Ch.123 - First Steps

Fu Chen mused over every piece of information he got from the few books inside the wooden box. The books contained a lot of information about the Central continent, Tang Shu seemed to place high hopes on Fu Chen.

Fu Chen had not been able to grasp the entire information, he himself had not gotten a clear picture of what the Central continent really was like. Amongst the pile of books, there was a flat object wrapped in white cloth that caught Fu Chen's attention.

When opening it turns out the contents behind the white cloth is a golden badge, the badge has a shape like a shield with a sword standing upright in the middle. The name of the Tang clan was seen curved under the sword hilt, then around it were several shades in red and white.

"This.." Fu Chen muttered, as he lifted the badge, it felt quite heavy, probably because the material used was pure gold.

"That badge will make it easier for you to show your identity and work with the people your father showed you, it looks like he's prepared everything in the first place." Dou Huang noticed the badge, he felt familiar with its form and characteristics.

Fu Chen clasped the badge firmly, even after his death Tang Shu still had a big role to play in guiding Fu Chen. Fu Chen felt his heart burn even more to seek the mastermind of his family's murder.

Fu Chen then asked Dou Huang how long it would take him to recover his soul strength back. Fu Chen wanted to leave this forest immediately, he felt his strength now was enough to protect himself from the outside world.

"Teacher, do you have any way to hide my powers?" ask Fu Chen.

Dou Huang slightly raised his eyebrows, "That's an easy thing, but what are you doing it for?"

Fu Chen smiled widely, he said he would return to the sect for some time. Perhaps Fu Chen could not train here anymore, he also felt less comfortable with Feng Bian these days.

"So you want to carry out your father's trust? Well I don't care if you don't forget your true purpose." Dou Huang also agreed with Fu Chen's plan, although Feng Bian's cave held a lot of qi energy but Fu Chen had to gain a lot of experience from the outside world.

Fu Chen then took out the heirloom in the form of a black jade bracelet. The jade bracelet immediately adjusted its size as Fu Chen tried to wear it. Fu Chen could sense that he could at will suppress his strength to a certain degree.

"Hais... Why do I always feel that this boy's talent is higher than mine?" Dou Huang sighed softly, in his former life he had almost never heard of a Combat General hiding their strength. Generally, the warriors even show off each other's strength and intimidation to others.

Fu Chen took a deep breath, he opened once again his father's death note to look for important information about the Ye family.

Fu Chen walked into the cave that was filled with huge holes. He had spent a week carefully devising a plan, also looking for an excuse for Li Chun to let him take on a new mission.

Feng Bian glanced at Fu Chen from the corner of his eyes cynically, he still held a grudge against this one human for having damaged his residence. Feng Bian still did not move from his position, it seemed like the fox had quite a severe injury.

Fu Chen gulped for a moment, he was a little insecure to speak to Feng Biang considering that the fox was in a bad mood. While the Dou Huang who had also woken up chose to wait outside, he had devised a plan in case the fox did not obey Fu Chen.

"What else are you looking for in my place?" Feng Bian narrowed his eyes.

Fu Chen's hands clenched tightly to gather his faded courage, "Did you still remember my promise the other day?"

"Haha!!!" Feng Bian laughed out loud, "Look! Are the ears on your head just jewelry? I'm a Magical beast that is hunted by millions of warriors in the world, you think I'd be willing to follow you?!"

Fu Chen sharpened his gaze, it seemed that Feng Bian was really offended by his words just now, "I didn't say that you should follow me. But I will go with you to circumnavigate the world as a fellow-!"

"Enough!" Feng Bian snorted, the look in his eyes slightly changed, "If you want to leave then leave, before I change my mind and eat you here…! If you really want to make me your partner, then come back when you feel your strength is enough to match me!"

Feng Bian's gaze suddenly turned cold, a murderous air started seeping from his small body. Feng Bian did not mess with his words this time.

Fu Chen gulped his saliva violently, but the look in his eyes signified that his determination was not diminished. Fu Chen then bowed to pay his respects.

"As you wish. I promise I'll make you shine again in the martial world!" Fu Chen then turned his body and left Feng Bian, his gaze straight ahead, indicating his determination was not a mere boon.

Unknowingly Feng Bian's lips appeared to be smiling faintly, as if expecting the young man to keep his words.

Outside, Dou Huang seemed to already know the answer that Fu Chen had gotten. He also put up a wide grin and immediately approached Fu Chen.

"Son, I want to borrow one of your hands for a second, can you give it to me?" pinta Dou Huang hid the smile on his face.

"Eh? My hand?" Fu Chen frowned, Dou Huang's speech sounded a little ambiguous.

"Yes, just point your hand that holds the Earth ring to the mouth of the cave, then you listen to the instructions!"

Fu Chen swallowed his saliva for a moment before nodding slowly, it seemed like Dou Huang was planning to do something to the cave.

Dou Huang nodded in satisfaction as Fu Chen complied, he then held onto Fu Chen's left arm while closing his eyes, then said, "Close your eyes, close your eyes, and when you hear this strange sound of cliffs, run as fast as you can!"

Fu Chen's frown deepened, but before he could speak suddenly an enormous amount of qi energy entered his left hand. Fu Chen's left hand was numb and difficult to control.

On the other hand, the cave that had been in Feng Bian's residence seemed to be sucked by Fu Chen's left hand. The incident lasted for a few seconds, after everything was finished, the location of the previous cave had been replaced by a large rectangular hole.

A few moments later, there was a loud rumbling sound that made Fu Chen open his eyes. How shocked Fu Chen was when he saw that the huge cliff was showing signs of collapse.

"What are you daydreaming about? Quick run from here?"

The Dou Huang's clash made Fu Chen come to a realization, without a second thought he immediately moved away as fast as he could. Dou Huang himself continued to laugh out loud as he floated on Fu Chen's shoulders.

The sound of a landslide rang out behind them, many trees were uprooted by the cliff avalanche. The forest was filled with thick dust for a while.

Fu Chen immediately stopped his steps when he felt that he had gotten quite far from the cliff. He climbed into a tree to see what was going on.

The location of the previous cave was completely buried by the avalanche from the cliff, some wild animals and birds were also seen away from the landslide location. Fu Chen was increasingly curious about what Dou Huang was doing until such a huge landslide occurred.

"Teacher, what did you just do?" Fu Chen felt the need to know the truth.

Dou Huang again laughed out loud at Fu Chen's question, "I moved the cave into the Earth ring.This is a small lesson for that overbearing Little Fox, hahaha…"
