Ch.47 - Elevated Test

Fu Chen was frustrated that Li Han did not show up even though a week had passed. He went to the library too often and was not very familiar with the others.

Sin Lou and Kyoto are often ignored because they are too focused on practicing. He regretted that now.

The next day Fu Chen chose to train alone on the outskirts of the lake. He tried to re-train his sword skills. He realized his flaws from the fight with Tao Lin the other day.

Fu Chen practiced until the evening. Several times he tried to combine his Rafting Sword Science with Shadow Dance. Fu Chen thought he could combine the two styles together because he relied on speed.

The results were quite satisfying according to him. Although only practicing with twigs, he can combine several movements from both styles.

Fu Chen then sat down with his head looking up at the sky. His clothes were soaked with so much sweat.

"When will elder Li return…? Should I wait for him?" Fu Chen muttered while looking at the sun that was beginning to sink in the western horizon. For a long time he stared at her before a thought awakened him.

"No, no! Since when do I depend on others like this? I'll have another elder be my witness later!" Fu Chen shook his head, trying to convince himself.

Early in the morning Fu Chen came to visit the library. There he still did not find the old man he was looking for. Convinced of his decision, Fu Chen tried to ask the female servant there and question the location of the elders residence.

The servant pointed out the directions in detail and gave the names of the elders living in each place he pointed to.

Fu Chen nodded his head and thanked the servant before rushing off.

Fu Chen darted with the science of lightening his body despite the prohibition in the sect from using it.

Fu Chen approached a villa that was quite large as his first destination. There were also many students who were practicing. It seemed like they were disciples under the guidance of the elder occupying the place.

"Senior! Is the elder in his residence?" Fu Chen asked a resting disciple.

The disciple glanced towards Fu Chen. "Yes, what's wrong?" Short reply.

"I have a little business. Can senior take me to see the elder?" Pinta Fu Chen with a polite tone.

The disciple did not immediately reply, he observed Fu Chen from top to bottom for a moment. "Follow me!"

Fu Chen followed the young man with a wide smile. I wish the elder would be a witness. Fu Chen was taken to the villa's backyard. There some people were seriously beating the wooden samsak.

While a middle-aged man who looks 45 years old is sitting under a large tree while observing his students. The young man Fu Chen had met earlier brought him to the man.

"Teacher .. I brought someone who wants to see you." Greet the young man politely.

"What's wrong?" Ask the elder. Still looking at his students.

The young man who was escorting Fu Chen earlier glanced at him. Give a signal to answer immediately.

Fu Chen hesitated a little, but he was already here. "I'm sorry if this student was presumptuous before. If the elder pleases, will the elder be a witness for me to be a part of the inner disciple?" Fu Chen asked slightly stammered.

The elder glanced towards Fu Chen, he looked at Fu Chen from top to bottom. The elder's flat face made Fu Chen straighten his saliva.

"Return .. I don't have time to take care of that." Reply to the elder, short.

Fu Chen seemed to understand the elder's reason. He was a little disappointed, but he couldn't show it.

"Alright.. thanks, elder." Fu Chen saluted him then left the elder.

The previous youth still escorted Fu Chen all the way to the front porch. "You'd better ask elder Bai for help. He seems to have plenty of time to take care of you." The young man's suggestion before returning inside, without waiting for Fu Chen's reply.

"Elder Bai?" Fu Chen muttered while recalling some of the events he had experienced. "Wouldn't it be, I'd better find another elder even if it's harder." Fu Chen could only smile wryly considering that he had a problem with the Bai brothers.

Fu Chen continued to be in the residence of the elders for up to several hours. Tired of how he must have felt. Even he had to throw his embarrassment away. Almost all the elders he had met but most reasoned not to have the time.

Fu Chen was completely inexhaustible if asking for the help of an elder was extremely troublesome. Fu Chen then entered the residence which was quite desolate. Only a few students were training there.

Everything in the courtyard stopped their activities and looked at Fu Chen with a strange look. Fu Chen swallowed his saliva then smiled like a fool.

"What's wrong?" Ask a young man.

"Is elder Wang inside?" Fu Chen asked, straight to the point of the discussion.

"none. The elder is on a mission. What need is it? I'll tell you when he gets back." That burly young man.

"Ah, so is it." Fu Chen's body went limp, instantly his spirit plummeted. "Thank you."

The muscular youth tilted his head in astonishment with Fu Chen. Just a few steps into his second walk, Fu Chen then remembered with an elder who might be able to help him.

"Ah, senior.." Call Fu Chen back, make the muscular young man roll his eyeballs.

"What else?" The young man was sniffed.

"Do seniors know where the residence of the elder who trained senior Tao Lin is?" Fu Chen asked, Sumringah.

"The one who trained Tao Lin…?" The muscular young man thought for a moment. "Ah, you mean elder Mao?" Said the young man after he managed to remember something.

"Maybe.." Fu Chen himself did not know what the elder's name was.

"His residence is not far from here." The muscular youth began to give direction to Fu Chen.

Fu Chen smiled broadly. He thanked the young man and then ran small towards the residence of elder Mao who mentioned the young man earlier.

Running around like a kid who just got money from his mom. Without knowing the results he will get. That was the current image of Fu Chen.

Fu Chen took a deep breath after finding the residence of elder Mao. He had just wanted to open the gate, but it had already opened from the inside.

"Fu Chen?" Said a middle-aged man who was none other than elder Mao.

Fu Chen smiled awkwardly as he stroked his nape. "Truly, elder…"

"What do you need to do here?" Asked Elder Mao while opening the gate wider.

"That's .. this is about the token I got the other day…"

"Did you lose it?" Cut out elder Mao because Fu Chen seemed hesitant to say so.

"Ah no, not so." Fu Chen took a breath.

"Then?" Ask the elder again. Surprised by Fu Chen's behavior.

"I plan on exchanging it to become an inner disciple. So... does the elder have time to witness my ascension?" Fu Chen sighed softly afterwards.

"So yeah .. You're lucky enough because Tao Lin will do it tomorrow as well."

Fu Chen raised his eyebrows. "So fast?" It's hard to believe that the boy will get his position back in a few days. But that's the truth.

Elder Mao flashed his smile. "Don't I say. He'll get it back soon."

"You can come to the administration tomorrow morning if you want me to be your witness." Afterwards, elder Mao left Fu Chen alone in front of his residence. He looks to be in a hurry.

Fu Chen nodded his head with a wide smile. Then he also intended to leave, but his steps stopped to see the gate that was still wide open.

"Elder seems to have forgotten to close this door."
