Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.131 - Let go

"So you mean the reason why elder Li suddenly gave the disciples a mission was to protect them from fighting?"

"Yes that is how it is. I think you have heard the news circulating, all the elders have died in that battle, even most of the core disciples did as well. So I'll explain straight away why the students are now like this." Sin Lou took a deep breath.

"After we became part of the Wind Sword sect, the lives of the disciples of the Sacred Sword sect instantly changed drastically. We were always one-eyed by the elders, even they treated us like messengers…"

The former disciples of the Sacred Sword sect had always been treated unfairly, although no more looters came to the sect but their lives were no better.

Moreover, for those intending to leave the sect, they would never be accepted in another sect. The elders of the Wind Sword sect threatened them with some things that Sin Lou did not understand.

Even until now all the former disciples of the Holy Sword Sect were struggling to get their justice. They did everything they could to gain the support of some elders, including Li Wushu.

Fu Chen's jaw stiffened as he heard Sin Lou's explanation, he had expected all of that but still did not expect that they would actually do so.

"Then why didn't you tell the guard that I was also a disciple of the Sacred Sword Sect? Does it have anything to do with your story?"

Fu Chen was actually quite surprised by Sin Lou's earlier confession, but he refrained from refuting Sin Lou's remarks because the situation was less precise.

"I did it to protect you, as you know all the disciples of the Holy Sword Sect were forcibly entered into their sect and it is indisputable." Sin Lou sighed softly, his life now was much different from his dreams in the past.

Fu Chen was silent for a while, perhaps his friends who would also not leave the sect given their limitations to obtaining resources.

"What about senior Xiao? I'm sure that guy doesn't want his life to be curbed like this."

Sin Lou said that Xiao Jung chose to return to his family, in fact it was not Xiao Jung's own choice but an order from his father. Xiao Jung had insisted on supporting the Holy Sword sect, but unfortunately he did not get support from anyone.

"Didn't you guys want to leave this sect as well?"

"Although our situation is difficult, but we have promised the villagers to become great warriors who can protect them. In order for the tragedy of the time not to be repeated again, after all, where would we go if we were to get out of this sect?"

Fu Chen nodded in understanding, in contrast to him who had a Dou Huang, these friends still needed a lot of experience before venturing in the outside world. Especially after the few events that Fu Chen had experienced lately, he felt that the martial world was a terrible place.

Some time later Sin Lou went from there. He was sure Fu Chen had set his goal before he even returned to the sect, so Sin Lou only advised that the young man remain cautious out there.

Fu Chen looked at Sin Lou who was starting to move away in silence, for the umpteenth time he had to feel a separation from those closest to him.

Fu Chen looked up his head and looked at the sky with a long sigh. His mind was blank, the young man began to be confused as to where he should go next.

"Teacher Li, I'm sorry! Our meeting felt so short but the lessons you taught me were so many. May your spirit be received in nature there."

Fu Chen bowed his body for a while, he did not have much time to grieve and ponder over all of this. He could only keep going and following the groove.

***

Fu Chen rested himself on the outskirts of the forest as the sun started to sink, in front of him had lit a bonfire that was burning a piece of meat.

As Fu Chen remembered the Ye family was now the leader of the Golden Star organization in the Song Empire. If he could establish cooperation with the family it might be that his affairs in the Song Empire would be coming to an end.

But Fu Chen needed to think of a mature plan to convince the family, at least he had to guarantee that they would also benefit equally.

On the sidelines as Fu Chen was reading his father's notes, suddenly the figure of a Dou Huang reappeared and surprised Fu Chen. The old man was carrying two red fruits in his hands.

"Eat this!" Dou Huang threw the two fruits at Fu Chen.

"What's this?" Fu Chen raised his eyebrows, puzzled that Dou Huang's behavior was too sudden.

"Eat it, it can restore your broken soul." Dou Huang replied quickly, it seems like the man's mood is not good.

"My soul is broken? What do you mean I'm crazy?" Fu Chen stared at the strange Dou Huang, he was precisely worried that after he ate this fruit he would suffer from a mental illness.

"Come, just eat and you'll feel the benefits." Dou Huang shook his head slowly, he could not tell that part of the soul of this young man had been sucked in by Feng Bian.

"Um, fine.." Fu Chen swallowed his saliva for a moment, this fruit did look like a rare resource but he was worried about its unclear efficacy.

"So soon cultivate after you eat the fruit."

Fu Chen obeyed Dou Huang's orders, he ate the fruit that did not have that taste voraciously. While Dou Huang only let out a long sigh looking at him.

"It's a pity that it's the last fruit, I hope two grains are enough to recover some of this child's soul."

Time continued to travel with Fu Chen who was cultivating. The young man then immediately stopped his activities as he felt that he had absorbed the fruit's entire efficacy. Fu Chen's mind became calmer and clearer, his head like it was being doused by cold water.

It felt very comfortable, making Fu Chen unaware that he had been cultivating all night. The bonfire he had made was gone, while the meat he had roasted was no longer there either.

"How are you doing?" Dou Huang again appeared, this time his face was slightly brighter.

"It's amazing, I've never felt this sensation before." Fu Chen smiled widely while stretching his body.

"Good, because the fruit you eat is the last so don't ask for it again in the future."

"Hehe's good," Fu Chen smiled awkwardly as he stroked the nape of his neck, "Actually where did you go these few days?"

Dou Huang paused for a moment before saying that he went to recover his steadily diminishing soul strength. Dou Huang actually took longer but he did not want to make Fu Chen worry.

Fu Chen actually did not believe in that recognition much less because the figure of a Dou Huang looked more transparent than before. But Fu Chen did not want to ask any further and only trusted Dou Huang's words alone.

As Fu Chen continued on his way he found a small troupe that was resting not far by the roadside. A woman in the entourage was seen waving her hand to Fu Chen.

"Isn't that noble lady Su?"
