Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.43 - Seizure

Two days had passed since the chase that night. However, this did not mean that Meng Tian and Meng Zhi were getting better. Both fell ill as a result of bad weather in the cold of the night.

Anxiety was also etched on General Jia Lu's face. He even deployed a scout force to search for information on the state of the imperial capital Meng, while awaiting Meng Tian's recovery.

"How is this General? Should we inform the Emperor immediately?" Ask the Commander of the army to Jia Lu.

"We don't know exactly what's going on. We should wait for Prince Tian to wake up to ask the situation." Jia Lu sighed.

The past few months have seen a lot of reports of chaos in Meng's reign. General Jia Lu was actually able to guess what happened, yet he did not want to deduce it too quickly.

Jia Lu and the commander of the troops checked every report given by the soldiers. All the information they received had nothing to do with the case of Prince Tian. It made Jia Lu rub his forehead thinking about the possibility that happened.

In that silence, someone knocked on General Jia Lu's study.

A servant in charge of taking care of Meng Tian and her sister entered the room after being allowed to enter. "Prince Tian has regained consciousness, he is currently in his room."

Jia Lu's face instantly turned bright, a fresh breeze as if it was hitting him. "Attar me there!" General Jia Lu walked up to Meng Tian with a big smile. The weight felt a little lifted.

General Jia Lu opened the door to Meng Tian's room slowly. He saw the figure of Meng Tian looking at the forest outside the window with a blank look. It seemed like Meng Tian's mind was not there.

"Prince?" Call Jia Lu slowly for not wanting to surprise Meng Tian.

Meng Tian turned his head and the look on his face changed slightly. He tried to smile despite being forced. "General Jia Lu... How is my brother?"

"He's fine, it's just that he's unconscious." Reply General Jia Lu and sit beside Meng Tian's bed.

"That's it.." muttered Meng Tian softly, "thank you for helping us General. I don't know where to go but to this border."

"Don't hesitate," General Jia Lu noticed Meng Tian's body was covered in wounds, he suspected that the wound was because Meng Tian had hacked into the sharp grasses in the forest that night. General Jia Lu was amazed by Meng Tian's persistence without caring about the wounds on his body.

In that instantaneous silence, Meng Tian began to talk about the conditions in the Imperial Capital Meng. It seemed like he understood the difficulty General Jia Lu had experienced in these few days.

Meng Tian recounts the beginning of the coup that his brother did because the Emperor who is his own father will bequeath his throne to Himself. Meng Tian's father understood very well that Prince Guanji was no match for the leader.

In contrast to Meng Tian who was very smart in taking care of various imperial affairs. Prince Guanji is a talented figure in the martial world. However, his ambitious attitude made Emperor Meng worried about the future state of his country.

But the Emperor's decision led to an inevitable disaster. Prince Guanji, who was in a fit of rage, left the palace and joined a large group of black people in Meng Empire.

The group of course welcomed Prince Guanji with joy. They know that this one Prince has big ambitions, so they can control it from behind the scenes.

A few months after Prince Guanji's departure from the palace, a commotion began to appear in every corner of the empire. The warriors and the imperial army worked together to eradicate any chaos created by the same group as Prince Guanji.

The group even continued to grow bigger every time they launched the action. They recruited many warriors and small groups in the black stream. There were even some white-flow sects who took refuge behind the group's shade.

The group then became more and more so, they not only made a mess in the cities but instead attacked the big sects and seized the heirlooms of the sect.

The group's goal was none other than to strengthen themselves before attacking the Capital City. Emperor Meng who was in office was furious and angry. He was devoting a lot of resources to the sect that was willing to help him, but that did not make his side any better.

On the group's first attack on the capital, they managed to kill nearly a quarter of the imperial army and kill all the concubines as well as the empress. The incident made Emperor Meng unable to think clearly.

So that on their second attack to the Capital City, the group along with Prince Guanji managed to kill Emperor Meng.

At that time General Ji Furan who was in charge of guarding Meng Tian and his sister brought them to escape. But because of the many injuries he got from the previous fight made General Ji Furan unable to move freely.

Meng Tian, who saw General Ji Furan sacrificing himself to confront the enemy who was chasing them, decided to take his younger brother to the border of the Song Empire. The place where he is currently.

General Jia Lu gnashed his teeth upon hearing Meng Tian's story. He did not expect that Prince Guanji would stage a coup by cooperating with a black sect.

General Jia Lu understood this situation would be very influential, even for their empire. The ambitious Prince Guanji is sure to expand in the near future.

"It's really fucked up. I didn't expect Prince Guanji to go that far." General Jia Lu muttered as he clenched his hand. But Meng Tian could still hear General Jia Lu muttering.

Meng Tian looked out the window again, his gaze blank. It was too soon, he did not even have time to grieve and cry at all.

General Jia Lu who saw Meng Tian's condition felt the need to let him calm down first. That must have been very hard for him.

"Break the Rest of Prince Tian! I'll report this to the Emperor soon. I hope he lets you stay in his country."

"Thank you General Jia.." Meng Tian said with a gentle smile.

While in another place, precisely in an isatana hall that is quite spacious. A 20-year-old was seen banging on his kneeling subordinates.

The young man looked so angry at the failure of his subordinates. He was Prince Guanji, behind him was someone wearing a pure white robe with a hint of gold.

While the middle-aged man he was angry with was the head of the group that was chasing after Meng Tian. The leader of the group could only hold his anger in his heart because of the figure behind prince Guanji.

He had just arrived at the palace a moment ago and was immediately questioned about his duties without being given any rest.

Prince Guanji had just pulled out his sword intending to slash the useless subordinate before him, but was immediately stopped by the white-robed figure behind him.

"That's Prince. The boy will not be able to take your throne back, he has no power to ask the emperor Song for help." Said the figure while lowering the sword in Guanji's hand. "You better prepare yourself for your coronation tomorrow. You have to look stunning in front of your people!"

Prince Guanji clucked in annoyance, but he confirmed the figure's remark. "Alright, you take care of this useless son of a bitch." Guanji left the hall after saying so.

The white-robed figure smiled faintly. Making the leader of the chase group cold sweat.

"Hamba beg the patriarch.please forgive me!" the leader of the group half shouted.

"Do you dare raise your voice before me?" The cloaked figure asked coldly. But he didn't let the person he was asking answer. He shook his hand and immediately the neck of the leader of the pursuing group was severed.

Blood soaked the floor around the lifeless body belonging to the group leader. Without even being told some soldiers and maids there immediately cleaned it up and brought the corpse out.

"Next I just need to find the heirloom that person wants." The white-robed figure looked displeased as he said so.
