CHAPTER 141: Jon VS Vergo

Jon exits the underground tunnel and sees the Marines and their friends fighting. Then they all stopped and looked at him, making him feel like he had come at the wrong time.

"Uhh, hi?" - Jon said awkwardly

Everyone's conscious, and some marines are trying to attack Jon. Jon just kicked & punched them easily. Then the kids started to come out of the tunnel, and stop all the fights.

"Jon-yeah, was the explosion you?" - Law

"Yes and no, it's from Axolotl's big slime. I tried to destroy it, but it didn't go according to plan and exploded. Fortunately I was able to slightly reduce the force of the explosion." - Jon

"What is it really?" - Promise

"I don't know, it could be an Axolotl with a devil fruit, or a tool with a devil fruit. But all I know is that Caesar controls that thing. I heard him give orders to that thing before." - Jon

"No matter what it is, we have to get Caesar. We're going our separate ways, and you need to find Building R, Gate #66 (R66) to leave this lab." - Law

"Tashigi, you're in command now. Go to R66 with the others and catch the tanker there. Protect children!" -Smoker

Before they part ways, Law returns Nami & Sanji to their bodies. Luffy goes alone, Law goes with Robin to find the door, and Smoker goes to find someone named Vergo. Samurai, Kin'emon wants to save his son, so Zoro, Sanji, Brook, Usopp, and Brownbeard go with him.

Jon & Nami lives with the children, and the marines to search for the tanker. However, the sea warriors did not seem to accept working with pirates. They suddenly attack, so Jon tells Nami to retreat, and he makes a hand seal.

"Jutsu Imitation Shadow." - Jon

Jon's shadow moved forward and split into many branches. He caught all the marines and made them stop. Jon would not fight and act rudely in front of the children.

"Now, what should I do to you?" - Jon

Jon used his Conqueror's haki a little to intimidate them. He could control his Conqueror's haki just to intimidate his opponents.

"WAIT! I'll talk to them, so please don't do anything." - Tashigi

"Sure, but hurry." - Jon

Tashigi talks to them and says that they have other priorities. They need to save the kids and they need to work together. Holding onto their pride would not save anyone now.

Jon was a little surprised, it seemed like he was wrong about this girl. He may be grumpy, but he's more rational than he thinks. Or maybe he trusted the Straw Hats after what happened in Alabasta.

Jon releases the marines after they agree, and they go to R66. The Marines still felt bitter about this, but they understood Tashigi's intentions. They will suppress their hatred of pirates and cooperate.

After Jon let them go, they all moved to R66. Jon, Nami, Tashigi & the kids walk in front, while the soldiers walk in the back. They walked unhindered, but the tension was rather high.

Suddenly they are attacked by a dragon, though smaller than Jon had encountered before. This dragon is one that Zoro & co use to run from slime. It was sedated and asleep, but it suddenly woke up and attacked them.

The Marines tried to shoot him, but to no avail. The dragon scales were too formidable for their weapons. Jon took out his Inari and used it to attack the dragon with a sharp spear of chidori. It wounded the dragon, but did not kill it, then fled.

"Currently, he escaped. It can be sold at a high price, my luck is bad now." - Jon

"THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT." - Nami hit Jon on the head

"Ouch!? What the hell are you doing? I was just thinking of getting money for our crew." - Jon

"At least be grateful he could escape. You might be able to survive that thing, but the others aren't. If you fight that thing, the damage will not be small." - Nami

Jon thought about it and it was possible, because they were in an enclosed space. The dragon is large and has a high attack power, so it can cause great damage. The tough scales also make it necessary to use high-powered attacks, so that the resulting damage will be even greater.

Jon sighed and they continued on their way, but suddenly they saw someone in front of them. Jon stood guard, while the soldiers cheered. This man is Vice Admiral Vergo, and the marines think that he wants to help them.

Vergo & Smoker are vice admirals, but their powers are far apart. Jon could sense this, so he was on his guard. Even if they were going to cooperate, the Pirates & Marines were enemies. Moreover, he had a bad feeling about this person.

Some soldiers approached Vergo, but Tashigi told them to retreat. Everyone was confused, because they were on the same side as the marines. Suddenly, Vergo attacks the marines with his Shigan, shocking everyone there.

"He's not the Vice Admiral Vergo you know. From the beginning, he was a spy." - Tashigi

"WHAT?!"-Marinir

Tashigi moves to attack Vergo, but he can easily defend. Vergo was just about to counterattack Tashigi with his fists covered in haki, but Jon suddenly appeared and stopped his attack. Jon grabs Vergo's hand and kicks him back, so Vergo must release Tashigi and defend Jon's kick.

"Heeh, traitor, no mistake, you were never on their side, so you could be said to be a fraud." - Jon

"You.." - Tashigi.

"Go! Going with your men, they seem to be surprised by what happened. Nami, go with the kids and the marines! I'll keep this guy here, I hope he can give me a good fight." - Jon grinned

"Alright, be careful." - Nami

Tashigi talked to the marines about Vergo and they had to leave. Nami & the kids have to move first to a safe distance. Vergo wants to attack the marines, but Jon stops him.

Now Vergo is focused on Jon, and must defeat him first. Jon grinned and got into his fighting position unarmed. Jon knew this guy was strong, so he could fight as hard as he could.

"By helping Caesar, I assume you're working for the Joker. After all, they are business partners, and it is definitely you who made it out of prison." - Jon

Vergo just kept quiet, making Jon believe that his assumption was true. Jon knows about Caesar's relationship with the Joker, because RA has been watching them. So with Vergo here protecting Caesar, it's easy to know their relationship.

Jon is disadvantaged in close combat, as Vergo has more power and experience. Jon then took off his gravity clothes and felt much better. Now he had more speed and power to use. Then Jon also activated his lightning chakra mode.

"Piercing Hell: Nukite Four Fingers" - Jon

Jon's hand is covered with Haki and he uses a typical 3rd Raikage move. Now he had the confidence in his fingers to use this jutsu after he learned the weaponry. His fingers were strong enough to withstand the effects of punching & stabbing something hard.

Jon jumps forward and stabs Vergo with his right hand. Vergo survives by crossing his arms and covering them with haki. Then Jon swiped down diagonally with his left hand. Vergo covered his body with haki, and he did not get any damage.

Jon clicked his tongue on the toughness of Vergo's haki. Even his Hell Stab couldn't penetrate him easily, although it was still 4 fingers. Vergo also took off his clothes and covered his entire body with haki.

Jon then replaced Nukite with his left hand with honed wind chakra. He wanted to test which one was more effective to damage Vergo's haki. They continued their close combat and no one benefited.

Jon & Vergo exchanged punch after punch, and was injured. Jon also continued to shrink his finger down to 2 nukite fingers. Jon's wind nukite can hurt Vergo, but it's just an external wound. Nukite illumination, although it can slowly injure the internal organs of Vergo by electrocuting them.

Even so, Jon also gets injured due to Vergo's attack. His Sharingan allowed him to dodge many attacks, but when he was attacked, the power behind him was extremely strong, and gave him a lot of damage. Jon is faster, but Vergo is stronger.

Vergo then also began using his Rokushiki technique. But Jon knows it, too, so he knows how to defend against him. Jon also begins to use the Rokishiki technique to fight Vergo.

"!1? Rokushiki?" - Vergo

"Oh, looks like you want to talk, 'Bamboo Demon' Vergo. Where's your favorite bamboo?" - Jon

"It looks like I can't really fight you with my bare hands. You haven't even drawn your sword." - Vergo

Vergo went to the corner and took his bamboo stick. Looks like he didn't need it to defeat the marines before. Jon then also unsheathed his sword, and the two used haki armaments on their weapons.

"Bankai: Tensa Zangetsu!" - Jon

Vergo then moves in with Soru to attack Jon, and Jon defends with both of his swords. Vergo swung his bamboo staff, this was the technique that earned him his nickname, Demon Bamboo. Jon tried to hold on, but the power of this attack was completely in keeping with his name.

Jon slid to the side and let the bamboo attack hit the ground. It would be dangerous if he stubbornly accepted the attack directly. Now Jon knows he can't continue to take Vergo's attack. Although he wanted a direct fight but it was impossible now.

Jon relaxed his muscles and used his left ninjato with an inverted grip. He would use his speed and agility to gain an advantage. He will fight like he used to, his original fighting style.

Jon & Vergo moved, and Vergo swung his bamboo from above again. Jon fends him off with his left sword, then uses his right sword to attack Vergo. Jon spun in the air and sent out his kick as well.

Vergo tries to attack Jon again, but Jon moves with his speed and agility. Jon attacks Vergo from various angles, but Vergo can sense him with his Observation Haki. Jon kept attacking, and then he made a hand seal with one hand.

"Suiton: Jutsu Great Waterfall!" - Jon

Jon spewed out a large amount of whirlpools from his mouth. Vergo was hit, but his haki reduced the damage. Vergo sees Jon, and Jon crouches on the ground with his hands on it.

"Chidori Stream!" -Jon

Lightning currents spread out, and water spread everywhere like a short circuit. The wet Vergo is also electrocuted, and Jon continues to raise the power. When the lightning current stopped, the room was filled with fog.

Jon saw the fog and suddenly he jumped to the side. Vergo was still there, and he immediately attacked Jon. The durability of this person was indeed very high, but it seemed like the lightning current was providing great damage. There were traces of blood around his mouth, so his internal organs must have been damaged.

Jon & Vergo clashed again, and with the damage on his body, Vergo weakened slightly. Jon continued to press with his speed and agility. But he is careless and falls into Vergo's trap.

Jon makes 5 wooden clones, then activates
