Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.10 - Departure

Tang Shu had only arrived home after the day started to turn night. I don't know what he did all day out there. But if noticed, his face looks cleaner, and his body is a little more contained.

It was as if he had just replenished the muscles in his body. Fu Chen found out his father had just come home, but he held back his curiosity. He wanted to give his father time to rest.

Fu Chen realized that whatever his father had been doing all day, it must have been exhausting. The night also went on as usual, Tang Shu also did not offend Fu Chen's birthday at all. Fu Chen was actually quite disappointed about this, yet he kept it in his heart.

The next morning when Fu Chen wanted to ask his father about his training, it turned out that Tang Shu had already left the house early in the morning. Fu Chen felt something strange about his father's behavior lately. He finally asked his mother, but her answer remained the same, that his father still had needs to be prepared.

Fu Chen then tried to be patient and understand the circumstances first. Wild thoughts also crossed his mind several times, but he immediately dismissed all the notion that his father was avoiding him.

After four days always leave the house. Now that Tang Shu was starting to behave as usual, he also had time to take care of his garden and pet. Seeing his father return to normal, Fu Chen immediately made the most of the opportunity. He asked everything related to the training and dantian he had.

However Tang Shu again delayed to give Fu Chen an explanation. "Today prepare a horse that you think is tough enough first. Tomorrow I'll explain it to you…!"

Hearing him made Fu Chen extremely uninspired. "Oh dad, it's been almost a week since my birthday and I haven't even kept a single promise now." Fu Chen left his father with a gloomy face.

"You take it easy, this time father will keep his promise.." Tang Shu replied with a gentle smile.

That night when Fu Chen and Fu Mei were already sound asleep. The two husband and wife couples were still discussing Tang Shu's plan to leave Xin Xue within one week.

This matter they had discussed before, but Tang Shu was still hesitant to leave his wife for quite a long time.

"It's okay .Aunt Fei and Uncle Zhou will take care of both of us, you take it easy to train Fu Chen there! It's also for his own good, isn't it?" Xin Xue smiled gently and rubbed Tang Shu's cheeks.

"That's true, but Aunt Fei and brother Zhou won't be watching you all the time, I'm worried…"

Xin Xue immediately cut off her husband's words so as not to worry too much about him. After all during this time the Falling Star Village had never gotten into any trouble that threatened the lives of the residents at all.

"Please promise me that when I get home, you and Mei'er are still in the same state!" Tang Shu then extended his riveting finger before Xin Xue.

"Yes. sure, you are too.." Xin Xue greeted Tang Shu's little finger with the same finger while smiling gently.

Tang Shu's face was slightly brighter afterwards, though,

"Alright then, I'll go to brother Zhou's house first. I heard his son also wants to come train with me."

"Don't come home too late, tomorrow you have to get up early to bring Fu Chen to practice!"

Tang Shu who was already standing up and was about to step over immediately stopped his intentions.

"Hm? Hahaha... I guess you just don't want to waste this last chance do you? You know, even if I don't sleep it's not a problem for me." Tang Shu smiled meaningfully, then walked over to his wife. Xin Xue did not answer Tang Shu's question, she just smiled gently with slightly blushing cheeks.

Tang Shu then kissed Xin Xue on the forehead before rubbing her head slowly. "You take it easy, it won't be long!"

Xin Xue nodded and saw her husband step away.

***

In the morning Tang Shu and Fu Chen had set off for the place Tang Shu had determined. The two of them rode a horse previously chosen by Fu Chen with Tang Shu as the rider and Fu chen sitting in front of him.

Despite having several horses at home, Fu Chen was unable to ride any horses at all. Though for a swordsman though, the horse is a fairly important mount for long trips, although many also prefer to walk with the science of lightening their bodies.

"Dad, why isn't Sin Lou coming? Didn't you say you'd take her too?" Fu Chen raised his head to look at his father who was behind him.

"Dad Sin Lou still hasn't allowed him to leave. Last night my father approached Sin Zhou to give him permission. It's just that Sin Zhou said that Sin Lou still has some things to work out…"

Tang Shu actually did not mind if Sin Lou did come along, even though he would say some things that no one else should know. But Tang Shu's trust in Sin Lou was as great as Sin Zhou's.

"I think Sin Lou's gonna be so tormented in there, you know? He even begged me to take him away secretly from there." Fu Chen said, feeling concerned for his friend.

"Then do you obey him?" Tang Shu glanced at his son.

Fu Chen shook his head with a still forward look. "Of course not, he who already knew the place couldn't even escape, let alone the place being so crowded.I would be caught off guard if I really did that."

Tang Shu smiled hearing that. "Aren't you afraid of the training I'm going to give you?"

Tang Shu felt confident that her son would not give up despite all kinds of difficulties.

"No! I will try my hardest to show that my dantian is not flawed!" Fu Chen said firmly. His determination has been unanimous to train as hard as possible until it crosses the stamina limit he has.

"Oiya... Dad hasn't explained about my dantian yet, has he?" Fu Chen only realized that his father had not even touched on the matter of dantian at all.

"Later tonight I'll explain, besides our journey is still far away. We still have plenty of time to talk about it." Suhut Tang Shu while spurting his horse faster.

Their destination was a hill quite far from the village. The journey to the hill also takes about two days by riding a horse.

Tang Shu had previously used the body lightening science he had to get to those hills with about five hours. Tang Shu's level of strength was also high enough to be able to keep running for that long. Currently he was at the level of a middle-stage Swordsman King, of course running for five hours every day was not a problem for him.

The two of them continued their journey while pounding and without feeling the night began to pick up the two. Tang Shu decided to rest on the outskirts of the forest so as not to be too dangerous.

Tang Shu then began to light a fire from a wood that was rubbed against the dry leaves. He also did not forget to teach that to Fu Chen. Although simple, but the way is quite effective if you are staying overnight in the forest.

There was no tent brought by Tang Shu, since Tang Shu wanted after exiting the Village then he would start educating Fu Chen right then and there. He wanted to introduce to Fu Chen how the swordsman lives out there while traveling.

While enjoying the dry bread in his hand, Fu Chen again asked about the Dantian he had.

"Eh. I'm confused where to start." Tang Shu scratched his nape, because indeed what was to be discussed was a slightly complicated matter.

"Did you not really understand this?" Fu Chen did not expect more from his father at first, but he only wanted to know the truth whether his dantian was flawed or not.

"That's not it.." Tang Shu paused his words for a moment before sighing resignedly.

"Well, I'll say it.. Do you believe your father was a swordsman?" Tang Shu was a little reluctant to say it. But he was also confused how to explain to his son, about the way he knew the dantian owned by Fu Chen.

He could not have said it came from a merchant who accidentally knew about it. Fu Chen who heard his father's statement was obviously in disbelief. How could the figure of his meek father be that of a swordsman.

"Can you prove it to me?" Fu Chen obviously did not want to be played with by his father at this time.

Seeing Fu Chen's so serious gaze at her made Tang Shu only be able to sigh. "Alright, watch this carefully." Tang Shu then gathered the qi energy in his palm, until it slowly formed a fireball the size of an adult man's fist in his palm.

Fu Chen who saw it almost forgot to even breathe, his heart paused for a moment before returning to beat faster. "W-how…. This isn't true, is it…?" Fu Chen was surprised.

He clearly did not believe what he saw. Moreover, it is a change of type that is quite difficult to do. He was actually just hoping that his father would hit one of the trees around him to prove his point.

Fu Chen clutched his own hair firmly, his head started to ache at the thought of the reality he had just obtained. There was no sense of pride at all that he showed, everything was as a dream to him.

Tang Shu did not mind that, he had also expected that his son would be very surprised. What he had in mind right now was how to explain to Fu Chen about his past.

Because according to him, Fu Chen's current age was still too young to know the facts about him.

Fu Chen who was already too dizzy finally fell unconscious, Tang Shu immediately caught him and laid him down on the grass. He still questioned whether the decision he took was right or not.
