Chapter 578: Ruler of Asgard
After two days, Asmodeus managed to set up a Transferring Essence Array Formation by himself. He barely slept and remained focused on making the array.
"It's all done!" An overbearing expression covered Asmodeus' face as he stared at Jiu Shen.
Jian Wang gave him a thumbs up, while the others also gave him praise.
"Will this work?" Jiu Shen patted the Formation Array while looking at Asmodeus.
"of course! Who do you think created this thing?" Asmodeus replied with a no-nonsense expression on his face.
"good. Jian Wang, prepare the troops. We'll leave tomorrow morning." Jiu Shen said with a calm expression.
"Good."
Everyone became serious when they heard this.

The next day, the soldiers of the Heavenly Sword Tower boarded the flying ship. They were aware that their goal this time was the famous 'Asgard', a place no one had entered yet!
"Let's go!" Jian Wang signaled the departure of the entire fleet.
Thousands of flying ships floated through the clouds and moved towards the famous floating city above the sky.
Normally, a powerful force would deter anyone from ascending to a floating city, but for some strange reason, nothing would restrict the entire fleet. There was not even an ounce of strength that prevented them from entering Asgard! It was as if they were given access to fly directly into the floating city!
"What's going on?" Jiu Shen frowned when he realized that they did not even need to use force to enter the floating city. Their flying ship made it through the forbidden zone of Asgard and they were about to descend into the floating city.
From where he stood, Jiu Shen could already see three towers standing upright like monumental monsters. No enemy was blocking their way. The whole floating city is empty!
"Search the entire area!" Jiu Shen ordered as he landed in a graceful motion.
Immediately, the other Celestials followed behind him.
"Theia, lead the soldiers to examine every nook and cranny of this place." Jiu Shen sent a transmission to Theia.
"alright. Careful." He immediately responded.
"Yes, you too." He retaliated.
After which, Theia led the soldiers to inspect the entire floating city.
When the soldiers left, Jiu Shen glanced at Lilith and asked. "Where is the castle of the Gods?"
Lilith pointed to a large building with glamorous architecture. "That's where we usually meet the Lord when we are called by him. He should be there."
Jiu Shen nodded his head and immediately led them to the castle.
The surroundings were strangely quiet and it made them unnaturally anxious. They could feel a pair of invisible eyes watching their every action. It was an uncomfortable feeling.
Immediately, the group arrived at the spacious hall. High and massive pillars support the hall.
Sitting on the throne was a man wearing a wolf mask. He had a silver armor with a snow-white robe behind his back.
"You took quite a long time, Jiu Shen." An emotionless calm voice resounded within the hall.
His sudden words made the group stop in their tracks.
Without waiting for them to speak, the masked man continued. "I've waited billions of years for your arrival. Did you know that I spent half my fortune just for you?"
Hearing all this, Jiu Shen furrowed his brows. "What do you mean?"
To his question, the man suddenly laughed. His body trembled as he laughed out loud.
After about ten seconds, the man grabbed his wolf mask and put it down.
It was a very familiar face to everyone. Jiu Shen's face!
The only difference was that his pupils were black with a deep red tinge. There was also a terrible wound on the corner of his lips and left cheek, possibly a sword wound.
"As you can see, I am you, and you are me." The man smiled at Jiu Shen, completely ignoring the others. In his eyes, the others were just insects, none of which were worth mentioning.
With this sudden revelation, Jiu Shen and the others were shocked.
"What the fuck?!"
"Wait... What's going on?!"
Jiu Shen's soul trembled as an influx of foreign memories suddenly flowed within his head.

The man nodded his head with an unchanging smile. "That's right. I took most of my soul and used the Limitless ranked item to create a body and system for you. Now that we have met again, it is only right for you to join me once again. Jiu Shen, come here..." His voice was filled with magnetic force, extremely alluring and hypnotizing.
"Don't let him fool you, Jiu Shen! Stop that!" Lilith clutched her shoulders and roared on her face. The others also managed to break away from the hypnotizing spell when they heard Lilith cry.
Jiu Shen's eyes widened and he immediately looked at the man sitting on the throne with a wary look. This man almost made the entire group fall into his trap with just a few words. Fortunately, Lilith's soul was stronger.
"Jiu Shen, there is no time to hesitate. Use array immediately!" Asmodeus took out the Essence Transfer Array Formation and activated it without hesitation.
"Everyone, put your hands here! Hurry along!" Asmodeus shouted as he took out what looked like a crystal ball. The crystal was emitting pure energy, filled with monstrous power.
The others did not dare to linger. They had already sensed the abnormality of Lord or Asgard. Despite their shock at the disclosure of his identity, they immediately summoned their strength towards the crystal ball. Everyone's faces were filled with sweat as they transferred all their strength.
Immediately, their cultivation began to drop and the energy within the crystal ball increased.
With a red expression on his face, Asmodeus grabbed Jiu Shen's arm and said. "When our strength runs out, absorb the energy within this crystal ball!"
Jiu Shen nodded his head with a grim look.
