Chapter 574: Eternity Is a Curse
After losing their leader, the Hall of Creation and the Hall of Might were defeated. With Jian Wang and the others joining the battle, it became a one-sided massacre with the soldiers from both halls falling one by one.
The massacre lasted for about a few hours before the last enemy soldiers were killed. Not even one of them survived!

Jiu Shen retrieved the Crimson God Armor from Hecate's corpse. This item was severely damaged but could still be used after regenerating back to its peak condition. Without this armor, he could kill Hecate easily. The defensive capabilities of the armor were crucial during their fight and proved useful in battle. The only problem is the long duration of regeneration.
"From the looks of it, this armor can't be used for several years." Jiu Shen muttered as he stored the Crimson God Armor inside his outer space earrings.
From his position, he could already hear the cheers of the spirit of his soldiers, but their victory did not make him happy. His true enemy is alive and kicking. Moreover, this man was unlike Hecate who was only an expert in body strengthening. This mysterious Lord of Asgard was said to be an expert in all fields and even Asmodeus could not find a single fault in him. Hopefully, Lilith will give him valuable information the moment he wakes up. That was also the reason why he had reserved it for now. Billions upon billions of years ago, he took away a large portion of his soul using a forbidden technique he had created himself. He then placed a portion of this soul into the body of a newborn child and waited for years until the child grew.
The plan was to nurture this soul to the peak of the Heavenly God Realm and devour it to expand its own cultivation.
He had been trapped in the Boundless God Realm and he showed no signs of breakthrough even after so many years had passed. He did not even know if there were still stages or small realms in the Boundless God Realm. However, he still tried all sorts of ways to increase his strength, but to no avail.
The last plan he made was to nurture a portion of his soul to the peak stage of the Heavenly God Realm and then devour it when the time came. Unfortunately, Jiu Shen was killed by Lao Gou even before he reached the Heavenly God Realm so he was forced to use the Universal Fragment to create a system and revive Jiu Shen.
This Universal Fragment was an item that only the Universe was born with after it had long been nurtured. Each universe could only give birth to one Universal Fragment and this item was capable of doing the most impossible.
Originally, he was planning to swallow this Universal Fragment, but he was afraid that he might not be able to absorb the energy within the Fragment. Fortunately, he also had the Hall of Life and Death, a Boundless ranked item that was responsible for accommodating the souls of the deceased and the newborn. He happened to find this item a long time ago. He used this item to revive the dead Jiu Shen and create a body for him using the Universal Fragment. He then used the rest of the Fragments to create a system for Jiu Shen. He spent many years and many resources on this and he was finally able to reap what he sowed back then.
"After years of waiting, I can finally catch a glimpse of what lies beyond the Boundless God Realm! Jiu Shen, I will let you live for now, but the moment you show yourself to me, I will soon devour you! Hahaha Don't make me wait too long!" The man continued to laugh until the entire hall was already shaking from his loud laughter.
As his laughter subsided, his gaze grew cold as he sat up straight. His eyes blazed like a torch that continued to burn. "If nothing goes beyond Boundaries, then I will end this Universe with me."
He was already tired of living at the top after a very long time. If there is no other purpose, then what is life for?
As an expert in the Boundless God Realm, his lifespan was eternal. Many would say that having eternal life is something to celebrate, but only those who experience the longest years know that immortality is just a curse...
