Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Prologues

In a mountain place covered by thin clouds, precisely in a land that juts out like a very steep ravine.

There was a middle-aged woman in the shade with a bunch of little children under an old peach tree.

"Teacher, will you continue the story of the Tang swordsman yesterday? I was very curious about the next story" one of the girls told her teacher.

"Defender Tang? I know Master has never told me about the swordsman," said another child.

The students gathered there were children aged five to seven. There were five of them with three boys.

"That's because you weren't present yesterday, Master even told it while laughing and occasionally shed tears."

"Have been. Master will tell that story back today, so there's no need to fight, huh." The middle-aged woman broke up the children in front of her. He felt embarrassed if the child who heard the story yesterday from him would leak other embarrassing things.

"Teacher is very good." Then the children there immediately sat down cross-legged neatly in front of the Master.

"Well then, take a good look at what Master will say, take a meaningful lesson from him." The middle-aged woman took a breath before beginning to tell her story, "This story dates back 3000 years, telling of a young man named Tang Fu Chen…"

The children listened to the teacher who began to tell stories. The atmosphere was so quiet, there was only the sound of wind gusts and birdsong accompanying the middle-aged woman telling her story.

His shawl followed the wind beneath a shady peach tree.

The sun began to reveal itself to illuminate a beautiful and cool village in the morning.

The village was named Falling Star Village. The name is obtained because of a giant basin that is believed to be the location of the fall of stars from the sky.

Inside the basin was built a building that serves as a storage area for valuable property belonging to the villagers. Each head of the family will be given a key to open the building and a large fence that surrounds the basin.

However, that doesn't mean they can get in there at will. Inside the building there are many wooden boxes of the same size, as well as a statue right in the middle of the room. The statue looked like it was watching the entire room.

Showing that every movement of villagers who enter the building will always be monitored by the Gods they trust.

As the sun rose overhead, a middle-aged man of about forty was resting with his wife in a simple hut.

Around the hut there is a fairly wide expanse of rice fields, right behind the hut there is also a stream of water that irrigates the rice fields.

The couple appeared to be preparing the food they were carrying. Then in the rice fields not far from their place, there were two small children. One of them looked like he was looking for something while the other was just watching.

"Chen'er.. Mei'er, come here! The food is ready," Xin Xue called her two children.

The two children immediately stopped their activities.

"Did my sister get it? I left first." said a girl named Tang Fu Mei as she left her brother and ran to the hut where her father and mother rested.

"Hey, wait for me! I almost got it" said Tang Fu Chen who was still busy scavenging for mud in front of him. Instantly, Tang Fu Chen immediately jumped into the mud realizing there was movement there.

"Hup, ah. can, Mei'er wait for me!" tang Fu Chen said with excitement and then followed his younger brother who had first arrived at the hut.

"Mother.behold, I got a conch, hehe.." Tang Fu Mei said to her mother as she stuck out her small hands and showed two snails.

"Wah.. that's good Mei'er. Immediately wash your hands, the food is ready," Xin Xue said with a gentle smile to Tang Fu Mei.

"Alright" Tang Fu Mei had not finished her sentence, she saw her brother's body filled with mud with severed breath.

"Pfft.. sis, you look like a buffalo who was helping me plow the fields.." Tang Fu Mei tried to hold back the laughter of seeing her brother who was so silly.

Tang Fu Chen paid no heed to his sister's taunts, he just let out a slow snort and tried to catch his breath again.

"Hmphc... Look, I caught an eel!" he said with a big smile.

The eel in Tang Fu Chen's hand thrashed as he lifted it. As the slippery eel finally managed to break away, Tang Fu Chen was still trying to catch it but in vain.

The eel had already escaped and entered the stream there. Tang Fu Chen looked at the eel running away, all his efforts being wasted.

"Here you go, tomorrow you can still catch him.Now you better clean yourself first, we'll be home soon after we finish eating," Tang Shu encouraged her son.

"Well dad.." Tang Fu Chen replied limply.

"The thief! Don't let the thief escape! Catch her!"

Suddenly there was a scream of some residents from the direction of the rice field. The gaze of Tang Fu Chen and his family immediately fell on the source of the voice, their eyes then saw the citizens were chasing after someone who was carrying something in his arms.

"Chen'er.." call Tang Shu with a serious face.

As if knowing his father's intentions, Tang Fu Chen immediately nodded his head and hurried to leave the hut.

"Sister?" Tang Fu Mei was surprised to see her brother running quickly and caught up with the citizens.

Tang Fu Chen ran so fast that he easily caught up with the group of citizens and preceded him. Not far in front of him was a person in shabby clothes, could this person be the thief?

Relying on his small body, Tang Fu Chen was able to move agilely over the slippery path and it only took him a while until his hands managed to reach for the thief's clothes.

The thief lost his balance because his clothes were pulled to make him slip and fall into the trench. Tang Fu Chen still did not let go of his hand for the thief to be unable to escape back.

"Steach the thief does not know this self!"

The group of citizens who had been chasing had intended to gang up on the thief but were immediately stopped by Tang Fu Chen.

"Wait!" tang Fu Chan exclaimed as he tried to obstruct the citizens.

"Keep away young! We'll take care of this thief."

"I said wait!" Tang Fu Chen stared intently at the man who had just spoken.

Unknowingly they gulped down each of them out of fear as well as surprise. The citizens could only remain silent while observing the actions Tang Fu Chen took afterwards.

"You okay?" Tang Fu Chen stuck out his hand with a gentle smile.

But there was no reply from the thief, the young man just cowering in fear while clutching his loot.

"Have you guys caught him?" Tang Shu's voice shocked the citizens as it suddenly appeared. Then they opened the way for him.

"Brother Shu, that boy has stolen bread in my shop. Please don't stop me from punishing him" said one man.

"Hmm.." Tang Shu scanned the thief's face deeper, she had never seen a face like that in the Village.

"What if we just take him? After all your bread has been covered in mud, beating it now produces nothing, right?" Tang Shu spoke with a fluffy smile.

The man named Hu Lingxi gritted his teeth but he also confirmed Tang Shu's actions. "Where should we take him?"

"Before bringing him to the village chief, we better ask him the reason first, I'm pretty sure this brat is also forced to become a thief." Tang Shu's gaze then led to Fu Chen. "Clean this kid's body and take it to the shack, clean it up, too."

"Good." Fu Chen nodded his head.

Because Tang Shu's hut was too small, some residents voted back and only the concerned remained.

Xin Xue brought Tang Fu Mei home, while Tang Fu Chen was still accompanying her father.

After a few moments of conversation with the thief, they found out that this young man was actually a victim of a robbery and was hiding in the forest. But because their food supply was not there, he was forced to steal to fill the stomach.

At the end of the conversation Tang Shu decided to report this young man to the Village Chief. Tang Shu was quite certain that the Village Chief would provide assistance to this young man's family, whereas Hu Lingxi became guilty after hearing this young man's story.

"You should have told me right from the start, I'll give you whatever bread you want if your story is true." Hu Lingxi sighed softly.

"Chen'er, go home first. Daddy's gonna take care of this kid's problems."

"Okay dad.."Fu Chen was a little reluctant, but even if he stayed here would help nothing.
