that he could repair the dome faster and the dome wall was more durable than ordinary earth walls.

Moments later, the effects of the explosion stopped and Jon was relieved. But he could see Kuma's chakra outside, and he was fine. Jon thought of something and then he made a clone. The clone then took control of the dome and he made a small hole for one man to get out of here. Jon immediately walks into Iubang and Zoro feels something is wrong.

"Oi Jon, where are you going?" - Zoro

"Hmm? I'm gonna beat that guy." - Jon

"OWN? ARE YOU CRAZY?" - SANJI

Jon smiled and looked at his friends.

"Nami, please tell Vivi that I'm sorry for acting reckless again. Zoro, only you can take command when Luffy leaves, you are the first pair. I'm not gonna die, and I'm gonna make sure you're all safe." - Jon

Jon got out and the wall closed. Zoro tried to cut the wall but repaired it again. They also try to attack Jon's clone, but he makes a wall to protect himself. The crew kept trying to open a hole in the wall that was constantly being repaired.

"SHIT, KEEP ATTACKING, THE CLONE WILL LOSE THE CHAKRA FASTER IF WE ATTACK CONTINUOUSLY!" - Zoro

The crew continued to attack the wall, and the people behind looked puzzled.

"Umm, he wants to save you, why do you even want to go out?" - Man A

""Because we're friends."" - Straw Hats

"We won't let him die again. He always held the front like Luffy to protect us and sacrifice himself. He knows someone is waiting for him to come home but always acts recklessly." - Nami

The people behind were touched by this and decided to help destroy the wall. Jon knew this was going to happen, that's why he supplied the clones with more chakra than usual.

Meanwhile outside, Jon confronts Kuma and he pulls out Kusanagi's sword and his seastone scepter.

"Bartholomew Kuma, I don't know why you are so obedient to the World Government. But even if you were Aokiji, I wouldn't let you touch my family before my eyes." - Jon

"Van D's. Jono, I've heard about your fight with Aokiji. If it could be considered a fight for you. Why don't you show me what you have, to fight an Admiral." - Kuma

Jon immediately used lightning mode and covered the sword in his right hand with a sharp wind chakra and a stick in his left hand with a fire chakra. The wind and fire supported each other like Naruto and Sasuke did, so he would give it a try. But he had to avoid Kuma's legs, so he had to move very quickly.

Jon blinked and appeared in front of Kuma, then swung his wand. Kuma reacted and swung his palm to attack Jon. Jon blinked again at Kuma's back and swung his sword now. Kuma suddenly disappears and Jon is hit and thrown. He crashed into Moria's castle and passed through many walls before stopping.

"\* Cough cough \*Fuck, that quick movement is very troublesome. His attacks are also very powerful." - Jon

"Of course, this is normal on the other side of the grand Line." - Kuma

Kuma suddenly appears in front of Jon and he attacks with his claws again. Jon immediately rolled over from his spot, and it was shattered. Then Jon widens his Kusanagi at a very fast pace, and Kuma is caught off guard. But Kuma could tilt his body and his sword only pierced Kuma's shoulder. Jon immediately swung it and slashed Kuma's shoulder.

Kusanagi Sword was extremely powerful even the extremely hard 3rd Enma Hokage could become sick after being attacked by it. Not to mention Jon used his wind chakra and made it sharper.

But instead of being happy, Jon was surprised. He saw some parts of Kuma's shoulder made of metal, but he still saw the flesh.

"You, are you a cyborg?" - Jon

"I'm the subject of a World Government experiment, PX-0." - Kuma

Then Kuma opened his mouth and a light appeared in it. His right eye also seemed to glow, then the light in his mouth shot towards Jon. Jon immediately moved because he felt something was wrong. Kuma kept firing laser beams at Jon, so Jon could only run.

"Damn it, the science of this world is too strange. They can have cyborgs with laser light but the ship is still from wood. Shit, how can I beat this thing? Cyborg with a powerful pirate as her base is a fucking con man." - Jon

"Leave alone 'Devil's eyes, you can't win against me." - Kuma

"Rush up? I can lose but I can't give up." - Jon

Jon then blinked many times and appeared far away on Kuma's right side. He directed Kusanagi to Kuma and stretched out. Kuma did not dodge, but he placed his foot in front of Kusanagi. Then the Kusanagi got back up and Jon was also thrown. But Kuma's leg got a scratch from Jon's wind chakra.

Kuma watched him and he smiled, then he appeared behind Jon who was still flying and slammed Jon to the ground with his feet. Jon gets a full load and coughs up blood before he falls. Kuma used a much stronger attack than before and Jon took it directly with his body.

Kuma attacked Jon's body directly pushing the air to attack him. He got some internal damage and some of his bones were fractured and broken. Then Kuma placed his palm on Jon's body, and he suddenly felt his energy instantly dissipate as a blue-footed balloon appeared.

Kuma can draw most of Jon's chakra energy from the body using the power of his claws. Jon could only see Kuma who had already turned around and did not see him. He saw Kuma looking at the dome and he slammed both his legs and planted it into the ground.

"Damn, KUMA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? I'M STILL ALIVE, COME HERE AND FIGHT ME!" - Jon

Kuma ignored Jon screaming and trying to move his body but failed. Jon had no energy left to move his body, and his body was severely injured as well. Suddenly Jon sees Kuma moving his hand and bounces the air rapidly towards the dome. Jon can now only hope the clone has enough chakra to hold it.

Inside the dome, Jon's clone still survives and repairs the dome from the crew's attack. Luffy & Franky are still unconscious, their damage is considerable. Suddenly, the clones open the walls that surround it, making Zoro and Sanji immediately try to attack him.

"WAIT! SOMETHING HAPPENED!" - Clone

Zoro & Sanji stopped and then they felt the dome shake. The clones tell them that Kuma attacked the dome and Jon has been defeated but he is still alive and conscious or the clone will be gone. The clone told them to move away from the wall where Kuma attacked, and the clone moved closer so that the chakra supply would be higher.

The clones opened a large hole in the back and everyone came out and crouched down, some even lying on the ground. Some time later, the clone is erased due to the exhaustion of chakra. He had repaired the damage from the crew and now from Kuma's attack. So his chakra ran out very quickly. Jon gets a memory from the clone and sees the dome break.

"F*CK!" - Jon
