Ch.95 - It's Just Getting Started

Fu Chen, Sin Lou and Kyoto were very surprised to hear the explanation of elder Li. They did not expect that the person who looked stronger than Elder Li was actually his own sister.

When elder Li finished telling his relationship with Li Chun, Fu Chen immediately asked about the strength of the two. Fu Chen wanted to know how powerful a protector of the Sacred Sword sect was.

Elder Li just laughed softly hearing that. "A person's ability is not always measured by how much strength. In some situations, a great power would be useless against a genius." Elder Li smiled faintly as he glanced at Li Chun.

Li Chun only snorted softly, his strength was indeed one level above elder Li but for matters of strategy and other things he still had a lot to learn.

Li Chun then said that the two of them were in the Holy Swordsman realm, which was where not many middle sects like the Sacred Sword sect had more than one Holy Swordsman.

Actually Fu Chen was a little curious as to the reason why elder Li did not want to be their teacher directly. yet Fu Chen did not want to look too concerned at the moment, therefore he asked Sin Lou to ask him.

Elder Li said that he did not have the skills to lower his knowledge or teach martial techniques. Elder Li can only teach simple things and just give advice.

Elder Li had even raised disciples several times but none of them he considered, some of them he handed over to Li Chun while others chose to stop.

"Ck, so he's been tricking me from the start." Sin Lou grumbled inwardly as he stared intently at elder Li.

While spending time, elder Li began to tell about his experiences in the martial world and how to deal with the people in it. Not only the elder Li but Li Chun also shared his interesting experience.

The three young men listened enthusiastically, not knowing that the tormenting exercise of body and soul was waiting for them.

As the night wore on, Li Chun told the three young men to sleep outside. In addition to not being fully accepted as a disciple, Li Chun said that it was one of the forms of training that he gave.

Sin Lou's body trembled knowing that, there was nothing else in the world that he feared but darkness. Imagining the dwindling bonfire and the sound of an owl echoing in her ear made Sin Lou's heart beat fast.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" Kyoto realizes the strangeness of Sin Lou and tries to ask.

"K-kyoto.. t-friend me for tonight." Sin Lou spoke stammeringly.

"Huh? What are you talking about? I'm not going anywhere." Kyoto felt a little strange with Sin Lou's current attitude.

Kyoto tried to ignore him but as he was about to step foot, Sin Lou swiftly hugged Kyoto with tears.

"I beg you.." Sin Lou said.

"Ugh.. let me go!" Kyoto tried to escape even to throw a few punches but Sin Lou did not budge.

"Seek your sister-in-law along! Why are you acting so weird like this, damn it!" Kyoto let out a heavy sigh after not managing to break away, the power of this damn brat was really on top of it.

Sin Lou glanced for a moment at Fu Chen, the young man had already closed his eyes and was leaning against a bamboo tree while crossing his hands in front of his chest. Sin Lou wasn't sure if the boy was actually sleeping.

Recalling the dark memories of his training with Fu Chen had traumatized him to sleep near the boy. Fu Chen never lowered his alertness during sleep, so when Sin Lou snored the child would directly hit him and it was really painful.

In the end Kyoto could only resign, he still felt tired because his condition had not recovered since passing the pressure in the bamboo forest earlier this afternoon.

In the morning they were awakened by a cold air that was so piercing that it made them shiver. It was still very early in the day, even the sun only distributed a little light to warm them.

However, Li Chun had first awakened and made some moves from the knowledge he mastered. Li Chun's rapid movements even made the dry leaves scatter into the air and made the surrounding air feel colder.

The three chose to warm themselves as Li Chun did. However, upon thought Fu Chen chose to absorb the qi energy in the surroundings because so far the qi energy entering his body felt warm.

"Stay away from me asshole! What are you really afraid of?" Kyoto couldn't stand it anymore, upset that Sin Lou kept clinging to him.

"B-well." Sin Lou spoke softly but he did not really move away, so the two often clashed in movement.

Fu Chen started to frown after nearly 30 minutes of trying to absorb the qi energy in the surroundings but produced nothing. Fu Chen had tried it a few times but not the slightest bit of qi energy he felt at that place.

"It's weird, why can't I absorb the qi in this place?" Fu Chen asked inwardly, trying to focus himself but the results remained the same.

Fu Chen thought that this place did not have qi energy but it was impossible because qi energy was an embodiment of natural energy, while this place is only inhabited by one person.

Because there was no other choice Fu Chen also did the same with Sin Lou and Kyoto.

"So the movements that the person did relied only on his physical strength? In a place that did not have qi energy like this at least he had to save his energy, unless outside of this place there was qi energy that was quite dense. I'll have to make sure of that later." Fu Chen muttered softly.

Li Chun then approached Fu Chen as the sun began to appear on the eastern horizon. Li Chun asked Fu Chen to call his friends, they then gathered in the courtyard of Li Chun's house.

Li Chun had apparently prepared six wooden buckets that made Fu Chen and the others a little surprised, what was that many buckets for? moreover, its size is not small.

"Today you have to prepare water for you to bathe from outside the bamboo forest and look for game animals for dinner. Remember that! Don't come back while you can't carry at least one full bucket for each person." Li Chun then handed the six buckets to Fu Chen, Sin Lou and Kyoto.

"Emm, can I ask you a question?" Fu Chen slightly raised his right hand.

"No!" li Chun replied briefly.

"Why doesn't this place.-" Fu Chen couldn't finish his words because Li Chun immediately cut him off.

"Didn't you hear my words?" Li Chun stared intently at Fu Chen to the point of making the boy undo his intentions. "Do your duty, hurry!"

"Good!" Fu Chen, Sin Lou and Kyoto said in unison, the three immediately took their respective buckets and hurried to prepare the necessary items.

"Hmm. he realized it only from a small incident that he had experienced." Having no beard, Li Chun simply stroked his chin while watching Fu Chen walk with great caution.

"I'm sure his orders can't be that simple." Fu Chen thought as he continued to look around, hoping for a clue to a question that was in his head.

"Come fast! What else are you waiting for?" Sin Lou waved his hand when he found out that his two friends were still far behind.

Fu Chen and Kyoto soon caught up with Sin Lou and when the three of them were already on the outskirts of the bamboo forest, Sin Lou was a little excited because the task Li Chun gave him was very easy for him.

"What he's supposed to ask for is lunch! Even though it's still early morning, for whatever we're looking for dinner, huh." Sin Lou grumbled softly but did not cover up his happiness for finding water so easily.

Fu Chen immediately restrained Sin Lou as the young man was about to draw the river water that was on the border of the bamboo forest. Fu Chen then took out some dried leaves and threw them into the river, within seconds, a bunch of sharp-toothed fish immediately finished off the leaves until they were not left.

"I guessed it wasn't as easy as he said." Fu Chen smiled faintly as he had found a clue. But on the other hand, a new question arose in his head about what kind of task Li Chun actually gave.
