CHAPTER 97: The End of the Great War/End Part

The top of the building at Marineford began to collapse due to the great war. Even the land in Marineford started to become uneven. Blackbeard's pirates stay away from each other, and Teach asks everyone how he should start using his new powers. He answered himself, and said he would sink Marineford to the core.
Suddenly Sengoku appears in the form of Buddha and attacks Teach with his shock wave. The base could be rebuilt, but Marineford was the core of this world, and he could not allow it to be destroyed. Teach challenges him to protect her, and they fight.
On the other hand, Akainu still continued to chase after Luffy. Iva, Inazuma, and all the okamas are trying to stop him. They attacked with everything they had, but it did not affect Akainu's logia body at all. He kept moving forward and passed them.
"Jinbe, leave the Dragon son to me and I will spare your life!" - Akainu
"I refuse, I will protect Ace's brother even if I have to die." - Jinbe
Jinbe then tries to get into the sea, and wants to take advantage of being in the water because he is a fish-man. However, he realized that everything had frozen and become ice. Aokiji had frozen everything from afar in Marineford. He apologized to Jinbe, but no one could hear him because of their distance.
"Jinbe, move .. Akainu .. is behind us." - Jon
Jon said slowly with the last wish he had to stay sober. All of his clones had disappeared by now, as he was unable to maintain his chakra flow anymore, so they were dispelled. But Jon kept his consciousness of his own accord. He could do nothing if he fainted.
Jinbe looked back and saw Akainu was right behind him. Jinbe tries to run, but Akainu jumps up and tries to punch Jinbe into the ice. Jon activated his mangekyou forcefully and took the space he had saved earlier. Space appeared between them and Akainu, pushing the admiral backwards.
Akainu did not give up at all, she ran and jumped again. Jon wanted to make susano'o to protect them, but he was completely at the limit of his ability, and eventually fainted. Akainu punches Jinbe into the ice, and Jinbe is still trying to protect Luffy.
Akainu's punch pierced through Jinbe's body and attacked Luffy. Fortunately, Jinbe slightly tilted his body, so the attack did not stab Luffy, even though it left an X mark on Luffy's chest. Jon had lost his consciousness, he pushed himself too far and his body could not stand it anymore.
Now the three of them were in critical condition, and there was still Akainu coming at them. Akainu was just about to attack again, but then suddenly her body was halved by a blade of sand. Surprisingly, Crocodile decides to help them, and he says if the Whitebeard pirates want to protect Luffy, then do it right.
The crocodile makes a sandstorm that lifts Jinbe, Jon & Luffy into the sky. Akainu wanted to chase again, but the rest of Whitebeard's commanders stopped him. They would protect Ace's brother at all costs, making Akainu even more annoyed.
Jinbe kept hold of Jon & Luffy even though he was also seriously injured. A sandstorm blew them away and then someone caught them. It was actually Buggy who tried to escape by flying using his power. The escapees thought it was as Buggy wanted to save the three of them.
Buggy now had no choice but to help them, as not only the escapees saw him, but also the commanders. Buggy flew towards the sea and tried to find a ship that could be used to escape. Suddenly a yellow submarine appeared on the surface and someone came out.
"Who are you?" - Buggy
"I'm Trafalgar Law, bring them here, I'm a doctor!" - Law
"Huh? I don't know you, why should I trust you to take care of them?" - Buggy
"We don't have time, their condition is in the stage of criticism, and the enemy is still coming. Buruan!" - Law
The Marines started coming and shooting at the submarine. They assumed that Law was an accomplice and came to help. More marines came out of the hidden passageways from underground in Marineford, and they all tried to attack the fleeing pirates.
Despite all this damage at Marineford, Akainu only cares about chasing after Luffy. Buggy had thrown Jinbe, Jon & Luffy onto Law's ship, after Kizaru fired a beam at him. The commanders began to retreat after seeing Luffy, Jon & Jinbe were about to escape.
Akainu was still chasing after Luffy, and he was just focusing on her. When a nearby marine tried to help the wounded, he scolded her instead. He said that they did not have time to care for the injured, and only needed to focus on capturing the pirates. This surprised everyone, including Smoker & Tashigi.
Akainu wants to attack again, but suddenly a marine stops her. To his surprise is Koby, Luffy's friend who stopped Akainu. She stops Akainu not because she wants to save Luffy as her friend, but because she hears many 'votes' disappearing.
"Please stop, there is no point in continuing this war. It will only cause more casualties, be it
marines or pirates. The Marines have families waiting for them. The dead after this are just being wasted. We've achieved our goal in this war, haven't we?" - Koby
Of course Akainu wouldn't just say she understood and agreed. Akainu is a follower of Absolute Justice, where everything is allowed for Justice, even killing marines or civilians. He sent a punch to Koby, but suddenly a sword stopped Akainu's attack.
It was Yonkou 'Akagami' Shanks, who came and stopped Akainu's attack. The Marines were surprised to see him here. They knew the Akagami pirates were in conflict with another Yonkou crew, the Hundred Beasts pirates, just yesterday. But he was here, so they finished it in just one day.
Meanwhile, Kizaru wants to attack again, but is stopped by Benn Beckman of the Akagami pirates. It was strange to see Kizaru stopped, because Beckman only used a gun. Man can move as fast as light, but he chose to stop, showing Beckman's power.
Shanks calls Buggy and asks him to return the Straw Hats that fell from Luffy when Akainu attacked him earlier. Buggy rejects him, it looks like he's vengeful with Shanks, they're like Zoro & Sanji. If only their strength was equal, perhaps it would be much better.
After Shanks lured Buggy with the treasure map, the fool easily agreed. Buggy carries a hat and throws it at Law who orders his crew to prepare the submarine so they can escape. Law picks it up and they are finally ready to dive in and escape.
A moment after they dived for a moment, the sea began to freeze. Aokiji tries to stop the submarine by freezing the sea. Law orders his crew to dive faster and deeper. They keep diving
until the submarine's skeleton fills the water pressure almost breaks their submarine and they can't dive deeper. But the ice kept on approaching them, so they had no other choice.
Moments later the ice stopped coming, and they were relieved. But Law knows it's not the end, and remains vigilant. He was right, because a while later, the ice started to break. A ray of light came, and they tried to move their submarine and avoid the beam.
At Marineford, Kizaru stopped his attack after a while when the ice had broken completely and the sea was re-filled with water, then they could only give up for now. Akainu wasn't happy with this, but she couldn't do anything either.
Meanwhile, Buggy asks Shanks about the map, but the redhead says he doesn't have it. Buggy is very angry and they interrupt like siblings in a fight. This made Buggy's followers respect him more now. After a while, Shanks & Buggy stopped their banter, and Shanks' crew came along as he made a statement.
"I have come to end this war, if any of you still wish to continue, then come! We will be happy to accompany you. What are you going to do, Teach?" - Shanks
"Zehahaha, you look more handsome with a scar in those eyes, Akagami. Let's go, we've reached our destination!" - Blackbeard
The Blackbeard pirates retreated, and so did the Sichibukai. Mihawk retreated as soon as Shanks appeared, he agreed to fight the Whitebeard pirates, but Akagami was not their deal. The other Sichibukai also lowered their hands.
The marines don't want to accept Shanks' words just because he wants them. But Sengoku agrees with Shanks, and says he will accept responsibility for it. Shanks asked Marco and the other pirates to stop. Then he also wanted to take Whitebeard, Ace and the other pirates who fell to bury them properly. Sengoku agrees despite the marines' objections, and with this, Marineford's Great War ends.
