Chapter 26 Picking Spiritual Plants
On the outskirts of the Endless Forest, a man with long silver hair slowly descended from above the sky. “There should be Rosefinch Violent here, but nothing left. It should have been eaten by a wild beast.” Jiu Shen muttered to himself after letting out a small sigh.
He then tapped his feet and flew towards the other Violent Rosefinch.
As he flew, he suddenly heard the sounds of battle in front of him. He furrowed his brows as he increased his flying speed and headed in the direction of the fight.
Below, he saw a small group of humans surrounded by a pack of wolves. There were three humans in total, all of them were middle-aged men with cultivation levels in the 4th ranked Knight Crusader.
All three had various wounds all over their bodies. Given their current situation, they would definitely give up under the wolf pack.
“Third brother, you go and escape! Your second brother and I will hold them for a while.” The eldest among the three middle-aged men spoke in a serious tone.
The second brother nodded his head with a stern face while the third brother shook his head.
“No! I will not leave you two! Even if it's death, then we brothers will face it together!” The third brother shook his head strongly.
“Awooo!” The alpha wolf issued an order to his subordinates. Upon hearing his call, the wolves ran towards the three men with ferocious eyes.
“It's over.” The second brother said with a sorry look.
The three men thought they were going to die, but then …
“Enough!”
“Enough!”
“Enough!”
The ice spear emerged from thin air and pierced all the wolves including the alpha wolf.
The wolves groaned softly but they died a short while later.
“Leave this place now before other animals realize it.” A calm voice echoed beside their ears, but when they turned around, there was no one there.
The three of them were silent for a moment before the eldest brother dragged his two younger siblings out of the forest.
Jiu Shen who was still floating in the air shook his head calmly. “This place is full of countless ferocious beasts. As for spiritual plants, there are a few, but low-level cultivators will not be able to obtain them because these spiritual plants are closely guarded by ferocious beasts.” He muttered as he continued his flight.
Twenty minutes later, he arrived at the next location where there were many Violent Rosefinch.
“Indeed there are many here, but not enough for ten years. This amount should be enough for a year and a half, hefty. But I have to kill the little worm guarding this place first.” Jiu Shen smiled and flicked his finger.
A huge ice spear appeared in the air producing a cold sensation in the surroundings.
“Abrow!” A roar of pain echoed as the spear pierced the ground. The earth shook and the head of a huge python with green scales came out from the rubble. His large head had an ice spear firmly stuck on it causing a bucket of blood to flow freely from his wound.
Jiu Shen frowned when he saw the python thrashing its huge body. “Hei little worm, don't crush my Violent Rosefinch!”
Jiu Shen made a cutting motion with his right hand and the head of the python instantly detached from his body.
“Bumped!”
His huge body without a head fell to the ground.
Jiu Shen heaved a sigh of relief after seeing Violent Rosefinch unharmed. “I have to be careful next time or there will be no cruel Rosefinch for I picked.”
He then glanced at the spiritual plant with the size of a sink with shining eyes. The Violent Rosefinch was purple in color with sharp thorns attached to its stem.
As Jiu Shen approached the spiritual plant, the cruel Rosefinch shot their sharp thorns at him. If a rank 4 Knight Crusader were to be hit by his durations, they would suffer severe injuries. Even a 5th rank Spirit cultivator would be injured if he was careless.
With an indifferent expression, Jiu Shen calmly walked towards the spiritual plant amidst the sea of thorns. If one looked closely, they would be able to see that the thorn was not even able to reach a three meter radius around Jiu Shen.
He then picked the plants one by one, but then he stopped in his tracks. “System, do you want me to bring this ugly flower by hand?” He asked unhappily.
– Ding!
– Make Spatial Artifacts! Host, please wait a minute.
Jiu Shen grinned after hearing the serious voice of the system.
He then saw a small earring hovering in front of him. It was silver in color with a dark blue highlight. “A earring? And it's not even a pair. Oh well...” Jiu Shen placed the earrings on her left ear.
After wearing it, he looked even more devilishly handsome.
He inspected the space inside the earrings by injecting his true essence within them. The dissatisfaction in his heart disappeared after seeing the huge space inside. “Hehe!”
With a grin on his face, Jiu Shen plucked Violent Rosefinch and placed it inside his earrings. After picking everything up, he nodded his head with a satisfied expression. “I'm done here ..”
Jiu Shen circled around the outskirts of the Endless Forest as if it was his backyard. As for the ferocious beasts guarding the Violent Rosefinch, he killed them all in one strike to prevent them from destroying the spiritual plants.

After three days of flying around, he finally collected a ten year worth of Violent Rosefinch. He wasn't really required to pick ten years worth of plants, but he didn't want to get out from time to time. So in order to avoid getting out of the store in vain, he plucked ten years worth of Violent Rosefinch.
“I can finally go back to my store to rest. I will sit all day while drinking a bottle of Deep Sea Spring Dew.”
