Chapter 564: Before the War
In the Desert Region, an army of ten million soldiers stood tall. The faces of the soldiers were covered in sweat from the scorching heat. But none of them complained.
At the forefront of this large army, there were four figures sitting in front of the table. The only thing protecting them from the blinding heat was the huge umbrella that floated above them.
"Hecate should have noticed that Elena had left the forest. The man was so obsessed with her that he would probably arrive here in a few hours. Our army should be enough to handle their people and the only one I am worried about is Lilith. We don't know for sure if he allowed us to kill Hecate. I'm not even sure if we can kill that guy." Asmodeus rubbed his temple.
Hecate is known in Asgard as the Walking Fortress. The man's physical body was immune to any form of physical damage and he even had Celestial-ranked armor that increased his sturdiness and defense.
"Jiu Shen and I will take care of Hecate. You two have to finish Troy and Sebastian off as fast as you can. I can't believe we can't kill him if the four of us join hands against him!" Jian Wang muttered softly.
"Elena, where's Elyssier?" Jiu Shen suddenly asked.
Elena turned her gaze towards Jiu Shen and smiled. "He was with the traitors. The girl wasn't good at planning military tactics so just let her."
Jiu Shen nodded.
There were five Celestials in their army, including the spirit body of the Eonic Ragarwood Tree, Elyssier. His strength was at the mid stage of the Heavenly God Realm so his help was needed to achieve victory. Fortunately he came with them of his own accord.
The four of them discussed their battle strategies for several hours, but they still had not found a way to eliminate Hecate. The man could hardly be killed based on Asmodeus' description.
Actually, Jiu Shen did not worry about Hecate too much. He was confident that he could stop the man alone. What worried him the most was the mysterious Lord of Asgard. According to Asmodeus, he had only seen the Lord of Asgard once and he had only said a few lines about God.
He is a god!
Jiu Shen was unsure of this claim, but somehow, there was some truth in his words.
Suddenly, the four of them stared into the distance.
"He's here!" Asmodeus stood with furrowed brows. He then took out the Formation Array he had prepared and threw it in all directions.
Elena hid behind Jiu Shen and peeked over his shoulder.
Soldiers wearing red armor covered the sky. A man wearing a fiery red armor led them. He had a wide smile on his face as he looked at the large army in the Desert Region.
"Elena, I already told you that I will take you as my bride once you leave that forest. Are you here to wait for my proposal?" He said as he looked at Elena who was hiding behind Jiu Shen.
"You must be Hecate? Unfortunately, Elena is not here to propose to you. You see, he's more interested in my friend here." Jian Wang chuckled as he winked at Jiu Shen.
Asmodeus nearly fainted upon hearing Jian Wang provoke Hecate in such a manner. 'What are you doing, you idiot?! Why don't you need to anger that war maniac?!'
Hecate's face darkened, but he immediately smiled. "Is that so? To be honest, I'm not here just to take Elena back. God has ordered me to come here for a certain matter."
His loud voice resounded throughout the entire Desert Region.
Asmodeus frowned after hearing this. He also felt his heart tighten as he stepped forward. "What do you mean, Hecate?!"
If the Lord of Asgard was involved, things might become more rumi.Hecate grinned as he turned his gaze toward Asmodeus. "god hates traitors the most. He told me to punish the traitor, Asmodeus, and shower terror on the Primordial God Realm to announce the presence of Asgard to everyone! Ahaha!"
A horrifying expression appeared on Hecate's stiff face. He then took the crimson helmet out of nowhere and put it on. "This is my engagement gift to you, Elena! The ant's blood and the heads of your friends!"
Troy and Sebastian who were both standing behind Hecate were stunned. That was absolutely not what they discussed yesterday!
"This ... Hall Master, what about the reward we prepared yesterday?" Troy sends a voice transmission to Hecate. They even prepared the most valuable items and brought their troops as entourage.
Hecate stiffened upon hearing the sound transmission. He glared at Troy, making the man instantly shut his mouth.
Hecate gritted his teeth, but there was nothing he could do. The Lord of Asgard sent him a surprise mission just hours before they left Asgard.
"Asmodeus, you filthy traitor! I, Hecate, the Hall Master of the Hall of Might will punish you for betraying God!" Hecate shouted as he took out a large flaming hammer and a sturdy red shield.
Seeing that war was about to break out, everyone became anxious.
The Heaven Sword Army grabbed their swords, while the Asmodeus and Elena soldiers also took out their weapons.
Asmodeus immediately activated the Formation Array around the Desert Region and wore the defensive talisman he made for himself.
Jiu Shen wore a Heavenly ranked plain white armor made by Asmodeus. He then summoned his Baleful Dragon Sacred Sword.
The tense atmosphere further increased as he glared at the tall figure wearing red armor.
