The Steel House was one of the branches belonging to the Xiao family that sold swordsmen necessities. Most of the items they sell are heirlooms and weapons that are commonly used. The Xiao Family had at least had 50 branches standing in every Song Imperial City.
Their business is getting bolted because not many are able to compete with it. Xiao Jung himself as the first child of the Patriarch of the Xiao family had the privilege of every visit to those shops, he was able to pick up some of the items he needed.
After arriving at the Steel House shop, the two of them were greeted by a servant and immediately brought the two to enter.
"Chen'er, you wait here. I'll talk to the store manager, find a sword that you find interesting." Xiao Jung quickly left Fu Chen after saying so.
Fu Chen only looked at Xiao Jung for a while then circulated his gaze around. The store was quite quiet, probably because people were resting after punishing the Mayor and Hang Xie.
There were guns on each side of the room. Fu Chen approached them one by one, the servant who had previously still followed Fu Chen while occasionally explaining some of the weapons that Fu Chen pointed at.
"Steel House Stores provide many types of weapons and most of them are low and medium level. To a high level alone can be counted with the number of fingers in this shop," said the waiter as Fu Chen continued to compare the weapons he encountered.
Fu Chen stroked his chin while nodding, since earlier he had continued to notice the difference between the two tiers on the same heirloom. Intermediate-level heirlooms have better sharpness and material quality. Even the storage power of heirloom qi is very different from low-level heirlooms.
"I wonder, did the Xiao family also sell heirlooms above a high level?" Fu Chen was quite amazed by the business that the Xiao family ran, even in the branch shop alone there were some high-level heirlooms, there would probably be heirlooms above that level in his central store.
The servant then explained to Fu Chen, their shop located in the Imperial Capital always sells two Gold-level heirlooms every month. It was not easy to obtain heirlooms at that level, even the Xiao family had to pay a heavy price just for the materials alone.
Fu Chen raised his eyebrows, it was indeed not easy to find a Gold level heirloom in this Empire. Even the Gold-level heirloom he had seen was only the sword that Xiao Jung had always carried, even though Xiao Jung had gotten it because of his background. The Xiao family's ability to obtain the heirloom showed their business was huge.
From the books he had studied, Fu Chen knew that heirlooms did not only have three levels. After the high level, there were still other levels namely Gold and Diamond. Both of these levels are said to be quite difficult to get because the manufacturing materials are very rare, but it is also in need of a reliable forger to make it.
After those two tiers, there were still other tiers that Fu Chen had learned. It was said that there were still three levels above the Diamond level, Fu Chen only knew one of them was a Sacred Heirloom. The existence of a Holy Heirloom could be said to be extremely rare, even for the Middle Continent.
Fu Chen guessed that the heirloom that the Tang clan Patriarch used during the war that wiped out the clan was a Sacred Treasure. For Tang Shu had once told him that the Patriarch was able to compensate for the dozens of Sacred Swordsmen armed with Diamond-level heirlooms.
"Does this ring also have an heirloom on that level?" fu Chen thought to himself.
According to him, it was impossible for the elders of the Middle Continent to attack the Tang clan just to obtain the pile of gold within this ring. There must be an heirloom that no one has even seen before.
Fu Chen had intended to check back on the trip, he himself still could not believe it if he had managed to open it.
Fu Chen's gaze then led to the waitress beside him, then asked, "Can I see a high-level heirloom in this shop?"
"Sure, Sir." The waiter nodded then escorted Fu Chen to a glass cabinet guarded by several second-rate warriors.
In the closet there are several different types of heirloom weapons, Fu Chen can feel a sensation of difference from the heirlooms he had just met.
"These are the high-level heirlooms in this store. We will replace them with other heirlooms if they are not in the interest of the customer for one year."
The waiter opened the closet and allowed Fu Chen to observe him more closely. Fu Chen's mouth opened slightly, yet no sound came out. These heirlooms look so amazing in his eyes, he cannot estimate how much each of these heirlooms cost but certainly not cheap.
Fu Chen's eyes then accidentally saw a long wooden box lying at the bottom of the closet. Fu Chen asked the box to the waiter.
The waiter picked it up and took the wooden box to a nearby table. Fu Chen was a little astonished yet he followed the servant from behind. The waiter then immediately cleaned up the dust while explaining something.
The sword looked like a katana, but the scabbard and hilt were only a little polished wood, making it less attractive to the field.
The servant pulled the scabbard slowly and revealed something that surprised Fu Chen.
"This sword has a sharp side that is upside down on its blade. The shop manager was initially a little hesitant to buy it when he saw this sword. However, the swordsman who sold them continued to persuade by lowering the price," the waiter explained.
"Can I hold it?" asked Fu Chen who was curious about the sharpness of the sword.
The waiter gave it to him carefully. Fu Chen could see each side of this sword was extremely shiny, its sharpness was even superior to the heirlooms displayed in the cupboard.
"Is this sword still on sale?" Fu Chen mwrasa needed to order this sword first and would pick it up another time after making sure if the mountain of gold he saw earlier was true.
Fu Chen felt his encounter with this sword was a destiny to control the killing appetite that always came out as he fought. With the uniqueness of this sword, perhaps he could stress himself not to kill more humans.
"This sword originally wanted us to move to another city to find its fans. However, if you feel interested in him we can cancel that plan." The servant smiled gently, feeling that this sword had finally found the right owner.
As Fu Chen and the servant were watching the sword, it turned out that Xiao Jung was done with his affairs and walked closer towards Fu Chen, who was not interested in the sword, behind him was a 50-year-old middle-aged man following.
"Have you seen the heirlooms here?" xiao Jung asked with a meaningful smile.
Fu Chen put down the sword he was holding and nodded his head. "Yes, are we leaving soon?"
Xiao Jung did not immediately reply, he glanced for a moment at the sword that Fu Chen had been holding. "Are you interested in that sword?" Xiao Jung started to approach and observed the sword once more.
"An interesting sword, I've only seen a sword like this for the first time.Do you like it?"
Fu Chen was silent for a moment before finally nodding with a wry smile. The sword had already captured his heart.
Xiao Jung stroked his chin while looking at the sword. "Hmm... High-level heirlooms, huh? All right, take this for you." Xiao Jung sheathed the sword and threw it at Fu Chen.
Fu Chen's mouth opened with a frown, not expecting Xiao Jung to give the sword away for free. His gaze was then directed at the servant there and then back at the sword he was holding.
"Don't refuse it, just think of it as compensation for your sword that I broke at that time." Xiao Jung confirmed his words, he himself very much agreed for Fu Chen to use the sword with those upside down eyes.
The manager who had been tailing behind Xiao Jung only smiled bitterly at the carefree Xiao Jung in his shop. He had to make a false report about the sale this month.
Initially Fu Chen was a little hesitant to accept the sword because the sword he used before was not even an heirloom. However the doubt did not last long after he rethought the usefulness of this sword.
Fu Chen notched his body to give thanks to Xiao Jung, then he smiled widely and strengthened his grip on the sword.
Xiao Jung smiled in satisfaction then lightly patted the Manager's shoulder behind him. "Please help me explain this later" he said, smiling meaningfully.
The smile made the manager feel uncomfortable. It was like he had a sign of trouble.
