CHAPTER 18: The Battle of Alabasta

They arrive at Rainbase and decide to get information about Crocodile's whereabouts. But the city was a Crocodile base, so the city was filled with its people. Some time later the crew learned that Crocodile was at the biggest casino, so they went there. Jon's clone knows the crew can handle themselves so he decides to infiltrate somewhere and steal a fortune from the casino, and for some reason, Sanji & Chopper also doesn't follow the crew.

When Jon's clone is looking for information and money. The crew fell into a prison made of sea stones prepared by Crocodile as they followed some obvious signs of a trap. Even Smoker is stuck with them for chasing the crew blindly. Some time later Crocodile comes along and he starts his narrative and tells his plans like a dumb criminal. He will attack Alubarna along with the rebels he has manipulated. But Luffy can't stay silent and tells the crocodile that Jon & Vivi has solved the rebel problem, getting him a blow from Nami and Usopp. This revelation made the Crocodile surprised but he started laughing.

"KA-KA-KA-KA-KA, so what if the rebels stop their rebellion. I still have 2000 agents consisting of 200 Billion and 1800 Millions. There are numbers too. Just because rebels and kingdoms join together, doesn't mean

Then Crocodile showed them the keys to the prison and gave them to a Bananagator, and left. After he left, water began to fill the room, panicking the crew for not being able to get out. Fortunately, Jon's clone has saved all the money somewhere. He can't use the system because he's just a clone, and he doesn't carry a storage scroll so he hides it somewhere, and the real Jon can pick it up later. On the way to Alubarna they found a large crab and used it to move faster.

Suddenly a golden hook flew towards them. Luffy knew it was Crocodile and probably wanted to let them off guard, so he caught it and used it to fly towards the crocodile. Jon's clone decides to disperse, but the crew stops him and tells him about what Crocodile said. Jon's clone found out about the agent when he moved to town, but he didn't know about the bomb so he was relieved. Crocodile was stupid enough to tell them his plan. When the crew finishes delivering everything, the clone disappears and the information is transferred to Jon.

~ Alubarna ~

Jon tells the others about every piece of information he gets from his clone. They were surprised by Crocodile's plan but they were more curious how Jon got his information, so he explained about his clone. Then they made a quick plan and decided to close the city gates and evacuate the citizens to a safe place first. As they evacuate, Jon heads to the evacuation site. He was responsible for inspecting the citizens if there were spies among them. The king did not want to risk his citizens being held hostage as they fought against the Baroque Works.

When the residents were evacuated, they were initially confused but after it was explained that there would be a war, they moved in haste. At the refuge, Jon makes 10 clones and stands at each registry. The evacuation was rather quick as they knew that the Baroque Job was coming soon. Jon finds several spies among the citizens and captures them. He interrogates them and finds that they are only monitoring the situation as the evacuation begins, and they follow the residents to not make them suspicious.

After being evacuated, she wanted to go look for the bomb, and Vivi also wanted to tag along. At first he refused because it would be dangerous, the bomb could suddenly explode. Vivi didn't back down so she gave up and let him do what he wanted, he just needed to protect her.
