Chapter 448: The City of Hegante
Strange memories flooded Hestia's mind a few months ago, and it was only recently that she finally realized that she had been reborn!
“Older Hestia. Elder Hestia!”
“Sorry. What did you say?” Hestia glanced at Can Ye with a smile.
Can Ye furrowed his brows. Hestia was acting strangely and this was the first time she had seen him like this. “Is something wrong, Elder Hestia?”
“Nothing.” Hestia shook her head at him. He wouldn't understand even if he told her. Besides, he didn't want anyone to know anything about what happened to him.
Despite her curiosity, Can Ye refrained from asking her more questions. “Good. Let's get down now. Senior Brother is waiting for us there. We're going to the Kingdom of Narda.” He then took Hestia outside the lotus building where they met Lu Sulan.
“Are you guys ready?” Lu Sulan asked while looking at the two. Hestia and Can Ye nodded.
“Good. Let's go!” Lu Sulan led them towards Hegante City, the capital of the Narda Kingdom. The Narda Auction House where the auction will be held is located there.
The journey was not long for someone at their level and only took about an hour even though the distance was very far. The three got off at the entrance of Hegante City. Apparently, outsiders were not allowed to fly inside the city, so the three stopped at the entrance to board the carriage. However, they were shocked when someone came to greet them.
“Greetings, Division Head Lu! I am Lou Baiqing and we have fought together during the rebellion. I'm glad to see you again.” Lou Baiqing came with some generals from Narda Kingdom. The Demon Empress told him that someone from the Heavenly Sword Tower would come to Hegante City to join the auction. He's been waiting for them all this time.
Lu Sulan cupped his fists to Lou Baiqing. “It's nice to see you again, Lord Lou. This is Can Ye, Division Head of our Mission Hall, and this is Hestia, one of our strongest Elders.”
Lou Baiqing turned her gaze towards the two people standing behind Lu Sulan and smiled at them. “Happy to know you Division Head Can and Elder Hestia. Comeing! I'll take you to see His Majesty. He's in the palace waiting for you to arrive.”
“Good.” Lu Sulan, Can Ye, and Hestia nodded their heads and followed Lou Baiqing to the Narda Kingdom palace.
Lou Baiqing led them to the top floor of the palace where the Double Empress lived.
“Your Majesty, I have brought them here.” Lou Baiqing lightly bowed towards the Demon Empress.
“Greetings, Double Demon Empress.” Lu Sulan, Can Ye, and Hestia greeted the red-haired demon sitting in his chair.
The Double Demon Empress glanced at Lu Sulan and Can Ye for a moment before her gaze stopped on Hestia. Although the Demon Empress did not use her spiritual power to scan Hestia's cultivation, the Demon Empress still knew that she was the strongest among her three visitors.
“No need for formalities, Division Head Lu. Sorry, but they both?”
The Double Demon Empress stood up and cupped her fists towards them. “I know that the Heavenly Sword Tower will send representatives in our Hegante City to attend the auction at the Narda Auction House. However, I am not sure which auction item the Heavenly Sword Tower wants.”
Lu Sulan smiled at him and said questioningly. “The sect master has sent us here to bid for the Poison Valley region. I wonder if anyone else is also interested in that piece of land.”
The eyes of the Demon Empress shone after hearing his words. Why would the Heavenly Sword Tower want the Poison Valley region? It should be of no use to them, unless they were planning to build something on that rich plot of land!
“From what I heard, there are indeed some great powers that are interested in the land. A peak expert even expressed his interest in the region.” The Double Empress said with a serious look.
“Peak experts? And who is this?” Lu Sulan asked curiously.
“You may not have heard of it because you are not natives here. Everyone called him Emperor Necromancer!” The Demon Empress said in a serious tone. He knew that the undead troops and chimeras that the Lycan Family and Torgrim Family brought during the war were from the Necromancer Emperor. He wondered what the old demon was planning to do this time around.
Lu Sulan had never heard of the name, but looking at the expression of the Demon Empress, it seemed like this Necromancer Emperor was quite formidable. However, he was not worried because Hestia was with them.
“Thank you for the information, Double Demon Empress. We won't stay here long as we still have to prepare for the auction. Goodbye to.” Lu Sulan smiled at him.
“No problem. Baiqing, look at our guests out.” The Double Demon Empress did not let them stay when she saw Lu Sulan's expression. He knew that these people would start investigating on their own. However, that was not the case, so he did not plan to stop them.
Lou Baiqing led them out of the palace.
After the three left the palace, Lu Sulan glanced at Can Ye and said. “Young Brother, I want you to investigate this Necromancer Emperor. Meet us at this location after your inquiry.” He pointed at an inn on the map.
Can Ye looked at the map and nodded his head. “Good. I'll be right back.”
“Cautious.” Lu Sulan patted his shoulder.
Can Ye's figure disappeared from the scene.
“Are you worried about the Necromancer Emperor that this Demon Empress spoke of?” Hestia asked as she looked at Lu Sulan.
Lu Sulan nodded his head with a frown on his face. “I won't let anyone snatch that land from us!”
