“It looks like two noble families really want to kill me!” He muttered without hiding his disgust towards them.
“Do you really think that I won't realize that you're trying to buy time? Your Majesty, you underestimate us too much.” The person who seemed to be the leader of these assassins ridiculed him.
Hearing this, Cornelia's heart sank. He then activated his illusory arts with his maximum strength, while also covering his body with true essence and anma. After observing this cloaked figure, he was able to tell that they were all at least experts of the Nascent God Realm! As for their leader, he could not sense his cultivation level, but he should be in the Origin God Realm!
“Kill him! Don't underestimate him just because he's hurt! Balmond may have given him some defensive items!” The leader shouted with a cold look.

Ice stood in front of Cornelia and smiled at the assassins, showing them two rows of white teeth of her pearl. “Even if I am alone, I can still defeat useless trash like you! But this time I didn't come alone. I brought some helpers! Hehe!”
Hearing this, the assassins became alarmed and they could not help but look around the forest. That was when they saw two powerful auras.
Not long after, two figures slowly appeared before them.
One of them was an elegant woman with long purple hair. The other was a man with the same hair color. They are Long Meili and Aren! Both of them were also in the Origin God Realm!
The assassins became nervous when they found a figure floating by. It was especially true for their leader as he could feel the cultivation base of these two people. Their strength is as strong as him!

The leader of the assassins gritted his teeth and immediately let go of his anma while yelling at his subordinates. “Flee in a different direction! If you survive, report the situation to the Demon Emperor!”
The assassins immediately ran in different directions after hearing their leader's orders. They were assassins trained by two noble families for decades and they were many times stronger than most experts of the Nascent God Realm. They activated their escape art to escape at their fastest speed!
Seeing this, Long Meili raised his hand and released an invisible and boundless spiritual power that covered the entire forest. The escaping assassins immediately felt a sense of abnormality and as they tried to leave the forest, they soon realized that there was an invisible force trapping them!
“Good work, Sister Meili!” Ice giggled as he grinned broadly towards Long Meili.
The dragon girl shook her head with a smile before she turned her head towards Aren. “You can take care of the rest.”
Aren nodded his head towards her with a confident look. He then disappeared to hunt down the assassins one by one!
“Sweetest! Now, I won't have a chance to clench my fists! I shouldn't have told you to come with me.” Ice muttered with regret while punching the air with his little fist.
“You will have every chance in the future, Little Sister Ice ..” Long Meili rubbed her head gently with a smile.
Cornelia stared speechlessly at the two figures floating above the clouds. The powerful assassin immediately fled when they realized that they were unable to defeat the three. They're too strong!
It was destined to be a bloody night for those assassins….
