Chapter 139: The Alliance

Law suddenly asks Luffy to make an alliance between the Straw Hat Pirates' crew and the Heart Pirates.

"In the New World, the great pirates had their own territory. The greatest of them were the Four Emperors. To survive in this sea, the pirate crew has 2 choices. Either join one of the Emperors or defeat them. I assume that you are not someone who wants to submit to others." - Law

"Yes, I want to be the captain of my own crew." - Luffy

"That's why I'm offering you to make an alliance with me. I have a plan to defeat the Emperor, and I have the key to it." - Law

"Who's your target?" - Jon

"The Strongest Being, King of the Beasts, Kaido." - Law

"KAIDO?" - Straw Hat

"Kaido right? Aren't you aiming too high?" - Jon

"It can be seen that way, but the Kaido crew are the most open about their business. Other emperors were more closed in on their business than him. More importantly, I have a key that can wreak havoc in the New World and it will affect Kaido more than anything else." - Law

"Hmm, so you have the key to provoking Kaido, but nothing else. I agree that his crew is not too secretive compared to other Emperors, but that doesn't mean we can fight them more easily than any other Emperor." - Jon

"Yes, but we can cut off their power source. We can make them stop being stronger." - Law

Others tried to persuade Luffy to refuse, but he only said that he believed in those who trained for 2 years. These compliments make them fly up into the sky, and make Jon sweat at them.

"Then, we are now allies of the Heart Pirates." - Luffy

"YOSHA, Emperor or not, leave it to this Usopp-sama! If Zoro & Sanji are afraid, I'll put them in their place." - Usopp

"That's right, that's right." - Chopper

"Huh, whatever, I have no problem and I'm ready for any problem in the future. But Law, are you sure about this?" - Jon

"What do you mean?" - Law

"Just tell you, but Luffy's alliance definition must be different from yours." - Jon

"Huh?" - Law

"Luffy, do you know the meaning of the alliance?" - Robin

"That means we're friends, right?" - Luffy

Jon sees Law sweating coldly on his face. It seemed like he was beginning to regret his choice to become an alliance partner. Well, it seems like he has no choice now. The only thing he could ask was the Straw Hats, as other crews had made alliances, joined the Emperor, or their locations were unknown.

"I hope you have strengthened your heart for the future." - Jon

Jon said nothing more and just patted Law on the shoulder. Then Jon went to check on the children who were still sleeping. The others talk to Law about Luffy's thoughts, making Law sweat more.

Some time later, Law returns Franky & Chopper to their bodies. Nami is in Sanji's body because his body is not here. Then Law & Chopper went to check on the children's medicine and make the medicine.

Before leaving, Law asks Luffy to kidnap Caesar. He needed Caesar alive for their plan after this. Luffy had no problem and agreed. Luffy, Robin & Franky go to kidnap Caesar, while Jon, Usopp & Nami will live with the children.

Law also explains that Caesar was a user of the devil fruit. He is a logia, he eats Gas Fruit, so only Haki users can fight him. Jon gave Franky a cloth with a sea stone ornament. He tied it to Franky's finger so he could help with the fight. Then they all leave Jon, Usopp, Nami & the kids.

"Are you sure you didn't go with Luffy?" - Nami

"Are you sure you can protect these children if some people attack again?" - Jon

Jon answered with a question, so Usopp & Nami shook their heads. If they are alone when someone attacks, they are not sure they can protect children and themselves. With Jon here, they won't worry about anything.

Jon was observing the children, when he remembered that he had not contacted his Zetsu spy. He asks #1 about the situation, and it seems that Zetsu has yet to cover the entire island. Jon then asks them to get every detail of Caesar's experiment and copy it.

"Do you want to use the data, Boss?" -Zetsu #1

"Of course, it could be useful for the future, but it's also dangerous data. Weapons can be a lifesaver for one's life, but also a nightmare for others. Besides, it's just my hobby to gather information." - Jon

"I understand, then we will focus on finding the data." - Zetsu #1

Zetsu #1 goes and gives Jon's orders to the other Zetsu who have spread. Now Jon just has to wait for them to get the data. If he can't use it, maybe RA can use it.

Some time later, the children began to wake up. Jon observes them and they don't ask for candy anymore. It's effective and they won't want candy now. But this was only an illusion that he gave their minds, so they still needed an actual medicine.

"Usopp, put them to sleep again! Even if they are under my genjutsu, but their minds are unstable. They can suddenly explode, and it is better to get them to sleep. They also need rest." - Jon

"Shurorororo, I've come to take those kids back. It seems like you have put them to sleep, but that will not solve their problems. Now, give the children back!" - Caesar

"Try!" -Jon

"Luffy defeated?!" - Usopp

"Quiet down! It's Luffy, he won't lose easily, it's definitely a trick or Luffy underestimating this gas bastard. I have to give him a little thought later." - Jon

"Hmph, very stubborn. All right, I'll show you what I can do by beating you." - Caesar

"Sir, will you save these children?" - Brownbeard

'So he can manipulate gas, even choose a different type of gas to manipulate.' - Jon

Jon blinked and appeared right in front of Caesar. Caesar is shocked, but Jon is not a playful Luffy. Jon punches and kicks Caesar with Haki's arms and legs covered.

Caesar turned his body into gas and tried to escape. Jon uses only the geppo to maneuver in the air and chase Caesar. Caesar is upset and removes all the gas around Jon.

Jon chokes and can't breathe, but his brain is still working fast. Jon drew Kusanagi and stretched him towards Caesar. He does not use chakra because he is short on time. Fortunately, his attack caused Caesar to lose concentration and oxygen again.

Jon breathed in the air and looked at the others. They're fine, and don't look oxygen deficient right now. So Jon realized that the range of his previous attacks was short. Caesareans also require high concentrations to expel oxygen around them.

Jon grinned and drew Inari as well, then he flowed chakra and lightning hoaxes on both his swords. Then he blinked at Caesar while holding his breath. Caesar was shocked when Jon suddenly appeared right in front of him.

"Feel pain!" - Jon

Jon stabs Kusanagi & Inari at Caesar's feet, injuring the scientist. The lightning chakra shocked him, and Jon let him feel it for a while. It was just a small punishment for what he did to the children.

Suddenly Caesar reached out his right hand, and there was a red plate and a blue plate. Caesar clapped his hands and an explosion occurred. Jon was shocked and he was blown away by the explosion.
