Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.93 - Teacher

Fu Chen locked himself inside the room for two days after visiting elder Li. Fu Chen's thoughts were filled with the shadow of fear because a person as strong as elder Li had already looked for his background from the start.

Fu Chen began to guess the striking things from him and there were several reasons that made some people tinker with him. But still, that doesn't explain anything to the problem.

Right on the day that Fu Chen had rounded up his decision, Fu Chen came back to elder Li who was in his room.

"Oh.. It turns out you still dare to come to my place." Elder Li greeted with a faint smile. Elder Li slightly did not expect Fu Chen would come sooner than he expected.

Fu Chen just stood still and continued to stand, his sword was not stored in the earth ring but was neatly sheathed which was then tied around his waist.

Elder Li sighed for a moment, he knew the current Fu Chen would only talk as necessary. Elder Li slightly questioned whether the decision he took yesterday was right or not.

"Why did you come here if you just stayed there?" Elder Li was a little indifferent, after all he only wanted to see how Fu Chen made his decision in dealing with this matter.

Fu Chen slightly clenched his hands, gathering the courage to say the intent and purpose he had carefully considered.

"Please take me as your student!" Fu Chen knelt down on one leg, his sword lying in front as a sign of his sincerity.

Fu Chen's head bowed, while his heart continued to beat rapidly waiting for the answer from the person he still suspected to be an enemy or friend.

Fu Chen dared to take such a big risk after considering a few things, at least he was quite certain that elder Li would not kill him anytime soon.

Elder Li was only silent for a while, he waited for someone whose presence was getting closer.

"Hope if your decision is not wrong." Elder Li got up from the chair and walked up to Fu Chen. Elder Li stopped right before Fu Chen and picked up the katana lying beneath him.

There was a sound of several footsteps from outside, making Fu Chen's heart beat faster, many guesses that flowed heavily in his head to make cold sweat start to pour out.

However, the young man remained silent while bowing his head, resigned to the fate to come.

"Excuse me, sir," said one waiter, and the door of the room opened wide.

Fu Chen gulped a few times until a familiar sounding voice managed to shock him.

"Fu Chen?" Kyoto frowned slightly.

"Hey, Old Man! Didn't you say you'd raise me as your first student? Are you trying to trick us, huh?" Sin Lou stared intently at elder Li, but his arrogance did not last long as Kyoto directly hit the boy on the head.

"Speak politely to an elder, fool!" whispered Kyoto while holding back the furious.

Fu Chen who was not less surprised actually also wanted to ask but elder Li immediately broke them before he could speak.

Feeling the situation calmed down again elder Li asked them to line up. "Wait what else, kneel before me. Don't you have the same goal?"

Although a little reluctant, Sin Lou and Kyoto knelt down next to Fu Chen. The two lowered their heads and waited for Elder Li to speak.

"You came here with the same determination and the same goal. I will not formally welcome you for some reason but once you are registered as my students then you must follow my rules."

Elder Li patted each young man's shoulders three times using Fu Chen's sword. After that elder Li asked the three to get up then handed Fu Chen's sword.

"Is it a selelsai?" Sin Lou glanced at Fu Chen and Kyoto in turn, then he examined his body to see if there was a slight change.

"That's enough, all a student needs is knowledge, not a hundred or anything else." Elder Li returned to his seat leisurely.

Kyoto also felt strange, he thought that appointing a disciple would be something special but that shadow was disappearing now.

"What was our first assignment?"

Elder Li simply chuckled, "Go home, your real teacher isn't me."

"Huh?" The young men looked at each other. They really don't understand what this Old Man is talking about.

"What do you mean, Old Man? If not who are you then?" Sin Lou quickly replied.

Elder Li flicked the small lump of paper that he folded and precisely hit Sin Lou's forehead to make it imprint.

"Take a look, young man! I am an elder here," elder Li said a little coldly.

"Tomorrow morning I will take you to meet that man, with your present ability it is not necessarily that man will accept you as his disciple."

Since there was nothing else to ask, Sin Lou and Kyoto immediately came out after bowing and saluting. While Fu Chen was still staring at elder Li for a while before taking his sword and leaving.

The next morning, elder Li had prepared a horse carriage as their vehicle. Previously, Mr. Li had ordered to bring some change of clothes because he himself did not know how long they would be in the person's place.

Kyoto and Sin Lou were astonished that Fu Chen had brought nothing but a sword tucked into his waist. They were actually a bit of a penance with Fu Chen's sword but the time was not yet right to discuss that.

As the horse carriage was about to depart Fu Chen chose to sit beside the coachman, Fu Chen was a little curious how the coachman controlled the horse as he had a little trouble before.

Fu Chen's actions were then followed by Sin Lou and Kyoto leaving elder Li in a horse carriage.

Elder Li only smiled faintly and said, "The boy is becoming more alert to his surroundings."

The place that elder Li was heading to was actually still within the Sacred Sword sect, but because the Sacred Sword sect was up on top of the mountains made their journey take two hours.

When they first arrived, they were greeted by a vast wilderness like never touched by humans. There are only trails that can be passed by peacock horse carriages.

However, when entering deeper they are greeted by a neatly arranged bamboo forest and refreshing cool air. Both places are bounded by a small river with a fairly swift current.

For them, such a place can only be found in the stories commonly told by villagers.

"Are we going to stop here?" Fu Chen looked around and found no bridge to cross the river.

"Ah, look! maybe that building was the residence of the person that elder Li meant." Kyoto pointed towards the interior of the bamboo forest, where there was a house covered with many plants.

"Yes, it's the place we're headed to, we'll walk to get there." Elder Li replied from inside the carriage.

Unguidedly, Sin Lou, Kyoto and Fu Chen immediately took a swing and passed the small river in one jump. However, when their legs had just stepped on, the bodies of the three immediately fell down due to the heavy pressure that had befallen their bodies.

"What pressure is this?" Fu Chen frowned deeply enough while trying to stand up.

"This is the test before you become my students, if you can't handle the pressure then you better go home!" A hoarse voice echoed in the bamboo forest, Fu Chen and the others had searched for the source but found nothing.

"Hahaha, you always show up in unusual ways." Elder Li laughed widely as he raised his head.

A bare-chested man stood firmly on the bamboo shoots quietly, his hands crossed back while looking at the people below.
