Chapter 143 Cold Rejection
Jiu Shen descended with Lu Sulan following behind him. The latter was looking at his master's back with a red-red face as his expression alternated between shame and excitement. When Jiu Shen held her hand just a moment ago, she felt like she was walking on a field of flowers and greenery, making her heartbeat even stronger.
As for Jiu Shen, he was unaware of his student's thoughts because his mind was occupied by something else. He was confident that he could persuade the elders of the Ice Cloud Sword Sect to accept his proposal, so he did not worry in the slightest. And after he finished discussing with them, he planned to visit Green Cloud City and complete his mission to obtain the God Crystals and rewards from the system.
“Sulan, where are the elders of your sect?” Jiu Shen turned his head to look at Lu Sulan and looked at his confused expression.
“Ah! I-That's them sitting there.” Lu Sulan woke up from his stupor and pointed to one corner of the shop where ten adult women were seen sitting close together. They wore standard robes meant for the elders of the Ice Cloud Sword Sect. Each of these mature women looked to be in their early thirties with different charms, but they all had one thing in common – they had the same cold expression on their faces.
The ten of them were already aware of the arrival of Jiu Shen and Lu Sulan, and they could not help but feel shocked when they saw Jiu Shen. Her face in the other world was like an immortal being that had descended into the mortal world, and even these cold adult women felt their hearts pounding when they saw her handsome face. And they did not even realize that their eyes were shining brightly at that very instant.
Just as the beautiful elders from the Ice Cloud Sword Sect were about to greet Jiu Shen, the respectful voices of the two old men suddenly echoed within the shop.
“Master of Jiu Wine, Qi Hongtian wants to accept you as my master! Accept me!”

Everyone inside the shop was shocked to hear their words and they instantly turned their gaze towards the two old men who were now kneeling beside Jiu Shen. They showed the most humble expressions as they kowtowed respectfully before Jiu Shen. However, the expressions of the customers turned strange as they recognized the identities of the two.
“Are they not Lord Fengzi and Supreme Elder Qi Hongtian of the Alchemy Hall?! They actually wanted to accept Wine Lord Jiu as their master? Whoa!”
Even the ten elders from the Ice Cloud Sword Sect were astonished by what they saw. Their pretty faces were covered in expressions of disbelief.
They finally realized that Lu Sulan did not overestimate Jiu Shen's strength at all! Fuck those! He even made two proud Alchemy Hall top alchemists willing to accept him as their master! No one else is capable of doing that!
Jiu Shen's eyes remained calm and peaceful as he slowly turned his gaze toward the two old men kneeling before him. “You two are not qualified to be my students. Go.” His voice was cold and emotionless as if he did not take the two old men seriously.
The bodies of Master Fengzi and Supreme Elder Qi Hongtian trembled when they heard his cold rejection. They thought that Jiu Shen would accept them given their high achievements in alchemy, but they did not know that Jiu Shen had never treated their alchemy skills seriously.
The two old men raised their heads and looked at Jiu Shen's calm face with sad and confused expressions.
“Wine Mas-“
“You two may be talented in everyone's eyes, but to me, your talent in alchemy is mediocre. Go now.” Jiu Shen cut him off and no longer cared about them.
Customers and everyone are stunned by it. Thinking that Jiu Shen did not accept the two as his students. It was really surprising to them!
Master Fengzi and Supreme Elder Qi Hongtian glanced at each other and looked at the despair in each other's eyes. They then stood up and left the shop, but to everyone's surprise, they were actually kneeling outside the shop in the midst of the hot sunny weather! Jiu Shen nodded his head at them and gestured for them to sit down. “Everything, please sit.”
Lu Sulan who was standing behind his master could not help but smile as he showed the expressions of the elders.
“Sulan may have told you about my plans, but I will tell you once again.” Jiu Shen took a seat for himself as he said those words, while Lu Sulan stood behind him with a respectful look.
“I plan to visit Green Cloud City this time and after I finish my business there, I will start the construction of my sect here in Beltran City. At that time, I hope that your Ice Cloud Sword Sect will be willing to be a part of my sect.” Jiu Shen added with an indifferent gaze as he stared at the women in front of him. He was confident that they would accept his proposal.
The ten elders glanced at each other and knelt in front of Jiu Shen without hesitation. “We welcome you, Sect Master Jiu Shen!”
“We welcome you, Sect Master Jiu Shen!”
Their beautiful voice echoed within the shop, but their words shocked everyone.
“What?! Wine Master Jiu is setting up a sect?!”
“This is amazing news! I have to go back to my clan and report this to the elders.”
“I will definitely apply to become a Wine Master Jiu sect disciple!”
The customers discussed excitedly as they watched the scene wide-eyed.
Jiu Shen did not stop them and only gestured for them to return to their seats after a few seconds. “Tell the disciples of the Ice Cloud Sword Sect about this and place them here in Beltran City. Also, the emperor will give us this piece of land, so you should help the Silveria Imperial Family in clearing the entire place. Make sure that nothing goes wrong as long as I'm gone, and you don't have to worry about the experts in the 9th rank Saint as there will be someone who will deal with them if they decide to face us.”
Jiu Shen gave a series of commands, but there was no displeasure at the expressions of the women. In fact, they were eager to serve this handsome and unfathomable man.

“Master, I want to go with you!” Lu Sulan held onto Jiu Shen's right arm and looked at him with a pleading expression.
Jiu Shen felt her warm and gentle body stick closer to him, but he remained indifferent. “Truly no.”

“Sulan, don't be stubborn. Don't let the elders here work alone. Besides, you have to protect everyone as long as I'm gone. I'll feel more comfortable with you being here to keep an eye on everything.” Jiu Shen rubbed his head gently with a smile.
After hearing his words and feeling his gentle touch, Lu Sulan lowered his head timidly as he replied in a small voice. “OK, sir. I'll stay here.”
