CHAPTER 136: Punk Hazard

The Straw Hats left Fish-Man Island, and went to the New World. On their way to the surface, they do what they want. Nami takes a bath, with Chopper accompanying her. Sanji & Brook peek at Nami, but she electrocutes them. Jon makes a seal for Zoro and Sanji, and the rest decide to go fishing.

Jon was making a seal on a cloth that could be tied anywhere. Zoro & Sanji need to change clothes, so they can't always wear a seal. A piece of fabric is more flexible to wear and can be discarded at any time.

Who fished, caught the fish, and Luffy dropped it. But the fish attracts bigger fish, which attracts even bigger eels. So Zoro killed the eel, but it was too heavy and made the ship stop moving.

"Leave the fish! We can't move at all with him." - Nami

"EEEHH, but I want to eat it." - Luffy

"AS I SAID, WE CAN'T MOVE WI-"-NAMI

"Oi, what is it?" - Jon

Suddenly a whirlpool appeared in front of them. Nami says it's called White Storm, and it's actually trying to suck them up. The large eel was sucked in by him, and pulled the ship towards him as well.

They experienced a wild ride for some time, and then their ship crashed into something. They saw it and realized that it was an Island Whale. They looked around and found many Whale Islands there.

They come with a group of Island Whales, and Luffy mistakenly mistook him for Laboon. Brook cried and called out Laboon's name, but Usopp calmed him down. Laboon was on the other side of the world, so this Pope was kind.

Nami realizes it is still dangerous for the ship even though they have left the vortex. So they raised their sails to go with the current made by the whales. It's like a whale giving them a lift to reach the surface.

Brook began singing Bink's Sake and caught the pope's attention. The crew also grew excited and sang with Brooks. They looked at the surface and started counting down. When they finished counting, they finally reached the sea level of the New World.

Everyone looked around and saw the new sea they were about to explore. They are very excited and anticipate the new challenges that await them. This is the reason they trained for 2 years, The Final Sea: New World.

"THANK YOU WHALES, UNTIL YOU RETURN." - Luffy

"THANK YOU, LABOON'S FAMILY." -BROok

"Each whale is really as big as a small island." - Jon

"That is why they are called Island Whales." - Robin

"Yes, but this sea, isn't it too stormy here?" - Jon

They looked at the sky filled with thunder, and strong winds & waves. It suddenly rained, but then it stopped, and it started snowing. Just as they were excited to play with the snow, the snow stopped and a large chunk of ice fell. They were larger than bright, so the crew defended the ship by smashing ice cubes.

"Didn't this weather change happen too soon?" - Jon

"This is the New World, not to be called the Last Sea for no reason. Leave the navigation to me, I have learned a lot about the weather in these 2 years." - Nami

"As I thought about our navigator." - Usopp

They wade through a new ridiculous sea that looks like a moody boyfriend. The weather in Paradise will change after days or be determined by distance, but this place can almost change at any time. After a few hours, the weather calmed down.

"I hope this weather is only in this area." - Jon

"Well, at least it won't happen on the islands, or people won't live there." - Robin

"We don't know that, human adaptability is very strong." - Jon

"Hey, look, there's a volcano erupting there. Let's go there!" - Luffy

"Hmm? Strange, there is no log pose leading to it." - Nami

"Who cares, let's go!I" - Luffy

They went in the direction of the erupting volcano, as they were sure it would not change the log pose. There is no magnetic field there, so the log pose will not change.

"Oi, I've grilled meat." - Sanji

"MEATS? YAHOO." - Luffy

They all entered the kitchen and ate meat. Cold, and hot food & drink are very welcome. Suddenly, their mushi denden rang, and it was a distress signal. Robin warns them that it could be a trap from the Marine.

"Hmm, so the danger signal can be captured by the white denden mushi." - Nami

"Well, it's just counter eavesdropping by black denden mushi, and the distress signal is a call from normal denden mushi." - Jon

*kacha*

"Hello, this is Monkey D. Luffy, the man who will become the Pirate King." - Luffy

"OII, DON'T LIFT! AND YOU TALK TOO MUCH." - Usopp

"Do you need to use that introduction at all times?" - Jon sweatdrop

"That's how she is." - Promise

The call was from someone asking for help. He said their unit was being attacked by a samurai. They said they were in Punk Hazard, but the sentence was repeated. Robin said it was likely that a signal was being sent before the man was killed.

"What is a samurai?" - Zoro

"Samurai was the swordsman of the State of Wano. The country itself is closed off from the outside world, and they are not affiliated with the World Government." - Brook

"Wano right? I heard there were ninjas in the country. I want to see what they can do, maybe there are techniques I can learn." - Jon

Luffy decided to check the signal sender, which was most likely on the volcanic island. They sailed there and saw that the island was blocked by a wall of fire. It was hard to get inside, but Luffy insisted on going in. He would not let an adventure like this pass.

Nami then decides to use the lottery paper to choose who will go with Luffy. Jon will leave even if he doesn't get the lottery. He wanted to use his sharing, but others forbade it. Fortunately he succeeded and will go with Luffy, Zoro, Robin, and Usopp.

Sanji prepares food for them and they use the Mini Merry II. Nami then makes a milk path with the discretion******* her new magic. Jon marveled at how the clouds did not spread at this low altitude. They climbed the clouds and went to the burning island.

While going there, they ate their lunch box and it was very delicious. Sanji must have learned a lot about cooking in these 2 years. The food feels like it gives energy after consumption.

"So there's people who live here. They have to withstand the heat." - Jon

"Then, not 'was', but 'was'. There's no way people still live here. Ah, actually I have a disease 'Can't set foot on a new island'." - Usopp

"We know." - All

"Poor Usopp, you must have suffered in 2 years with your illness. I'm glad you're alive." - Jon

"You'll be better off after eating your lunchbox." - Robin

"I-it's okay, sigh." - Usopp

Usopp gave up and only accepted his fate of suffering. They reached the island and saw a large gate bearing the WG and Marine logos. Zoro cut him down, and they entered without permission. Usopp panicked and said they would incur the wrath of WG and Marine.

"We've done it many times, again not much different." - Jon

"I-it's true, but.." - Usopp.

They kept going despite Usopp's fear, and saw many buildings melt away. Robin concludes that this was a government base before it was destroyed. The area is very hot, so they need to change clothes. Jon, Zoro, & Luffy just took off their top clothes, while Robin changed, Usopp did nothing.

Usopp later commented on how the man on the distress signal said about the coldness of the island while it was very hot. Robin thinks that there may be a cold area on the island. Jon concluded that it might be on the other side or even in the middle. Grandline Island is so strange that it can have 2 different weathers at once.

As they walked, they found a large skull. It is bigger than a giant and must perish during the calamity that occurred here. His skull was still not completely burned, so the calamity must have happened not far in the past.

"Maybe it's a paddle." - Jon

"That's possible, I can't think of anything bigger than a giant other than Oars." - Robin

They heard something and turned to look at the shocking thing. They saw a red dragon behind them, and it was a western dragon. The dragon seemed to be talking and asking who they were. Without waiting for a response, the dragon attacked them with a fire breath attack.

"Curtain, breath attack!" - Jon

"Dodging!" - Luffy

They all jumped to the side and avoided the breath of fire. The attacks are powerful and will be bad if they are hit. Luffy tried to attack the dragon with gear 2, but the scale was very strong. The dragon attacks and makes Luffy fly, while Jon makes a hand seal.

"Doton: Rock Ground Shoot." - Jon

Four earth surges came out from 4 directions around the dragon. They hit the dragon, but they could not penetrate the hard scales. Jon clicked his tongue and saw Zoro also trying to attack. Zoro's attack was also unsuccessful, and the dragon instead attacked Zoro.

"It's not only tough, but also powerful." - Zoro

"Are you with the Sichibukai?" - Dragon

"Hey, it speaks." - Jon

It did not wait for another answer anymore and just attacked them. Jon was very upset with this dragon, he asked but did not wait for an answer. Jon had enough and saw a dragon flying above them.

Jon then flashes and uses a geppo to reach the dragon. It tried to attack him, but he could easily dodge with a geppo. Jon landed on the dragon's back before he grinned and made a hand seal.

"Doton: Extra Heavy Stone Jutsu." - Jon

The dragon suddenly gained weight. It hasn't fallen yet, so Jon adds to the weight again. Now it completely fell to the ground and the Straw Hats surrounded it. They all had evil grins and prepared their attacks. The dragon looked scared, but it would not change anything.

They ended up killing the dragon and strangely enough, they found someone stuck in its head. The man was left with his lower body outside. Luffy tried to pull her and when she came out, it was just the lower body without the upper side.

"OI LUFFY, YOU KILLED THAT GUY. YOU'RE TOO FAST WHEN YOU PULL IT." - Usopp panicked

"WAAHH, SORRY." - Luffy panicked as well

Just when they were frightened, the lower body suddenly stood up and spoke. Now they are more panicked because of this. The legs tried to attack them but it was useless.

"WOAH, THAT'S TALKING, COOL. Hey legs, join my crew." - Luffy

"STOP! STOP INVITING STRANGE THINGS TO OUR CREW." - Usopp

His legs ran and Luffy tried to chase after him. Others let it go on its own and started roasting the meat over the fire. It's very nice, and Jon kept the dragon carcass after dismantling it. After all, he could use materials for many things. Or at least he could sell it at a high price on the black market.

"BAHAHAHA, THIS IS THE JACKPOT." - JON

"That's it again." - Usopp

"The dragon's scales are hard, the bones must also be hard. Then the blood is said to be medicine. The heart is also a treasure, but the most valuable organs are the uvula and tonsils that create fire.The price is high on the black market." - Jon

Jon kept laughing like a poor merchant, when suddenly Luffy came back and surprised them. It wasn't Luffy's return that surprised them, but something stuck to his back. His legs were completely stuck to Luffy's back.

"Wait, what happens when you chase after her?" - Jon

"I don't know, I just hit him and it suddenly became like this. What do you call this." - Luffy

"Ce-centaurus?" - Usopp

"Yosh, I'm a centaurus now." - Luffy

Luffy looked very pleased as his lower body was attached to his back. Now he looks like a centaurus, and he's happy. This made everyone sigh and let Luffy do what he wanted.
