Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.109 - Goodbye

Some villagers who were previously still dead were immediately consumed by anger, when they saw the condition of their village. But their resistance did not yield any results, one of Qaio Wuji's men was enough to finish them all off.

Qiao Wuji then asked all his men to gather their dead comrades while Yuan Meng was still fighting. Qiao Wuji could only let out a long sigh when he found out that almost half of his subordinates had lost their lives to Tang Shu.

Qiao Wuji was getting curious about the real figure of Tang Shu, but it seemed like only Yuan Meng knew that person well enough.

"Chairman, their deaths are very detrimental to us, especially in the near future we will attack a middle sect. Would it not be better if we immediately escape before this group is destroyed?" said a subordinate Qiao Wuji was quite worried.

Qiao Wuji massaged his forehead for a moment, "You think he'll let us go? If it wasn't for his ability I wouldn't have followed this crazy plan either."

"But the Chairman, if it goes on like this then-"

"Shut up!" Qiao Wuji snapped, "Don't make my head hurt any more! I have to think of a way to avenge the death of my men to that man…"

Qiao Wuji thought for a moment, he remembered that Tang Shu had always asked for the whereabouts of his son, "Right, where is that swordsman's son?" qiao Wuji asked as he tried to cover up his grin.

"She... What does the Chairman want to do to the girl? If the Chairman wants to hurt him, the Chairman should say that intention, because Mr. Yuan Meng will kill you if you do."

"What did you say?"

Qiao Wuji was a little clueless, however, when he heard his subordinates telling him about the fate of his comrade who had fucked Fu Mei, Qiao Wuji's countenance immediately changed.

"Give up Shu'er, your death will only make your son suffer." Yuan Meng walked up to Tang Shu who was already sprawled with blood covering part of her face.

The one thing that Yuan Meng hated from every member of the Tang clan was simply their stubbornness. No matter how he persuaded them, the people from that clan always dodged and felt it was better to die. Their dedication to the ancestors was so great that it was a stage that Yuan Meng could not understand.

The fight between Yuan Meng and Tang Shu was actually over, but Tang Shu with all her perseverance was still trying to get up and make Yuan Meng run out of ways to extract information from her.

"Give me one clue and I'll guarantee the safety of your son and the entire surviving villagers."

This was the last offer Yuan Meng gave, if this time Tang Shu still insisted then he would really level this Village with the ground.

Tang Shu wanted to laugh, but his throat was so full of blood that he could only cough.

"One day my son will come to take your life!" Tang Shu spoke stammeringly, he propped up his body with a sword so as not to collapse to the ground.

Yuan Meng who heard him just stared at Tang Shu flatly, even at a time like this she could still say such nonsense? Think Yuan Meng.

"If that's your wish then I'll grant it.." Yuan Meng then turned her body around and left Tang Shu. He deliberately did not kill the man because sooner or later Tang Shu would also die by herself.

Tang Shu's body that had been suffocated due to the loss of a lot of blood immediately collapsed. For the first time in a long time, Tang Shu's tears were no longer contained. Guilt as a father also graced his mind.

The wind suddenly blew slowly, as if carrying Tang Shu's soul toward a place that had been determined. While Yuan Meng continued to step towards the Village with mixed feelings.

Upon entering Yuan Meng Village immediately headed towards the direction where Tang Shu laid his son. Yuan Meng tidied up the girl's clothes before taking her and approaching Qaio Wuji and his men.

"Sir, what are we going to do to this village?" Qiao Wuji slightly smiled bitterly as he saw Yuan Meng so attentive to Fu Mei. She did not ask about Tang Shu's condition as it was certain Tang Shu had died.

"Gather all the bodies and all the living inhabitants to this place." Yuan Meng then looked for a place for her to sit down, she looked at Fu Mei for quite a while while thinking about Tang Shu's words.

"What does the child expect from this girl? Even the quality of his bones was no different from that of an ordinary human." Yuan Meng muttered after checking on Fu Mei's body condition.

After waiting for a while, all the surviving residents gathered in one place, while the unconscious and the dead were put a little apart.

Yuan Meng then walked over while holding Fu Mei, "Who is the Village Chief among you?"

The residents cheered each other, no one dared to speak because they were still terrified. Although a little scared, Yoshi Kishimoto ventured to answer Yuan Meng's question.

"S-I Mister.." Yoshi Kishimoto got up while trying to hold back his legs that started shaking.

Yuan Meng walked over to him, then patted the man's shoulder gently. "I heard these villagers are keeping their property somewhere, show me!"

Yoshi Kishimoto's lips became stifled to speak, the money was the savings of the residents, especially now that they would need a lot of money to rebuild the Village.

"Just calm down, I just want to check the treasure of one of the villagers. Ah, please take care of this girl as well and give her the proper clothes." Yuan Meng showed Fu Mei who had been in her arms ever since.

Yoshi Kishimoto looked at his citizens for a moment, but in the end he only complied because the lives of the villagers were much more important. Yoshi Kishimoto handed Fu Mei over to one of the citizens beside her before leading Yuan Meng to where she wanted to be.

Upon arriving at the location, Yuan Meng just kept silent while looking at the many neatly arranged wooden crates there. Yuan Meng searched through the wooden coffins one by one to look for Tang Shu's name.

"Gentlemen, whose property do you want to look for? Maybe I can help you find it." said Yoshi Kishimoto in a trembling voice.

"No need, I've already found it," Yuan Meng approached in one direction in the room, there was quite a dense qi energy in one of the wooden crates she saw and it attracted her.

Yuan Meng looked at the wooden coffin for a moment, there was Shu's name engraved on the wooden crate. Yuan Meng slightly hoped that Tang Shu would keep her grandfather's Earth great-granddaughter in this place.

Yuan Meng felt a little surprised when he saw the contents of the wooden coffin, inside it was only a sword and some resources. There was also a leather pouch containing silver and gold coins, but that was not what Yuan Meng wanted. He looked for it more thoroughly but the results remained the same.

"Damn, where did he hide the heirloom?" Yuan Meng snorted softly before taking out a simple compass from under his cloak. "Even this compass shows no sign of the existence of the heirloom in this village?"

Yuan Meng sighed softly, "If not Tang Shu, then who carried the heirloom? Damn, for decades I've only found a few members of the Tang clan, and none of them knew about the heirloom."

Yuan Meng slammed the wooden box before leaving, without saying a word afterwards. Yoshi Kishimoto was shocked half to death when he saw Yuan Meng who was suddenly enraged. Yoshi thought that it would be the end of his life, it was fortunate that Yuan Meng had only ignored him since earlier.
