Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.111 - All Has Passed

Fu Chen and his friends resumed their journey after filling up the food supply. Because Fu Chen believed in leading, their first goal was to return home.

Fu Chen planned to train with his father to reach the stage of the Combat General. Fu Chen was confident enough to reach that level in the near future thanks to the Celestial Goddess Peaches. Being a Combat General at the age of nine, just imagining it made Fu Chen smile to himself.

Fu Chen also brought five horses that had previously been used by the warriors he had killed at the inn. Fu Chen did not tell any of his friends about the swordsman, Fu Chen just pretended to have enough money to buy a few horses.

Their journey was fairly smooth and there were no obstacles, only to pass one more proof until they would arrive at the Falling Star Village.

Initially Fu Chen was very happy because his hope would soon be realized, but all that was lost when he was standing right at the mouth of the gate of the Falling Star Village, while still glued to see the unusual scenery of the Village.

The streets were very quiet, there were only a few people who were seen doing their activities. Some houses also seemed to collapse and fall apart, what happened? This was not the Falling Star Village he was familiar with.

Fu Chen slowly stepped his feet with a feeling of anxiety, his eyes looking at every face that was on the way. They looked pale, there was no visible passion from their expressions. Suddenly a shadow that revealed the figure of a carefree girl flashed through Fu Chen's mind.

Without any wind and rain, Fu Chen suddenly shot straight in one direction and headed for his house. As well as the other eight youths, they had the same anxiety as Fu Chen so it was as if the entire young man's cue had spread to their respective homes.

"May 'er! Mama!"

Fu Chen opened the door of his house loudly, but his breath was immediately restrained when he saw the contents of his house were very messy. Fu Chen should have realized that this house was not in the house when he saw the courtyard, but his anxiety was too high to make Fu Chen ignore it all.

"May 'er…!" Mum…!" Fu Chen continued to call out that name while inspecting every room. The feeling gets more complicated when he sees the clothes of his father and mother are still intact, because it is impossible for them to travel without carrying all this.

Fu Chen had inspected the entire room up to the cattle pen. However, he still did not find his sister or mother.

"Mei'er... come out! Don't worry your sister!" Fu Chen walked a little further, even looking for him to the fields where his father used to work, but there was no one there.

While trying to surround Fu Chen Village, he accidentally discovered a burial ground that he had never seen before. I don't know why his chest felt tight when he saw the number of tombs there.

Fu Chen's gaze was locked on the two adjoining tombs and was conspicuous among the others. Fu Chen walked towards the tomb while putting aside the conjectures in his head.

Fu Chen's heart started to ache when he saw the many wreaths in these two tombs. A sword also lay neatly on one of the tombs and made Fu Chen's mind even more chaotic.

"Haha... This is a joke, right? Tell me if this is just a joke, right?" Fu Chen's lips began to tremble as he looked at the name engraved on the tombstone, "Whoever? Aren't you…?"

"Dad.. Aren't you strong? Aren't you from a very powerful clan? Butwhy? Why did you end up like this?!!"

Fu Chen hit the grave ground with emotion but was also sad. "Don't tell me, you also brought Mei'er and Mom with you?"

Fu Chen turned his gaze to the tomb of another one that was in front of him. He had no power to see more clearly the name of the owner of the tomb but from the first word written there, Fu Chen could guess who the owner of the meal was.

"Basic..Daddy is useless! What have you been doing all this time!!!" Fu Chen kicked and stomped on his father's tomb to vent his anger and sadness. His heart was completely broken, his mind was empty and only filled with an outpouring of emotions.

While in other places Sin Lou was also very surprised when he saw the condition of his father who lost one hand. But Sin Zhou was more worried about Fu Chen's condition when he found out his father and mother were dead. He asked Sin Lou to look for Fu Chen's whereabouts as soon as possible.

Sin Zhou grew even more anxious when he saw Fu Chen was not in his house. After searching for places for almost an hour, Sin Zhou saw Fu Chen curled up next to his mother's meal.

Sin Zhou could only look at him with a guilty feeling of not being able to protect the little family. Sin Zhou approached Fu Chen slowly, not wanting to disturb the boy's grief but he also had to encourage his feelings.

Sin Zhou let out a long sigh upon seeing Tang Shu's messy tomb, presumably he understood what Fu Chen was doing before he came.

"Son.." Sin Zhou patted Fu Chen softly on the shoulder, the words he had arranged suddenly disappeared when he heard the sound of this child's crying. In any case, he was just a nine-year-old child, losing the figure of both parents must have taken him by surprise.

"Your father sacrificed his life to protect this village. He didn't die in vain, your father was a great hero who advanced alone when we were all helpless." Sin Zhou smiled faintly.

"We also feel the same loss as you, but at least try to hold on. While you're still alive, there might be good things going on in the future." Sin Zhou stroked Fu Chen's head gently.

Sin Zhou heaved a heavy sigh as he looked back at the tomb of the couple, despite having come to him many times but that feeling of guilt never disappeared. All passed so quickly, even he himself was still in disbelief upon hearing of Tang Shu's death.

Sin Zhou continued to give Fu Chen a boost for 30 minutes before finally the boy was able to calm down a bit. Fu Chen tried to accept the fact that his parents had left, with a heavy heart he left the tomb with Sin Zhou and Sin Lou.

That night Fu Chen rested at the Sin Zhou residence, Sin Zhou deliberately had not told him anything about his younger brother due to concern for Fu Chen's condition. Fu Chen's still-chaotic mentality made him not want to eat and fall asleep faster.

"Hopefully he's not too burdened by this." Sin Zhou muttered softly before letting out a long sigh. He promised to take care of Tang Shu's two children to help him.
