The main hall of the Song Empire's palace, a young man was facing the Emperor with his head lowered. Inside the hall were only the two of them, the atmosphere was so quiet that no one spoke up yet.
"Your Majesty, I heard that in the near future there will be an auction in the Capital City. Can I attend the auction?" the young man asked, breaking the silence.
Emperor Song chuckled at her, then said, "You are a Prince. Lift your head! It is not proper for a crown prince to bow his head to someone else."
The young man called the Prince raised his head without lowering his respect. The Emperor smiled at him.
"We've talked about this before, you're free to visit any place you want. I have no right to ban you, Tian'er. As long as you hide your identity then it doesn't matter" Emperor Song said
The young man who was none other than Meng Tian immediately pondered the words of the Emperor. After his escape from the traitors of the Meng Empire one year ago, General Jia Lu decided to surrender himself to Emperor Song. General Jia Lu realized that the problem facing Meng Tian was too big for him to solve on his own.
Emperor Song was greatly shocked when he heard the reports regarding Meng Tian and his Empire. He really did not expect that the Meng Empire would fall into the hands of the Black Stream after decades of standing still, even under the pressure that existed in that Empire.
Emperor Song then asked General Jia Lu to take Meng Tian and his sister to the Capital. The information regarding the two of them was also kept secret so that the warriors from the Meng Empire would no longer hunt him down.
However, no matter how cleverly they hid the information, in fact the news of the transfer of the throne of the Meng Empire had spread widely in the ears of the Song Empire warriors. Luckily the people from the Meng Empire only knew that their Prince, Meng Tian and his sister had died when the rebellion occurred.
Realizing that, Emperor Song immediately ordered to strengthen the guard at the border of Meng Empire. He did not want the warrior of the Meng Empire to wreak havoc in his country.
Even so, Emperor Song was quite certain that the rebels in the Meng Empire would not come to his country after thinking about the chaos that had occurred there. They would naturally have to contend with the sects from the White Stream in the Empire because of the chaos they created.
Emperor Song allowed Meng Tian and his younger brother to stay in the palace, in addition to guarding them he could also hide information regarding the two. At first quite a lot were unhappy with the presence of the brothers because they did not have a clear identity.
But as time went on, the two began to get familiar with the palace dwellers even quite close to Emperor Song's son. Emperor Song himself was quite happy with the development, he had considered Meng Tian and his younger brother as his own children even though the young man was still acting formally to him.

Emperor Song advised Meng Tian to attend the auction with her son, so she could participate as part of the royal family. Moreover, Emperor Song also wanted to ensure the safety of this young man before him.
"What are you looking for at the auction? Why don't you just ask me? I'll give you anything if the thing you asked for is in this palace."
Emperor Song thought that Meng Tian might be intent on finding an heirloom weapon because this young man had nothing to lose while fleeing his Empire. The only thing attached to Meng Tian was only the Earth ring that belonged to her father long ago. He got the ring because the father had thought the rebellion would happen.
Meng Tian shook his head slowly then smiled gently. "You don't have to do it, Your Majesty. I just feel interested in following the auction."
Emperor Song looked at Meng Tian for a while, then chuckled. "Well, do what you like, I won't interfere with your business."
"Thank you, Your Majesty. I beg you to resign." Meng Tian cupped his hands together then walked away after saluting.
Meng Tian turned back his head and smiled gently. "Sorry Your Majesty, I cannot be bound to any group outside of the Meng Empire. It was a ban that I had been following all along," Meng Tian replied without a doubt.
Emperor Song slightly sighed, he always got the same answer when asking that. "Tian'er, you now live in the Song Empire. Maybe the Meng Empire you used to live in was no longer the same. It would not hurt to establish relations with groups in other Empires."
Meng Tian shook his head slowly, his gaze meeting with Emperor Song before he finally said, "It is precisely because the Meng Empire is no longer the same, I must still maintain its rules so that the Empire does not really change." Meng Tian remained firm on his stance.
Emperor Song sighed in resignation. "Be careful at the auction. There will be many warriors from the outer sect present, maybe they will find out your identity if you are too conspicuous."
"Good." Meng Tian again cupped his hands together with his head lowered. He then left the hall without being stopped back by His Majesty.
"Sister, how? Is His Majesty letting us go?" meng Zhi asked as her brother walked out of the hall. His face looked a little anxious.
Meng Tian only smiled gently before saying, "You take it easy, Your Majesty has given permission. We'll find information about your body there."
Meng Zhi smiled broadly at it and immediately hugged the elder brother's arm. "I hope we get it soon."
Meng Tian smiled gently then rubbed the girl's head. "Sure, you don't have to worry."

"Why do seniors choose to sleep in an inn? Is the senior family residence not here?" Fu Chen felt astonished that Xiao Jung did not want to go to the main residence of his family. He had even hidden his true identity upon entering the Capital City.
The two of them had arrived at the Capital since a few days ago. The Imperial Capital was indeed very different from the Cities Fu Chen had visited during the trip. Even to enter it they have to queue with traders and visitors.
Fu Chen guessed that the Capital looks more crowded because of the auction that will soon be held. Fu Chen was flabbergasted when he first entered the City, the first thing he saw was the tall buildings lined up along the street.
Upon seeing that, he got a slight picture as to how big the wars were on his clan and the warriors of the Central Continent. Just thinking about it made Fu Chen furious because he imagined how many innocent victims had lost their lives.
Fu Chen and Xiao Jung were now enjoying a meal at an inn, Fu Chen did not expect that the food in the Capital City would become quite expensive.
"Senior, how long will the auction take?" Fu Chen felt impatient to watch the auction.
"It should be another week. What was? Don't you usually offend that?" xiao Jung asked leisurely as he chewed his food.
Fu Chen nodded his head and smiled wryly, "It's nothing. I'm just a little curious."
