Ch.117 - Feng Bian and Dou Huang

The group of little children who had previously been sheltering under the old peach tree began to disperse themselves one by one. While the middle-aged woman who accompanied them told him a story was just speechless looking at him.

"Hey! Where are you guys going?" A little girl who seemed worried about the middle-aged woman, she tried to stop her friends who began to stay away.

"I want to go home, hearing the teacher's story makes me sleepy" said the other girl, waving her hand.

"But the teacher is not finished!"

"Already Jie'er.. Let them go, you should also come home, the day is getting late." The middle-aged woman rubbed the head of the girl named Jie Anxie while smiling gently.

Jie Anxie looked at her teacher wryly, she still wanted to hear her teacher's story but the day seemed to go too fast, "What about tonight, teacher? Would the teacher want to continue the story again?"

The woman chuckled, "Yes, yes, come to the teacher's house tonight, the teacher will tell you everything until you fall asleep…"

Jie Anxie got even more excited, "Then I'll see you tonight, dawah!" Jie Anxie waved her hand then sped up the pace and caught up with her friends.

The middle-aged woman took a deep breath while smiling faintly, "You gave me a very heavy mandate, teacher." said the woman before disappearing along with a gust of wind.

Fu Chen was silent on one side of the cave while looking at the two strange creatures in front of him. Fu Chen did not understand what they were talking about at all, the two looked hostile yet at the same time they felt quite close.

From the second conversation Fu Chen could tell that they had lived since 3000 years ago, an era in which a battle took place involving four continents at once. Fu Chen did not know what the cause was but the two creatures were involved in the war.

Fu Chen was unable to see the white creature that appeared out of nowhere, his eyes only fixated on a small two-tailed fox with a strange mark on his forehead. Fu Chen could hardly believe that it was the fox that had invited him to speak some time ago.

"Dou Huang? You should have died in that war!" furious at the fox with a sharp gaze, his aura disappeared unceasingly due to the existence of a white creature called Dou Huang.

Dou Huang smiled faintly, "This is what is called fate, maybe you managed to escape then but now I will not let you off!"

The fox laughed widely for a while but his eyes turned even colder afterwards, "How pitiful are you Dou Huang! Are you still a puppet of the Gods until now?"

Dou Huang grinned widely at her, "What if it were, Little Fox?"

The fury of the fox named Feng Bian was overflowing, "Stop calling me Little Fox, you son of a bitch! You're not much better than me!" Feng Bian felt that this matter would not end so easily.

Actually Feng Bian was still in a slumped state at the moment, he lost his strength due to the 3000 battle that year ago, resulting in his body shrinking and his energy core cracking severely.

Feng Bian struggled to gather his strength back then, until he was forced to flee to the corners of the world as warriors continued to hunt him down.

Feng Bian was one of the many Magical Beasts in this world, one might think he was dead but Feng Bian was actually hiding somewhere while recovering his condition.

Feng Bian had only managed to recover his fractured energy core after a thousand years. Feng Bian was in great distress at this time because no one who could help him even all of his resources had been used up.

While trying to re-explore in the Central continent, Feng Bian was forced to face dozens of great warriors of the time. Feng Bian managed to defeat them but his energy core leaked back and this time was even more severe.

Feng Bian felt that everything was getting harder to overcome, the warriors began to form alliances to hunt him down. At the time of all the sufferers, Feng Bian chose to go back to hiding until he completely recovered.

Unfortunately Feng Bian did not have enough strength and resources to recover his condition as before. As much as Feng Bian absorbed natural energy it would all seep out and that energy would solidify to form a crystal.

Luckily the clash did not last long as Dou Huang was quick to withdraw his aura once aware of Fu Chen's state, Feng Bian also immediately withdrew his aura shortly after Dou Huang for not wanting his energy to be drained.

"Hahaha.. Are you sure you want to fight me with your power?" Dou Huang stroked his beard with a wide smile.

"What's your real purpose?" Feng Bian felt he had no chance to fight back because his strength was now only at the level of an intermediate stage Sakti swordsman.

Dou Huang stroked his beard while looking at Feng Bian with a happy smile. Feng Biang's tail was a clue regarding his strength, Dou Huang clearly remembered his first encounter with this fox, back then he had eight tails with marks on his forehead still burning.

Dou Huang felt pity as well as happiness, this was a great opportunity to contract with a Magical Beast, unfortunately the contract was not for him, but Fu Chen.

"Don't I tell you that this time I won't let you go. But before that, I'd like to hear your reasons why you're wiping out some of this child's humanity?" Dou Huang pointed at Fu Chen.

Feng Bian glanced at Fu Chen and Dou Huang alternately before grimacing softly, "You should have understood without me even telling you," Feng Bian said coldly.

"So right.." Dou Huang shook his head slowly.

Dou Huang had expected something strange to Fu Chen when this child easily took a human life without any guilt afterwards. Dou Huang thought it was the act of a figure who possessed Fu Chen a while ago.

Dou Huang finally understood now, Feng Biang probably intended to control Fu Chen and seize his body when the young man had already fallen into the darkness. Feng Bian did not know that there was one more soul residing in the young man's body.

Fu Chen could hear the conversation of the two while adjusting his hunting breath. Fu Chen's gaze locked on Dou Huang who had been looking at him for a while, the figure reminded him of the strange incident that had happened to him when attacking the Black Bear group headquarters a few months ago.

"I will forget what you have done to him, but on one condition," Dou Huang twisted his body and approached Feng Bian, "I want you to establish a contract with this brat!"

"Hehe..." Feng Bian chuckled, "Why should I obey your words?" he continued, smiling cynically.

"Because your life is in my hands!" Dou Huang suddenly disappeared and re-appeared beside Feng Bian while saying coldly.

Feng Bian was speechless a thousand languages, he knew Dou Huang was not joking at the moment. Actually Feng Bian had high self-esteem therefore he always refused to establish relations with humans, and Dou Huang also knew that.

So far Feng Bian had only been bound by one person in the past and that person was one of the causes of the great war 3000 years ago. Dou Huang was also aware of it, although it was very dangerous to bond with him but he did not want to lose this golden opportunity.

After being silent for some time Feng Bian finally took a decision that made him have to sigh deeply. He did have high self-esteem but it seems that Feng Bian was a little aware, his life was much more important at this time, he did not want to end miserably in this cave.

"Let's see if he's worth it or not!" Feng Bian smiled faintly, maybe this could be an opportunity to snatch the child's body.

Dou Huang laughed softly, "You wouldn't have expected it after touching the child's body…"

"Alright Young man, prepare yourself for this contract!" continued Dou Huang while smiling meaningfully at Fu Chen.

"Huh, huh? Wh-what? You talk to me?" Fu Chen who was intending to snatch away gasped, quickly controlling his expression which began to panic.

"Of course, who else if not you. I'll give you a present, so be prepared!"

"Huh…?"

Fu Chen shuddered in horror at the two strange creatures smiling meaningfully at him, 'Did I make a mistake? They're not gonna eat me, are they?' thought Fu Chen while letting out a cold sweat.
