Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.94 - Li Chun and the Sect Guards

The man who looked to be 60 years old floated for a while before descending towards elder Li slowly. Elder Li greeted him with a warm smile but unfortunately the man was just grinning softly.

While the pressure that befell Fu Chen and the others was still not dissipating, Fu Chen was forced to help Sin Lou and Kyoto to stand upright again.

Fu Chen was very curious as to who was talking to elder Li yet to turn his head alone was quite difficult due to that pressure. Fu Chen could only see a hint of the man's back, his brown skin as if it was burning by the sun.

"You should have listened to my advice to see the outside world. Look at you now! You look like a Goa man." Elder Li laughed widely then talked about the abilities of Fu Chen and the others.

Elder Li advised to train the three young men well. Especially Fu Chen, the boy was a little special both in background and ability.

"I'll wait for you at the residence." Elder Li pointed towards the house that had a distance of about 100 meters from the outskirts of the bamboo forest.

Elder Li and the man beside him then jumped between the bamboo twigs before finally arriving at the courtyard of the house in a matter of seconds. Fu Chen was so stunned, he had just seen the science of lightening such a great body, let alone the movements of elder Li and the man beside him did not make the slightest sound.

Despite Fu Chen, Sin Lou and Kyoto still struggle to step foot with great difficulty. The ground that was not too hard made the soles of their feet sink slightly to make them even harder to walk.

Together, Fu Chen was forced to divide his power to help Sin Lou and Kyoto so that they could maintain their position.

"So that's the kid you mean?" The man named Li Chun asked after receiving a letter from elder Li a few days earlier.

"What do you think?" Elder Li smiled faintly as he glanced at Fu Chen.

"Hm. his ability is decent, I slightly hope he leaves his partner who is a burden. Because beating up a selfish kid like that is a little more satisfying." Li Chun seemed to have his own reasons for saying it.

Elder Li just laughed softly at hearing that, he had taught Fu Chen tolerance ever since the boy had met him, so such a thing was impossible.

While spending time waiting for Fu Chen and the others, elder Li invited Li Chun to play chess. At first Li Chun refused but when elder Li whispered something he immediately looked furious and accepted elder Li's challenge.

The day started to go by, but the three young men had only reached midway between the Li Chun residence and the outside of the bamboo forest. Sin Lou and Kyoto were forced to throw away items they felt were unnecessary to reduce the burden.

The deeper they went, the greater the pressure, Kyoto almost fell several times, but Fu Chen and Sin Lou managed to break it.

The three of them had just arrived at Li Chun's residence in the evening. All three collapsed with intermittent breathing, the sweat that kept flowing made their clothes drenched to cause an unpleasant odor.

"Ki-we arrived.." Fu Chen said softly and tried to breathe as much fresh air as possible. While Sin Lou and Kyoto were not strong enough to speak, they could only try to maintain consciousness.

"Haha.this is your 20th defeat for today." Elder Li laughed widely while stroking his long beard, elder Li put down his pawn and made Li Chun die a step. Elder Li greatly enjoyed this game as he was far superior to Li Chun.

"Haha.. childish!" elder Li smiled faintly at what Li Chun would do to his own prospective student.

"It seems you guys have fought hard." Li Chun then extended his right hand into the air, within seconds a thin light shot out from his palm until the light fell on the three youths below.

The bodies of Fu Chen, Sin Lou and Kyoto shone for a while until the beam disappeared as Li Chun pulled his hand back.

"That's enough to get you guys back on the move." Li Chun said slowly.

Fu Chen felt his body slightly powered up from before, although it still felt tired yet this was enough to be able to stand up and walk.

"Others you waiting for? Quickly clean your bodies and make a fire for tonight!" Li Chun stared intently at Fu Chen, Sin Lou and Kyoto until the three shuddered in horror.

They then immediately left but not long after the three returned to their original place because they did not know the location of the bath in the residence. After being told by Li Chun they immediately cleaned themselves and collected firewood.

The three were a little surprised because the previous pressure was no longer felt when looking for firewood. They guessed that Li Chun had deliberately removed that pressure because they had already managed to enter. However, Fu Chen assumed that the pressure only applied to foreigners who intended to approach this residence.

Regardless of that at least they managed to gather enough firewood to last the entire night. They made a bonfire in the courtyard of Li Chun's residence and when the fire was over Li Chun came with elder Li while carrying two chickens.

"You must be wondering who this guy really is, right? asked Elder Li then started roasting the chicken he had seasoned.

Fu Chen, Sin Lou and Kyoto looked at each other for a moment before nodding slowly. They were curious because Li Chun looked very close to elder Li, especially the ability to lighten his body which was on par with the first elder.

Elder Li then began to tell about his relationship with Li Chun, both of whom were the original descendants of the founder of the Holy Sword sect which is now one of the most despicable sects in the Song Empire.

Li Chun was Li's 2nd elder brother, while his first younger brother had died on their journey to the Central continent. Although Li Chun looks like a 60-year-old man, the man has actually reached 100 years old.

Li Chun used some of his qi energy to maintain his appearance. He simply did not want his well-groomed body to be destroyed at the eating of age.

This bamboo forest was a place that he cared for long ago, his biggest reason for not staying among sect members was because of his duty as a sect protector.

Elder Li was actually also a sect protector yet the two of them had different roles. Li Chun would only appear in the event of a major attack on the Holy Sword sect, while elder Li would have to raise his name in the martial world in order for people to hesitate to attack their sect.

The two agreed to give the post of Sect Leader to someone else and that person was Feng Youxin. All matters concerning development and others will be taken care of by him.

Feng Youxin was actually the best student of his generation, in addition, he was also one of the disciples of Li Chun and could be said if he was the second disciple of Li Chun because before Li Chun had received one more disciple.
