Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.61 - A Brief Talk

Xiao Jung sat on the chair that was in the living room. He told Fu Chen to sit down but was immediately rejected by the young man. With his clothes still dirty, Fu Chen felt uncomfortable to sit on the chair that looked quite luxurious.

"Just eat the food here Chen'er. Do not hesitate, think of it as your own home.." Xiao Jung offered a snack that had been on the table since the beginning. Xiao Jung was actually acting as if he was the host over there.

After waiting for a while, the Mayor finally appeared in a slight hurry. Xiao Jung only glanced at him for a moment before continuing his meal.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, young master. I have to clean up before I see you." The mayor smiled awkwardly then sat down opposite Xiao Jung.

Although he was a mayor, but all that he got because of the support given by the Xiao family. Most of the businesses in Tiemao City were also under the auspices of the family, he was nothing more than an employee.

"No problem" Xiao Jung replied, he quickly handed over the evidence of the robbery victims outside.

"There were a lot of casualties from one of the Black Bear headquarters we went to. I will give this information to the Holy Sword Sect as soon as possible so that they move their disciples. I hope the Mayor is willing to help me by taking these victims to their homes, or just providing them with a place to live.

I hope the Mayor tells your residents to be careful when traveling. I'm counting on you in this business."

The mayor noticed some data that Xiao Jung had previously made during the trip. "Of course, I will do well" the Mayor said with a meaningful smile.

"I'd like to hear a report about a Black Bear member who was arrested a few days ago. I'm sure those merchants must have handed it to you, right?"

He could say it with confidence since this city was the closest city that the merchant could approach. It was impossible if those merchants dared to take the Black Bear members for longer because it would be very risky.

Xiao Jung only wanted to make sure that the Hang Xie troupe had actually reached this city.

The mayor gulped his saliva, a hint of cold sweat appeared on his forehead area. "Yes, they did hand it to me, I've paid them too. Young master need not worry." The mayor tried to smile.

Xiao Jung slightly sighed, he resuscitated his body on the chair and closed his eyes. "Where are they being held? I want to see them."

The mayor coughed softly, then smiled awkwardly, before saying, "They are no longer here, sir. I have handed them over to the Imperial soldiers who happened to stop by in this City."

Xiao Jung was astonished, even to the point that his forehead was wrinkled. He and Fu Chen had only come to the Black Bear headquarters in a single day. If you think about it, maybe the merchant party that brought Hang Xie and his group arrived two days before he arrived.

Xiao Jung did not expect that there would be Imperial soldiers in this small town, but all became possible if the Mayor directly reported Hang Xie to the soldier.

The Mayor's face began to look scared when Xiao Jung changed his position, as much as possible he tried to calm himself.

"Then I'll step down, my business here is done." Xiao Jung stood up and walked out, but the Mayor's voice made him stop his steps.

"You can rest in my place, young master. I'll have the servants clean your clothes." The mayor wanted to make sure that Xiao Jung returned from his residence feeling happy.

"No need to bother. I'm planning to take this friend of mine to see your city." Xiao Jung then immediately left from there.

Fu Chen had only been watching the Mayor, the views of the two then met for a while before Fu Chen tailed behind Xiao Jung.

"Where are we going after this, senior?" fu Chen asked as the two had gone outside.

"We'll rest in this town for a few days, I also have a little business with my family's branch here."

Fu Chen nodded and stroked his chin, perhaps this was also a chance for him to train. During this mission he did not have time to do so.

"Ah, right. I have to see Ying'er for a second." Fu Chen immediately approached the girl when he accidentally remembered her. Xiao Jung followed behind with a leisurely walk.

"Young master.." The middle-aged man guarding Ying'er bowed his body. His words made Chu Ying turn his head to see who that uncle was referring to.

Fu Chen smiled gently then touched the girl's head. "How many times have I told you, don't call Master! Call Just brother."

"I-iya.." Chu Ying replied a little timidly.

Fu Chen stood with his knees as a pedestal. He slightly tidied up the girl's hair.

"Ying'er, from now on you should be with this uncle, yes. The mayor will take Ying'er home, so we'll meet again at the Capital." As much as Fu Chen could not make this girl sad if he knew he had to part with her. It was also impossible for her to take Chu Ying with her which would probably put her in danger.

"I don't want to, I want to go with brother!" Chu Ying looked displeased, he seemed to understand that Fu Chen's words were a farewell to him.

"Ying'er, sister's journey is still very far away and dangerous. What if Ying'er gets hurt? Ying'er's parents will definitely blame big brother. Big brother promised to see Ying'er after sister's business is done." Fu Chen smiled wryly not knowing anymore how to deal with this girl.

Chu Ying shook his head with a face that was parched, making Fu Chen become dazed. He glanced at Xiao Jung with the intention of asking for help. However, Xiao Jung simply raised his hands and shoulders as if handing over all the decisions in Fu Chen's hands.

Fu Chen also glanced towards the uncle who had been guarding Chu Ying, but the uncle immediately turned his gaze when he noticed Fu Chen's gaze.

Fu Chen sighed knowing there was no other choice. In retrospect, this girl became a little troublesome. "Alright, Ying'er can come. But remember! Ying'er must follow what big brother said after this!" fu Chen said limply.

Chu Ying nodded his head quickly then smiled widely.

Fu Chen thrust his back intending to carry the girl, he had no idea how far away the inn Xiao Jung was referring to. There was no way he would allow this little girl to walk.

Chu Ying was very excited then immediately went up. Fu Chen brought him closer to Xiao Jung, they continued on their way to the inn afterwards.

On that trip, Xiao Jung occasionally glanced towards Chu Ying. This young man was very anxious at the little girl, he felt less fortunate because all his younger siblings were men.

"Hey-. Ekhem, I mean Ying'er. Don't you want to be carried by uncle? Uncle is taller than him, it would definitely be more fun to be with uncle.." Xiao Jung tried to persuade Chu Ying once again, he felt envious that the girl had always chosen Fu Chen. His face was no less handsome.

Chu Ying did not reply, he simply swung his lips then shook his head with his eyes tightly closed.

"Come on, just for a second…"

"…"

"Look, uncle has candy, you want?"

"…"

"Are you hungry? Uncle will buy you anything you want as long as it's uncle who holds Ying'er…"

No matter how many times Xiao Jung tried, the result was still the same. The girl did not even glance at what Xiao Jung had to offer.

Fu Chen who saw the behavior of his senior only smiled wryly and sped up his pace when he saw the sign that read the inn.

They were greeted by a servant when the three entered. However, the servant's face turned pale and frightened. Fu Chen frowned noticing that, he noticed his shirt and there was indeed a slight spot of blood, yet it was already dry.

Fu Chen then glanced towards Xiao Jung and finally understood the reason this servant became afraid. Although the blood on Xiao Jung's shirt had dried, it was still very much and it was very uncomfortable to look at.

"Does this inn have washing services? We will rent it to wash our clothes," Fu Chen asked with an awkward smile.

The servant nodded his head and then allowed the three to enter carefully.
