Chapter 12 Like Two Barbarians
Jiu Shen stepped into the wine cellar with a thin grin on his face. “Oh, right! The Deep Sea Spring Dew is still not ready today. Damnit!”
– Ding!
– Dew Sea Spring Dew is still prepared by the system. It'll be ready tomorrow, dear host. Please remain patient.
Jiu Shen rolled his eyes after hearing the serious sound of the system.
He then stretched his right arm. An invisible energy wrapped itself around the four bottles of wine, dragging it towards Jiu Shen. From another person's point of view, wine was suspended in the air while circling around Jiu Shen miraculously.
Even emperors did not have good control over true essence. He might be able to do it, but not as great as Jiu Shen.
Jiu Shen stepped out of the wine storage area with four wines circling around him. The fourth prince and the old man were astonished by the sight, but they remained silent.
The mercenaries were no longer surprised about it, but they still continued to glance at Jiu Shen with admiration and adoration.
“It's two orders for each wine. Give me a few minutes to prepare your dish. As for Deep Sea Spring Dew, it is currently not available, but it will be ready to be served tomorrow.” Jiu Shen waved his right hand gently. The four wines revolving around him floated towards the fourth prince and the old man's table. Jiu Shen also gave them two small cups. “Enjoy your wine while waiting for the meal. As soon as you take a sip of the first wine, you will realize why it is so expensive.”
Jiu Shen turned around after he spoke. He then went into the kitchen with steady steps.
The fourth prince and the old man glanced at the figure of his back and then towards the wine on the table. “Your Majesty, I will open it for you.”
“Thank you, Defender Duanmu.” The fourth prince cupped his fists in gratitude. If not for the old man, he would have been punished by Jiu Shen. He was also touched by the old man's loyalty and concern for him.
“Anything for you, Your Grace. Make sure to no longer provoke the owner of this store. I have a feeling that he is even stronger than His Majesty.” Defender Duanmu said solemnly while glancing towards the kitchen.
The fourth prince furrowed his brows and nodded his head. He also felt the strength of the man himself. If not for him being lenient, he would have died for disrespecting him.
Defender Duanmu opened one Mystic Jade and he was instantly attacked by the scent of the fruit which made him close his eyes in enjoyment. “Good egg!” He poured a cup for the fourth prince and himself.
The fourth prince also inhaled a refreshing scent, making his eyes sparkle. He put a small cup on his lips and took a light sip. “Lezat! So that was why.This Purple Blood Ginseng alone was already a precious herb. I even feel embarrassed if I only pay 1 True Crystal for such wine..”.
The market price for a single Purple Blood Ginseng was a hundred Gold Coins, but some were also sold for several hundred Gold Coins depending on their age.
After tasting the wine, the hint of displeasure in their hearts was no longer there. Only shame and regret remained.
A few minutes later, Jiu Shen came out of the kitchen with two hot plates floating in front of him. A fragrant aroma wafted towards everyone, making them drool. Even the fourth prince and the old defender did not escape. They glanced at the plate with great expectations.
“Two orders Tempura Fried Overlord Shrimp Dipped to Viper Magma Chilli. Enjoy.” Jiu Shen said calmly. He then gently placed the two dishes on the table.
The fourth prince and the old man stared at the exquisite dish in front of them with glittering eyes.
The fourth prince elegantly grabbed the fork and pierced through one crescent-shaped tempura. The fork pierced through the delicious shrimp meat unhindered. A little shrimp oil drips, resulting in a stronger shrimp aroma.
The fourth prince no longer hesitated. He placed the crescent-shaped shrimp tempura in his mouth and bit it gently.
“Crunch! Crunches! Crunch!”
“This ...” The eyes of the fourth prince became wet and he felt as if he was swimming naked in the vast Heavenly Wind Sea.
“Tower Sir! This is the Master Shrimp, a 5th rank Spirit level creature! So that's why it costs 100 True Crystals... No wonder!” The fourth prince exclaimed after taking the first bite. This was not the first time he had tasted meat from the Overlord Shrimp, but all the Overlord Shrimp dishes he had tasted before could be considered as trash compared to the dishes in front of him. ‘This is a true gourmet dish! What imperial chef?! Their dishes could not even compare to the Wine Master Jiu dish!’
The fourth prince's elegant demeanor was no longer there. He threw out a fork and grabbed the crescent-shaped tempura by hand. He then put it in his mouth while ignoring the strange gazes of everyone around him. “Truly delicious!” The fourth prince's lips were filled with shrimp oil, but he ignored his current appearance and focused on his food.
Defender Duanmu was stunned after seeing the change in the attitude of the fourth prince in less than a few seconds. He could not help but glance at the dish in front of him. He then took out one crescent-shaped shrimp tempura and bit it small which produced a faint rattling sound.
“It... It...”.
Moments later, two men, one young and one old were eating their food like two barbarians eating meat for the first time in their lives. A look of satisfaction was seen on the faces of the two.
Jiu Shen glanced at them and grinned. He then continued stroking the Ice feather with a calm expression on his face.
