Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman

Legend of the Heavenly Swordsman
Ch.32 - New Student Games

Fu Chen returned to tidying up the room the next day, his body so tired that it made him sleep soundly all night.

"If you think about it, it's also good that I live alone in this room. I can practice and absorb qi freely." Fu Chen looked at his room which was spacious enough to do some small movements from his training.

Fu Chen and the rest of the new disciples gathered at the sect training ground to hear the direction from Feng Youxin as the sect leader for quite a while before the ceremony was over.

Feng Youxin told them that the Holy Sword Sect would choose the ten best disciples to be able to choose the scriptures in the library pavilion.

While students who are not selected will only get general training that will be taught in each class. Therefore the Holy Sword sect made this match to determine the top ten disciples among the new disciples.

Fu Chen was overjoyed to hear the explanation from the Sect Chief. If Xiao Jung's words were correct, then he was confident enough to be able to win that match.

While going around the sect, Sin Lou complained because he could not have any new friends in his room. One room with Kyoto was frustrating and exhausting as the two began to argue.

"I heard you were looking for trouble with someone yesterday. What exactly are you doing?" Sin Lou asked curiously, the news of Bai Yan sobbing in tears as she exited Fu Chen's room had already spread so quickly.

Fu Chen could only scratch his nape realizing the matter would not end just like that. "To be honest, I'm not the one looking for trouble, I just had to." Reply Fu Chen while shrugging his shoulders.

"Not to be afraid, your sister-in-law will always take care of you…"

Fu Chen smiled wryly at Sin Lou's words. A full-time day needed to get around the sect, some were even no longer strong enough to walk. From all over the place, Fu Chen had set his favorite place, it was very suitable for him who did not like the crowd other than that there was also a hall to practice.

Two days later, the new students had already prepared themselves for the match. They only need to choose one of the stacks of papers containing the numbers to determine their opponents.

Many inner disciples also watched this match, most of them intended to recruit new members to be subordinate or just look for prey to seize the resources given by the sect every month.

Xiao Jung came to watch as even some of the other core disciples followed him due to the coercion of Xiao Jung.

"Brother Xiao, what do you expect from these boys?" One of Xiao Jung's friends said listlessly.

"You're right, I haven't even had time to finish my breakfast when he suddenly drags me here."

Xiao Jung smiled proudly and then sat with his legs raised to the spectator bench in front of him. "You see, I brought in a genius worthy of our witness."

The two people that Xiao Jung had dragged to accompany him looked at each other for a moment, they just sighed and sat down beside Xiao Jung.

"You're supposed to bring us some food if we want to keep you company looking at boring stuff like this."

"Come on, aren't you curious as to who will be the strongest disciple of this sect in the future?"

"No!" Both answered simultaneously.

After the entire disciple got his number, an Elder started to speak, "Before starting the match, I will explain some. rules that you should not break…"

The elder was seen speaking quietly, but as he was streaming Qi into his voice until it was clear to both the audience and the participants, it was as if he was talking beside them.

The elder laid out one by one the rules that apply during the game. Participants will be declared defeated when they are unconscious, out of the field, get serious injuries and give up.

"Your opponent will match your sequence number, remember.you are now already sect disciples, so there is no need to overdo it in injuring your opponent…"

"Remove your feet! you're blocking my way." A woman scolded Xiao Jung cynically.

"Hm?" Xiao Jung raised his brow with his feet still on the bench in front of him. A few moments later he smiled.

"Hoho, what is this, I did not expect that a figure like Bai Chi would watch a match like this." Xiao Jung lowered his eyebrows to seduce the woman named Bai Chi. "Is that how much you fell in love with me, so willing to follow me wherever I go?"

"It's none of your business." Bai Chi replied curiously, he is one of the core disciples in the Sacred Sword sect. He was also a genarist with Xiao Jung, their age was not much adrift even though Bai Chi was older than Xiao Jung.

"really? or did you just come here to watch your brother cry all over the dorm last night? the sound of her crying was so loud that it was heard in my room, I wonder who made it that way." Xiao Jung held onto his chest while putting on a sad face.

Bai Chi cursed inwardly, because of his sister's actions he also had to bear the embarrassment as his sister complained while sobbing sobbing in the female dormitory of the core disciples.

Xiao Jung chuckled, "Hehe.. This is my personal business, why do you always associate it with family?"

"Put off your legs or I'll cut them myself?!" Bai Chi was really upset facing a person like Xiao Jung.

"Fufu. All right, all right. I gave the way wide for the princess." Xiao Jung smiled faintly as Bai Chi started to step up.

Just as Bai Chi passed by Xiao Jung, Xiao Jung grabbed Bai Chi by the leg, causing Bai Chi to fall down.

"Pfft, hahaha.." Xiao Jung and his two friends laughed at Bai Chi who was so pitiful.

"Miss, are you okay?" a girl of Bai Chi's followers tried to help Bai Chi stand up, but Bai Chi just kept his head down while raising his hand to stop the girl.

"Once again you mention the Xiao family in front of me, then your fate will be worse than this." Xiao Jung lowered his head in remembrance of Bai Chi in a cold tone.

Bai Chi stood up and left there with a bad mood, he said he would avenge Xiao Jung's actions many times over.

"Miss?" the girl asked worriedly when she saw her nona was silent and went away.

"Damn it, I missed a few matches because of the princess." Xiao Jung clucked in annoyance, but his two friends could see that he was very happy at the moment.

"You're so mean to a lady friend." One of Xiao Jung's friends laughed in satisfaction after saying so.

"That's right, you should have caught him so that the princess wouldn't fall."

"Haha, I'm just afraid she's a witch disguised as a princess."

Bai Chi was known as a strict person and always used his position as a core disciple to oppress other students. He was even willing to seize the resources of his own friend, his arrogance was increasingly formed because people were always submissive before him.

Not many dared to go against him as he also included the top five strongest disciples in the Sacred Sword sect. Only a handful of people could act casually before him and one of them was Xiao Jung.

due to being focused on Bai Chi for too long, Xiao Jung missed many of the ongoing matches. Luckily the people he was waiting for had a pretty far-reaching order.

The referee who regulates the course of the match then mentions the next participant. "Participants number 56 and 57 please step up to the arena!"

"Look at the full strength of your future sister-in-law." Sin Lou smiled widely then climbed the arena with a puffed up chest.

"Currently, you can only dream of being my sister." Fu Chen clucked in annoyance, his friend still had not given up as well to chase after his sister.

"My opponent turned out to be quite easy, a country boy like you doesn't deserve to advance to the next round." Sin Lou's opponents were descendants born in the Holy Sword sect, so they had obtained training from their parents since childhood.

"Whatchu mean? I'm not from the village but the village, you understand?" reply Sin Lou relax.

"You guys ready? get started!"

When the referee gave a cue, Sin Lou's attitude immediately changed drastically he installed horses that were quite sturdy as a prefix. He was reminded of Fu Chen's remark to not underestimate the opponent regardless of his condition.

"It's pretty awesome for a village boy like you, but it's not enough!" Sin Lou's opponent attacked first by shortening the distance between the two.

He saw a slight gap in Sin Lou's defense, swiftly circling Sin Lou to get a chance. Sin Lou knew the purpose of his opponent's attack, as he always looked towards his front legs.

Sin Lou then deliberately loosened the defense and sure enough, his lawyer immediately moved quickly to hit Sin Lou's foot. But unfortunately the movement was a fatal mistake, Sin Lou who had expected the attack immediately twisted his body and kicked right in front of his opponent.

"Whoah! since when did the kid use his brain?" Fu Chen stood cheering from his seat as he did not expect Sin Lou to be able to read his opponent's movements.
